Important to note, we did privately reach out to the restaurant to give them the opportunity to respond and the Restaurant Manager gave a very nice, apologetic response and offered to credit our meal back. When we did not receive the credit, we politely followed up (over the last two months) and they have not responded further.

They had a server fully dedicated to us and I'm telling you he was awesome ..ask for Mehfil..best server. Food was super good. We were a party of 7 and must've ordered 20 items from the menu..which is reasonably priced by the way. The food was amazing and very authentic. Everything was made to order and was super hot. I have to let you know...the bread were great but the Lachcha Pronta was my favorite bread. The service was quick as well and we left fully satisfied. Drinks are also amazing ..the coconut drink is served straight in a baby coconut using the water from the coconut. Also had a Cobra Malabar Beer. kulfi dessert was excellent. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would.

It is completely possible to grab a couple curries for a large meal and keep it under 20 quid, but that's not what my group did. We ordered five fabulous dishes and feasted. This is my favorite take-away in London…read more While Shahanshah has some indoor seating, its very basic canteen style and is build for praticality not style and ambience. To my knowledge, there are actually three Shahanshah's in Southall/Ealing, but this one specialises in vegetarian cuisine and sweets. It's also the closest to the Mrs's. You can't get home delivery, you have to rock up in person. It also closes at 8pm. It's also always busy, queues and queues of locals all lining up just before closing wanting their food. But, it is truly the most amazing food. Simple, fresh, moreish food all at really reasonable/cheap prices. 40p a Samosa. I've never been disappointing, and we've had a fair few meals from here. Nothing's ever come out greasy or cold or stodgy or limp. Well, with the invention of JustEat and all those convinience sites to make the process of getting your regular Indian to your door without any delay or hassle, why leave the house and make the journey? Because, to paraphrase a well known female product ad.... It's worth it.

Sorry this keyboard does not have the POUND SIGN. For old times three of us ate here and had samosas and Aloo Chaat with two of us having Desi Chai (Chai Tea Latte) and me a can of Rubicon soft drink and all under a tenner! The Rubicon is still selling strong in this fine establishment. The samosas are freshley prepared in the back. It is rude when old school friends get together and not over order! We had to have the Obligatory extra chutney. You cannot go wrong. Decor is basic. The amazing aromas of indian sweets (Muthai) and the other currys do not disappoint. All the food here is vegetarian. Samosas and Muthai have been going strong here for over 20 years. They make all the Indian Punjabi comfort food and makes you feel good after eating. However not great for the waistline. You know this place is great when all the locals are still coming here and ordering by the Bucket load. Highly recommended experience and good vegetarian Punjabi food.

Quality/Quantity - What a great find, and this review shows…read morethe positive power of Yelp. We discovered this local restaurant through Yelp, and so did the other 2 tables next to us. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am so glad that you can benefit from Yelp. See you on our next visit as we were so happy with our hotel we plan to stay there again.

Crispy butter-ey bun with a well seasoned filling topped with a lovely chutney. One of the best vada pavs I've had. I would admit that I am a chilli paneer snob, and this chilli paneer is one I would definitely go back for. A little on the spicy side, but it does have the word "chilli" in the name. I would've liked the paneer cubes to be cut into smaller pieces. The one thing I wasn't impressed with the meal was the butter chicken. I found that the portion was way too small for as a main dish. The flavour was okayish. The garlic and chilli naan was good, a little on the crispy side. The chai is spicy and warm, in a good way. The service: Unfortunately, the service is what lets this place down. The staff are not welcoming or attentive, but I guess I am used to this kind of service in Southall. However, there is one gentleman here who was great, I believe he is one of the owners. He was personable and humorous. I would've knocked two stars off if it wasn't for this guy. The place: The restaurant has definitely been renovated since the last Yelp photos that have been posted! The wall decor is cool and modern. Tables and cutlery seemed clean, especially for Southall standards. Will be returning when I'm feeling peckish after a Southall shopping spree!
