Be forewarned. As nice as the husband-and-wife team of mrbunkbed.com are, the product and customer service I received was not good. I was given a completion date that was reasonable, so I gave them my 50% deposit. Then I had to hound them, ask for pictures of progress, until finally I received the bed 3 months later (July 2022). It comes in pieces and the assemble occurs at your home. They did give me a $100 discount for all the delays. After 4 months (November 2022) the boards on the face of the murphy bed started to separate and one board split (see photos). I contacted them and was told it was normal and to touch it up with the paint they left with me and to use caulking if need be. In January, I recontacted them and provided additional photos where the separation had gotten so bad that now the separation is greater than 1/2". I asked for them to come and repair the bed. They said they would when they were back in my area (at their convenience). Mrbunkbed.com did acknowledge the excessive defect/shrinkage of wood is something they had never seen before. Yes - wood shrinks from drying out. However, the massive gap revealed the use of an outer shiplap board rather than a locking inner board. A tremendous amount of caulking was used to hide it. Poor craftmanship and a little unethical in my opinion. Especially since they are woodworkers and know to compensate for wood shrinkage. I don't normally write bad reviews. I am well aware of the impact bad reviews can have on a small business. I do not leave this review out of angry or spite but to protect the consumer and hopefully motivate mrbunkbed.com to improve the customer service and use the quality materials they state they use in their Craigslist ad. read more

When we converted our garage into a guesthouse we needed a bedroom solution for a small space that was versatile and attractive at the same time... which is why we were interested in a Murphy Bed. We visited several shops in and around Los Angeles where we live, but found the options to be either reasonable in price, but very low quality - or high-quality but outrageously priced. Then my wife found Mr. Bunkbed on line and we were off and running... Brandon was very patient with us and was able to talk us through all the many options we could consider for our custom Murphy Bed solution. We got everything we wanted (cabinets, lights, night tables, finishes and hardware) at exactly the right specs and dimensions to fit our needs... AND at about 1/3 of the price the brick and mortar stores we visited were charging! The bed was delivered almost completely assembled and, if not for the fact the delivery driver arrived 3 hours late, came alone and asked me to help him bring it into the guesthouse it (you have no idea how heavy these things are until you try to lift one) I would give the experience 5 stars. Not Brandon's fault, really, but holy smokes was I wrecked for the next few days. We look forward to a bright and long future together with our new bed and would absolutely recommend Mr. Bunkbed to anyone who needs this same product. read more

I am overall satisfied with the bed because it does what it's supposed to. The 3 star rating is because I wish there would have been better attention to detail. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the way the wood was cut and put together. Some measurements seem to be off, leaving gaps or uneven lines, the bed also creaks a ton when I get off or on (I weigh 105 lbs). Lastly, there are scratches and spots in the paint, splits in the wood, and unsanded/damaged areas. Will leave pictures below. read more

If I can put no stars I would, I don't believe what kind of a job this company dose, I contacted them for a Murphy bed, the owner was polite and he texted pictures of the different models they sell, I choose one, I paid in full and a week later, I received a call from the truck driver telling me he is handicap and he needs two people to get the bed out of his truck, so my husband arranged for another person to help him unload it. I am listing here what I had to go through with this order. 1. shipping and handling was bad. 2. wrapping was bad too, the tape were stuck to the paint, which caused the paint to peel from few places. 3. The paint was bad it seems they put one quote and we had to repaint the whole unit. 4. Instruction had nothing to do with the actual unit, none of the pieces were marked or has holes for screws or attachments, we had to drill the holes and measure everything. 5. Door Horizontal pieces were cut short in three places you can see in the pictures. 6. The handles were attached at different heights. 7. Screws sent in a plastic bag, it was drywall screws not wood screws. 8. screws cracks all over which could be avoided by drilling holes in the plywood first. I really regret doing business with this company, when I complained to Mr. Porter the owner, he texted back saying happy mother's day, he did not even acknowledge my concerns. Perfect Size, color was custom, great fit in our home! We went and viewed one at someone's home (that should tell you how they build this that people allow them to be seen and tested in their homes) and we knew it was going to be the bed. They are made in America, have accountability, and are great parts of the community. Quick and easy even during the COVID times. If anyone is saying otherwise they are probably just salty in real life! These guys are fun REAL people. We are considering a 2nd and actually 3rd bed. These guys are G R E A T! Brandon at Mr. Bunkbed has done a great job for us. The bed is top quality and they were right on time installing and servicing the bed. They even let us pick the color we wanted and confirmed and reconfirmed the color. They came and the workers were extremely professional and he is a real person running a small business. This is not cheap plywood or cheap parts. They are way better than buying something from Costco, or Ikea, or one of those wall bed stores with all the chemicals and chinese pieces. I have even had a few people come by and see my bed in action. It is a thing of beauty. We had the tiniest of issues and he fixed it immediately. Ahead of schedule and about a third of the price as well! I vouch for this business and we are people who do our due diligence. A local Southwest business?! do not... i repeat... do not order anything from this company.  extreme lack of professionalism,  crap build and now harassment.  brandon is a terrible representative... rude, egotistical and extremely unprofessional.  wood doesn't line up,  scrap pieces were used,  wood was broken and chipped is some areas.  splinters everywhere. nails were not sunk in right.  finishes don't match.  drawers aren't even designed or put together correctly. caulked a broken piece of wood and then tried to put a brand new mattress on top of the wet caulk. not to mention the front piece wasn't even sanded down.  i had to go in and fix it just so we could use it.  i'm still not done with all the corrections! still need to put the second coat of paint and then seal! luckily, i stopped payment on the remaining 50% owed. it's not even worth 50% we paid! read more

I was looking for a Murphy Bed (king or queen) that was made out of quality materials. I found Mr. Bunkbed on Facebook. Since this business is in Overguard, AZ I was not able to "go see" the Murphy Beds. To compensate for this, Brandon sent me a video of one of their Murphy Beds (construction, finishes, etc). I decided to purchase a King Size Murphy Bed from Mr Bunkbed, despite the fact that I could not find any reviews (positive or negative) on Yelp, BBB, etc. Brandon was professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the entire process. He delivered and installed the bed in less than 3 weeks and it is absolutely beautiful.. at a fraction of the cost of other furniture stores. I highly recommend this small family business.
