Mr. Electric called and said they would send over an electrician to solve my problem. I wanted my electrical panel moved to outside to accommodate a Generac generator. Brandon recommended a plug in to accommodate electrical cords from a generator. I called Mr. Electric to fix some wiring issues that I created while changing out light switches. The office had given me a time span which I was fine with. A little while later they called back and stated that they had an earlier time if I wanted it. That met a lot to me so that I could get the job done sooner and had a set time. The technician, Brandon Ritzie, showed up as stated. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The circuit was a complicated arrangement but Brandon worked on it with out frustration and solved the problem in a timely manner. The work was done and I was happy. Thanks for coming out on short notice. The whole process took about 25min. I asked how much it would be to change out the GFIC switch. I already had the part and I wired incorrectly. They never responded and I called and left a message to call me before sending a tech out. Once the tech arrived they told me it would be 176.... Prices were not very reasonable to install a light fixture and 2 fans. Additionally, the technician was not friendly at all. Extremely blah person that did not seem to care about his work/customer. It's unfortunate as the office staff was very friendly and responsive. I called for an appointment. They advised they could not get me in that day but the next morning. I told her I would just try another place and if u can't get something today I would call back for the next day. She told me she would get me in that day between 12-5p. 4:15 comes around and I call. Never again!!! Needing to have 6 fixtures replaced (3 sets of 2) small fixtures easy access. Already have fixtures in place just needing new ones installed. Quoted $2900.00 When their tech showed up he explained they do a inspection on whether things are up to code in the home. (Not something we asked for or required during this visit). This quote was presented first and it was for $3600.00 it included putting in a surge protector box, a grounding rod, rewiring new smoke detectors for each bedroom, and making new modifications on the breaker box. Felt totally blindsided by all the work that was being suggested. Expecting a reasonable quote for light fixtures and ended up with a quote that totaled $6500.00. Feel like it was more of a sales pitch. The tech was very nice and professional I'm sure he was just towing the company line. He did ask that we give a review for his visit, we really had no words to offer since we were still picking our mouths off the floor from the estimate. And all this for the simple charge of $59.00 and they want a glowing review!!! read more

This is honestly the WORST quality and customer service from a company I've ever received. This is not an exaggeration. They have been rejected for inspections multiple times for my home and have put a HUGE SETBACK in my progress. They have no sense of urgency and do not care about their work at all. They did not coordinate with inspectors nor did they even LOOK at what they didn't get approved on. This was an absolute mess. Waste of time and waste of money. Do not use this company. read more

We were in the middle of moving and he was just a breath of fresh air, during a time of chaos. I am sincerely grateful to Robert for taking the time to reach out to me, with the utmost kindness and sincerity. He went above and beyond to let me know that he cared about me as a customer, and wanted above all, for me to be happy with the service I received from Mr. Electric. they came out to look at a blown breaker and said I would need a new panel and disconnect and grounding rods. this was to the tune of 11000. they charged me 59 dollars.This house had a retire in 2009 and passed inspection in 2022 when I bought it. I got a new main breaker and extraction to put it in for 300 dollars. do not use these people ever. the other electrician said they were a scam. read more

I do not recommend this company to anyone and would like to share why. I was a first time customer of Mr. Electric Ft. Worth recently. I had an electrician install a ceiling fan in place of a flush mount light fixture and replace some bulbs in tall ceilings. Aaron was on time and courteous, however shortly after he left I realized he took the original flush ceiling mount light fixture as well as the box and papers that the ceiling fan came in with him when he left. He did not ask me if I wanted him to dispose of the trash and must have done so without me noticing otherwise I would have stopped him. I called the company to notify them that I wanted my original light fixture as well as the manual for the new fan installed from the box. They said they would contact Aaron to see if he still possibly had the items on his truck but likely not. I said if not, I would appreciate my bill being credited for the value of the light fixture at least. The representative without hesitation said "well we can't do that because it would come out of Aaron's commission but we can replace the light- it was only worth $15-20." I was shocked. As someone who works in the customer service industry it also offended me. She did not ask me to provide a model number for my light fixture, description, picture, etc. to attempt to match it but instead made an assumption. Also, it has been a week since that phone call and I still have not received a follow up call with an update on when they plan to return to my home with whatever light they assume I owned... not professional at all nor the right thing to do. Clearly they are more concerned with their electrician's commission checks over their customer service protocols. read more

Downright crooks. Paid $380 for 30 minutes of work. Was told this was the "troubleshooting" price and sometimes it's takes 20 min and sometimes hours. I accepted the price gouge the first time I used them because I needed a job done quickly, but this time was absolute robbery. They wanted $349.00 to change 4 smoke alarms ,the tech even said they were $20.00 smoke alarms So I guess they charge $.269.00 labor for an hours work. We had all ready taken the smoke alarms down. He bragged they were easy to change , he didn't even have to flip the breaker. We told him to get the hell out of here. We just moved into a new (older) home to find that one circuit was not carrying current. Mr. Electric dispatched Clint, who very patiently went from end-to-end of the circuit. After hours of searching, he identified the issue and replaced the defective parts that were its cause. He also educated me about some of the things unique to our new, but older, home and taught me what to watch out for as we began living there. We had a problem with our 220 power with the 110 working fine. We called and asked what the charge would be to get a technician to take a look and fix the problem for us. We were told $200 for the service call, while that was a little steep, it was after hours so we had the technician come to our home to find/fix the problem. Foolishly we did not ask the question .... Will the diagnosis of the problem be covered by the $200 fee? Laugh if you like but the answer to that question would have been NO. To actually get the tools out and look at the problem was an additional $189. So we paid $200 for the technician to drive to our home (wish I could get some of that action). Now we're $389 into this nightmare and nothing has been done. The technician pulls the cover off the electrical panel, pokes around with some tool I don't understand and then says the panel is bad and must be replaced-----$7900. WOW So over $8000. Strangely enough as if by magic or maybe a unicorn came to visit us the problem completely disappeared 5 hours later. Thinking over $8000 is a lot of money we paid another electrician to come take a look and we were told our electric provider was probably working on or had lost a leg (not sure what that means really) and around midnight it was restored. The Mr. Electric technician called the next day to let us know he couldn't do the work because it was raining. We told him we got the power back and he claimed the box was probably shorting and needed to be replaced. There was no evidence of shorting. No charring on the metal in the box and it's still working without problems. The average charge to replace a residential power panel is between 1500 and 4000. Our box is not made of gold so I don't know why it was going to be so expensive to fix a problem that wasn't actually a problem. The sad thing is the technician could have called Oncor and been a hero and left happy with his $389. He didn't though and now he looks, to us anyway, like a guy who was trying to take extreme advantage of people who's experience with electricity is flipping a switch to turn something on or off. We'll never call on Mr. Electric again. read more

They sent an appointment confirmation and it had the electrician's photo and name, which I thought was great. Todd called prior to showing up on time. . I contacted 2 electric service companies on Thursday. Milestone and Mr. Electric. I scheduled with Milestone to come out on Friday to install a ceiling fan. There was a service charge of $69 but I went ahead and scheduled since they could come the next day. I then saw the add for Mr. Electric and called. She also told me they could come Friday and she would waive the service call. No brainer. So I scheduled with Mr. Electric and canceled Milestone. My window of service was 12-5. I left work at 1:00 to meet them at my home even though they had not called yet. I decided to call their office just to confirm that I was on the schedule. She says yes I was just about to call you. I said great because I'm on my way home. She then says, no they are behind on other calls so they would have to cancel me and reschedule for Monday. I told her that was not acceptable and that I had canceled another company already to go with Mr. Electric. Didn't matter one bit to them. It was Monday or nothing. I have no respect for companies that pull stunts like this. I wouldn't give them my business now if they offered it for free. Anyone reading this, call Milestone. read more

Todd Knutson from Mr. Electric arrived within an hour of my calling to request help with a electrical wires that got crossed when I pulled out an old dishwasher. Todd was able to learn the basics of the problem and needed someone to help with crawling under my home. Remember, that it is very wet under my house. He was not able to return for three days, but he returned to crawl under my home and fixed the problem. I especially appreciated his cleaning up some connection that were not completed properly initially. Great work. Thanks!!! read more

Todd was able to complete my requests in a couple of visits although I received a similar voice mail message on the second visit needing to hear from me in order to dispatch the technician. By the time I called back she had dispatched so apparently she got schooled in the interim, although she acted like she had done me a favor dispatching the technician for my appointment. We had Mr. Electric come out and do several things... Fix an outlet, replace two switches, replace 4 can lights, and install 3 ceiling light fixtures plus secure wiring from a removed track. They work hard and in a timely manner and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I plan on using them again in near future for some remodel work . I highly recommend Mr. Electric. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! Mr. Electric are scammers. I called up on a Sunday to inquire about the fee for a service call. I was told it's $59 on weekends and NO CHARGE during the week. So of course I scheduled an appointment on Monday. I asked over and over again if there was gonna be a fee..."no sir" was the answer everytime. So I drove over an hour to my vacation property in Granbury, during a work day, to be then told by the tech after he did nothing other than listen to the EXACT SAME STORY I told the rest of them at Mr. Electric... He says "well I have to do a diagnostic on it first to find the problem." How much is that I ask? Somewhere over $300!!! Just to tell me what's wrong!?!? I get on the phone with the "Office Manager" and she starts explaining her business to me like I am a 2 year old. Then when I tell her, angrily that her tech wants $300+ she tells me the diagnostic fee is $182.50? And that they can't tell me IF I need a diagnostic UNTIL they get out here! I say "why not?" She responds "it could be something simple but if somethings not working, we have to investigate hence the fee." I told EVERYONEat the place i spoke with that all the electricity was out and that I had tried the breakers and nada!! I don't know squat about electricity but i do know you have to investigate! Gave us such peace of mind knowing the job was done correctly the first time. We were just as pleased with the charges for the job as well.
