Expensive. They tried scaring us into very pricey repairs that we don't need. I will try another company next time.

This was some of my feedback to Ray 1 week after he cleaned my chimney:…read moreGood afternoon, I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the chimney service you provided last Friday. it is important to note my roof required no ladder to access it. The home is built in to the side of a hill and can be walked on 1. Invest in paper covers for your shoes/boots to be used each time you walk through someone's home from outside. You were in and out of the home several times, leaving a trail of dirt each time. Your customers should not have to Vacuum your footprints. This is a standard in most service industries. Not having shoe covers is disrespectful towards your customers homes. 2. Purchase several smaller, narrower attachments for your Shop-Vac. A 5" wide, all purpose vacuum hose doesn't cut it. Generally speaking, I appreciate the inspection and the general cleaning of the chimney, but overall would rate the job as incomplete: 1/5 The reason for such a poor rating is due in part to not having the right attachments with your equipment inventory and not being able to clean around the box itself effectively. In short, you were sloppy, annoyed at having to check another part of the box, and very anxious to get paid and move on. You were in so much of a hurry, you left your ash bucket in the house and I had to chase after you before you sped away. I spent more time vacuuming and cleaning up after you than you spent cleaning the chimney. I received superior service when Randy owned the business. You were called because I still had his contact information. Lesson learned. I will not be using your services again.

He was very easy to communicate with as we worked to find a good appointment time. He came when expected and did his job. Called me right away with results and his findings. We chose the tile and the principal designer, Erin Sharp, designed a fireplace around these. See photo with green tile. My sister in law had a fireplace window crack. She called, and Erin had a technician there the next day to fix a flaw and replace the window. The fault was with the manufacturer, not the installation. So I recommend this shop highly for design, installation, and service.

However, when I turned the fireplace/pilot off and turned off the propane line the problems began. When I turned the propane line back on and attempted to light the pilot it did not work. I called the company and reported the issue. Dan responded that pressing the "flint" button 3 times rapidly should cause the pilot light to work . I did as Dan requested but the pilot did not light. The final solution Dan offered was to lift the window on the front of the unit and light the pilot using a firestick. This worked but I am very dissatisfied with the need to always lift the glass and use a firestick to light the pilot. I suspect that during the cleaning process the lighter mechanism that is the standard way the fireplace manufacturer expects to light the pilot was misaligned with the burner. Dan never offered to come out and review the issue on-site.
