Read to the end The…read moresewer line was backed up and initially I had a reputable company come out to snake it and clear the pipe. The tech did what he could and ran into an obstruction. He recommended hydro jetting it for an additional $485 and then sending a camera through (another $250) to take photos to make sure the line was clear. I decided to get a second opinion and luckily found Dustin at Honest Sewer and Drain. He came out to the house the same day, was able to take a photo (for NO Charge) without hydro jetting and locate the problem as a root ball growing into the pipe. He snaked and cut out the roots and the line is flowing again. All for $270 (after a 10 percent discount)! No hydro jetting, no charge for the photos. The next day the bathtub line was clogged and he came out and got it flowing again. No additional charge! Hard to believe but it's true. Dustin is in it for the long haul - he understands that a business is built on delivering competent, professional and honest service. So refreshing to work with Dustin and his team - highly recommend!

We were told it was out of warranty and that nothing was wrong, despite an active leak and recurring gas error codes even after multiple restarts. When we contacted the manufacturer directly, Rheem confirmed the unit was still under warranty. Because of this, we hired a different plumber and replaced the unit. We are now dealing with ongoing issues with the manufacturer regarding reimbursement for an identical replacement water heater. Communication during this process was poor, and we felt blamed for the issue rather than supported. In a text message exchange following the service, we were told we should "hire some other plumber" going forward and were referred to as "clowns." Screenshots of this exchange are available. Given our prior history with the company having done 2 water heaters and multiple plumbing repairs over $5000,, the handling of this situation and the tone of communication felt unprofessional. He has a strong technical knowledge of water heaters, including furnaces and air conditioning. He told me all the rebates available. He knows all the new laws and when they take effect for gas & electric water heaters. He even knew the permit requirements specific to my Rio Vista. He told me all my options, including their advantages & disadvantages. He did not pressure me. He made sure I knew all my options. Then he sat back and gave me time to decide. Once I decided, Mark sent out a Jose & Aaron to install my Bradford White water heater. Jose is a craftsman who takes pride in his job. He pays attention to the finer details. He wants the finished job to look professional. I watched him work. He did an outstanding job. He and his assistant, Aaron, work efficiently. Aaron anticipates what tools Jose needs and hands him the tool before he even asks. Like Mark, Jose is very personable. He explained to me how to relight the gas pilot light if it ever went out. He was patient. He made sure I understood how to do this. They cleaned up nicely after they were finished. I had read many positive reviews about Cozy Home Services before selecting them. They were respectful and hard working and Jose communicated well with us. We chose cozy home because of Mark the salesman. He was by far the most knowledgeable of 3 different companies who quoted our job. Cozy home was the middle of 3 prices, but with it being a Mitsubishi system I didn't expect the bottom dollar. The only down side is the proprietary thermostat, I'm not a fan. I would like to switch back to the old thermostat we had.
