Aside from the dross that the management seem to employ here, who will mouth off at you if they knock into you, (how pleasant), this place is quite nice. As well as arcade machines of all nature, it features bingo and Quasar too, and the staff in this instance will happily open it up for you and some mates to have your 15 minutes of fun with a laser gun if it's not otherwise open. The Quasar center itself is on the 2nd floor, up a corkscrew of stairs, and if you're waiting they'll get you a cup of water or tea in most cases, whilst you're waiting for the game being played to be concluded, and they'll even stick on some music of your choice to listen to whilst you're fragging each other, or even put one of your own mix CD's on, which is always a hoot, (some friends and myself once played a game listening to the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie soundtrack). The arcade machines are fairly well spaced out, and offer a great variety, and also include the good old 2p machines, and being near to the High Street itself and Adventure Island, you could easily make a night out just up this endof the seafront strip alone. read more
