It is once again growing in popularity but the majority of the events are local am drams or dance schools. Inside the theatre itself is really nice, the seats aren't that comfy but you're not there for long so it doesn't matter. Ticket prices are always very reasonable and because it's a fairly small theatre the seats are always good. There is a car park next to the theatre but it fills up immediately - be careful in the car parks in the surrounding shopping centres because you can only park for 2 hours, eve on the pay & display.

I've been to this place both as a general pub-goer and also entertainment, and I love it…read more It's a family run club in a remote area of canvey, and everything about it is right, the mood, the setting, the atmosphere, there's even some old arcade games in the corner. Whilst not having much for kids, there is a great time to be had, and the atmosphere is always very calm and quiet, the lighting adds to the mood, and it's a great place for a quite night out to have a few pints with your friends.

The only downside on the last occassion, about 4 months ago was the temperature in the theatre. Everyone was freezing as the air conditioning was set to high. I did ask a member of staff in the interval if they could turn in down, which they did. I was so cold by this point that it ruined my enjoyment of the show. Always take a jumper just in case, even in the summer. A nice theatre with helpful friendly staff and a nice bar for the interval. The main theatre has just been refurbished. I will update my review on the new decore the next time I go to see a show. I have now been in the refurbished main theatre and I could not notice any difference!

Having been back to…read morePitsea gala recently after going to the Basildon Gala it is so small, which in turn means less people and much less prize money. When I was last in there a couple of months ago it was so emply, i'm surprised it is still a viable concern. This was a lunchtime, perhaps the evenings are better. The staff were all nice and friendly and the caller was clear. I would be surprised if I went back to the hall again. There no comparison with the Basildon experience.
