Came here for a birthday meal with three other people, as we arrived we was greeted by an extremely friendly, and polite, server.
Seating times took approximately 7 minutes, to be expected from a restaurant during peak hours.
Began in the meat station, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food - I requested a blue steak and that was what I received.
The curry isle, however, offered nothing but disappointment - I have experienced more flavours in a gregs pasty. Bland, and disappointing.
Next up was the BBQ chicken - dry, bland and devoid of anything resembling flavour. The duck was even more so - wherever poor quackers is right now he is not happy.
Finally, the desert. The cheesecake was good - but the Apple crumble was what caught my attention. Visually it was akin to onion bhajis mixed with custard, yet the flavour was none existent and it was dryer than the Sahara - even with the custard accompaniment.
All in all, the service was good - the staff were friendly, polite and answered all concerns. Certain areas of the food require looking at - however I would recommend this to anybody within the Blackpool north area.
For the reasons stated above, I am awarding this establishment 4 stars out of five. read more
