We opted for the burger with fries. It comes as both a classic burger, with chicken or a vegan-option. And best of all - the fries are actually gluten-free since nothing with gluten is made in the same frier. The kids stated "best fries ever". Oh and the service was quick, fun and super friendly.

I ordered spicy and although it wasn't spicy enough, I could pile on as much Siracha and chilis as I wanted. (People started to stare.) Everything here is gluten free so I guess that is great if you have food allergies. But really, the majority of asian food just tends to be gluten free in general. No surprise there. This place seemed pretty popular. It was hard to find a seat and I don't really know why. They have locations all over the city and are open late, so it is pretty convenient. There are very above average vegetarian options, including spinach, mushrooms, nopal, tofu, and seitan for burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. The burrito wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great. I liked the texture of the tortilla (pressed on the grill), but the fillings weren't particularly good tasting. I also thought the burrito was lacking flavor and could have used more ingredients (some salsa, sour cream, and guacamole like the quesadillas included certainly would've been nice). The steak, rice, and beans weren't bad but didn't taste particularly good. There were also diced tomatoes and onions that were fine. Overall, I would go here if you're in the mood for Mexican food and in the area because it's not bad, but I can't recommend this place for having a particularly good burrito.

But the other mainly younger crowd seemed to be grooving to it! The guys who run this place are obviously big metal fans, one wall is covered with pics of men in gimp masks. Either that, or along with the hard seating, it's an effective device to keep the customers moving and discourage lingerers. If I was to be critical, I would highlight their steak cooking process, which seemed not be via a grill, more like steamed steak! Were I to return, I'd choose another filling and perhaps take some earplugs along. Sorry but it has to be three stars.

I had their filtered coffee and a piece of one of their in house baked cakes ( almond cake?). Both items were very tasty! The staff was super friendly and was quick to make my coffee! They had the cutest cookies and petit fours next to the register and I was tempted to buy them all! Actually later that night I got to try some more of their cakes and pastries! We tried a piece of their blueberry cheesecake which was really tasty. We also had an assortment of chocolate treats which were equally as good! We ordered a bottle of the Vino Verde, 4 tapas (Spanish omellete, peppers, dates with bacon and mushrooms) and the mixed grilled seafood platter. It was our only meal of the day and still we had trouble finishing it and had to take some home. The tapa portions were generous and the fish platter was huge. I would order every single of these dishes again when I come back (and I will). The Vino Verde was great too. Everything was about 75 euros, which I think is more than reasonable. Practically every conceivable type of cocktail is on offer, some with slightly unusual takes. EAST has become my go-to place for power Asian fusion in Hamburg.

The surrounding is at a sports complex and the restaurant interior resembles this somewhat. It is not really a cosy restaurant but definitely not uncomfortable. You can eat outside too. The service was very friendly. All in all: we had a very nice meal!
