Located in Boxpark the nearest entrance is via the train station. This is one of the many eateries…read moreto be found here, as I have said previously there are a great many to choose from. As with all the eateries at Boxpark space to sit down is limited, I think the Fish Wings and Tings can hold 8/10 people down to eat. The food is simple as the name suggest a bit of FIsh, Some Wings and one or two other things!! The starters offer a fish option, the Cod fish fritters, which were ok, wings and prawns in Red Strip Tempura batter or prawns with Granny Suzy Pepper sauce. I went with the prawns and Granny Suzy Pepper saucy and as per the norm the prawns were messy to get to, I would suggest that they provide something to enable you to clean your hands after you have battled with the prawns!! Granny Suzy pepper sauce had much fire to it, just short of being uncomfortable, you have been warned! For the main I went with the Jerk chicken and I have to say I was looking forward to it after facing the fire from Granny Suzy pepper sauce. I was a bit disappointed as it was more of a sweet jerk than a spicy one, nether the less the chicken, rice and peas were all well cooked. I would have gone for a chicken roti option but they only listed a prawn, goat or veggie option in the roti selection. We managed to snag the best table, its right by the bar and under the heater. As the doors were wide open upon arrival and it was not the warmest of evenings it was a good choice. We remained at our table for a good couple of hours and never felt as though we need to leave, they were more than happy for us to continue to top up drinks as we chatted away. The only draw back with our table was that the walk-ins all had to stand behind me to order their food. All in all enjoyed the vibe that Fish Wings & Tings has to offer, its close to the actual Boxpark bar which has a substantial sound system, you have been warned!!

The Mayfair Chippy - My to go order was so tasty. Fries could have been crisper but the fish was on point!

Mayfair Chippy absolutely lived up to the hype. The fish was fresh, flaky, and wrapped in a…read moreperfectly crisp batter that stayed light instead of greasy. The chips were thick-cut, properly salted, and tasted like real chip shop fries instead of frozen fast food fries. The place was completely packed, so I ended up eating on the stairs about a block away, honestly felt like part of the experience. One of those spots that doesn't try to reinvent fish and chips. it just does the classic version better than most places. Would easily go back next time I am in London.

(I heard the non GF version was also excellent.) Platter came with flavorful mushy peas, tartar sauce, and a spicy mayo (or currry for the non GF platter). Chips were large and delicious. Portion was huge, and easily shareable. Delicious!! Service: It was ok. We waited in line for a really long time (more than an hour) but we were checked on from time to time. Once we were seated and ordered, no one really checked in, but we asked if we needed something. Ambiance: Cute outdoor seating. In door seating was okay. Reservations get to go into a back room which seemed nicer. Lovely side street in a crazy busy popular area. It's a solid 4.5 stars for what it is because the food was so good. I'd return. Tip: Make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance, or be prepared to wait...a long time...Or, skip the line to order takeaway and go enjoy your food!
