RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!! This is the absolute WORST place to…read morestore your precious items. Last year 2024, I already had items at the facility (iStorage Bayport) which I pay over $350 per month. When I entered to get something out last summer, I realized the air conditioning unit was NOT WORKING, which they advertise and I'm paying for "Climate Controlled Units". The management claimed that the unit recently broke (2 Weeks at that point) and they were waiting on parts. Judging by the smell of the place and the moisture on the floor, I could tell it was longer. I put a complaint in to the corporate office, that my items were smelling like mildew and I was told to contact the insurance company, even though it was due to their negligence and faulty equipment. I didn't follow up because once you put a claim in, the insurance goes up (we all know how that works) Plus at that point the Summer was ending and I was hoping for the best. Fast forward one year later, Summer 2025... I just went to my unit and once again the AC in non operational!!! and has been out for several weeks. The inside of the building STINKS OF MOLD!!!!!!!! THERE IS MOISTURE SPOTS ALL OVER THE FLOOR!!!. ITS A COMPLETES BREEDING GROUND FOR BLACK MOLD. ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO SPEND TONS ON MONEY TO KEEP THEIR ITEMS SAFELY STORED ARE BEING LIED TO! THIS COMPANY COULD GIVE A CRAP LESS ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS!!!! I just called to complain yet again and demand a total refund. I was told to call the insurance company, they don't compensate clients. The electricity works Monday through Friday but seems to never work on weekends. Their response, they don't charge for electric so they won't repair anything. I believe it's to save money.
