What I had: pisco sour sabroso, fish tacos, Mexican Cobb salad, draft beer
Ambiance - 3.8/5
It's set in the middle of what I believe to be one of Santiago's best escapes, Araucano Park. It's on the lower level and makes for a great stop if your spending the day lounging in the park or if you work nearby. Due to the subterranean location you don't really get the nature-lovers feel, but there are nice outdoor tables and the indoor decore is adequately Mexican. There's a stage and a DJ for 8:30 and later.
Service - 3.5/5
I mean, nothing bad to say, but I hate having to flag down a server like I'm stranded on "get me another beer" island. The place was busy on a Thursday evening at 8:00, and TRUST ME I'm trying to judge by Chilean standards, but I really felt like I was trying to make myself conspicuous at this place, to no avail.
Food - 3.0/5
The drinks dragged down this score. I ordered one of their happy our pisco sabrosos and it came out warm. Hard to forgive especially when the drink had the familiar sugar-burn of too much high fructose corn syrup, the likes of which are often found in cheap pre made cocktail mixes. The tacos were descent, with warm crispy flour tortillas, but the taste did not overly impress. The salad was descent enough, and I doc them no points because no one ever blows minds with a Cobb salad.
