I had a great experience for a small summer backyard party I threw. Friendly and professional bartender and bar back, reasonable rates and all work was done according to contract, which was also very clearly spelled out. Would definitely use again for my next event! Also: I found them on Yelp and there was quick and clear communication throughout the entire experience from initial inquiry to post event follow up. I'm just very late posting, but definitely give this co a try! read more

We love Mr. Bartender! My wife and I recently hired them for our casual wedding reception of 160 guests. Anthony was very responsive, and helped us pick out some signature cocktails that were AMAZING. We went with a classic Manhattan and the Juan Draper - the big hit of the night. They provided us with a shopping list that was pretty accurate with our headcount (we ended up with fewer guests than originally quoted, but I'm not complaining about a having few extra bottles of rye on hand). I would recommend you consider paying the extra charge to have them do the shopping, as the supplies can fill a car pretty fast. The bartenders showed up on time and happy. All I had to do was tell them where to set up the bar, and they took care of everything else. They were great and really friendly, checking in with me through the night, and occasionally slipping us cocktails or a glass of champagne to keep us fueled :) We had such a great time, we loved working with Mr. Bartender, we'll definitely hire them again! read more

Mr. bartender made my husbands birthday very special. Anthony was super helpful in planning our selections and flexible with scheduling. Zack, our bartender, was fantastic and did a great job interacting with our guests and the cocktails were outstanding. Best of all, there wasn't anything for us to clean up! read more

I've hired Mr Bartender twice now for two separate parties. The first time was fine - the bartenders arrived on time and were nice enough, but put out a tip jar when I asked them not to, then pressured me into a larger tip at the end saying they didn't make "hardly anything" on tips. But, the drinks were good, and Anthony was super helpful - always answered the phone and was really lovely. The second time I hired them, the bartender(s) stole a bottle of liquor at the end, and a few packs of red bull. So unprofessional. I called to let Anthony know and he was fine - I didn't feel like he really cared that much, and I got a half-hearted apology. All in all, they were fine - did the trick. The mixed drinks were good, and like I said, Anthony was helpful. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them, though, as I found his bartenders to be unprofessional both times I used them. read more

Used this service at my wedding over the weekend and keep getting compliments from all my guests. He was prompt, very polite and efficient in his work and kept the bar area looking nice and tidy. He looked great in the Mr. Bartender uniform of suspenders and a bow tie. As far as booking, Anthony, was great at quickly responding to my inquiry and being honest with what I would and wouldn't need for my small wedding of 70 guests. He didn't try to talk me into anything - just sent over the paperwork I needed to fill out and answered my questions. This was probably one of the easiest vendors I dealt with during my whole planning process. AND I only contacted them 3 weeks before my wedding but it was no problem! I definitely would recommend this service if you're having an event! read more

Drinks were on point and service was amazing! Had them bartend for my wedding this past Memorial Day weekend and it was a great hit! Saved so much going with them and had happy wedding guests ALL night long!!!! Could not complain...had a comprehensive drink menu to choose from and Anthony was very flexible with modifying the drinks if requested and his estimates for drinks were on point - did not have very much left over booze at all! Do yourself a favor and go with Mr. Bartender and you will not be disappointed! read more

Looking for a WOW factor for my husband's 50th bday party. I got blown off my feet. I don't think I will ever have a party without using Mr. Bartender. I can't find adjectives big enough to express how pleased I am with their service, professionalism and care. I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to my party planing. We use to call or sit down and get every thing in writing but now we use vendors we find on-line and never see in person so with all the e-mailing something can get missed. I need to confirm and clarify a lot. Owner, Antony must have the patience of Job. We e-mailed and talked a lot. He addressed all my concerns. The flexibility in his cocktail library is ridiculous. I gave a list of likes and dislikes, even stated I didn't want red staining ingredients like strawberry and raspberry, so he went outside his library and crafted the most tasteful cocktails I've ever had and the most eye appealing. I can't say enough about his calm and funny demeanor. Gabriel, my bartender, arrived set up and was on point all night. He didn't even want a chair to sit in. He was that serious about being professional although this party was given in my home. After dealing with Anthony and meeting Gabriel I knew I had a great vendor. I was able to enjoy the party and be worry free about the bar. My guest are stilling talking about the cocktails. Hopefully they will use the services. Overall, I don't have one hiccup or complaint about my entire transaction. I will definitely request Gabriel and the services of Mr. Bartender again. Sunny & Shayne thank you from the bottom of their hearts. read more

Let's just say...that the next time I need a bartender or need to recommend a bartender, Mr. Bartender will be on the top of my list. I am an event coordinator (Winnie Phung Weddings & Events) and had the pleasure of working with this team this past weekend. The bar was set up inside a barn, with limited space and I was amazed at how well they made it work. They were professional, friendly, stylish, and very fun to work with. They use fresh herbs and fruit juices in their drinks, and their drinks were delicious! What amazed me the most, was how well they were able to manage these specialty cocktails and move the line so quickly during cocktail hour! I definitely look forward to working with them again. read more

We used Mr. Bartender for a company holiday party. Our bartender was Maranda. She was amazing. The drinks were perfect. We did the mixers package, and Maranda came armed without fresh squeezed fruit juices and all sorts of fancy mixers. Everyone was obsessed with the cocktails. She was on time, fun, and an incredible mixologist. I highly recommend. read more

Loved having Mr Bartender join us for a work event. Patient, professional and collaborative, working with them was a breeze. No complaints!

Bottom line: great and affordable bartending and food service provider. Details: we hired Mr. Bartender to provide bartenders, servers, and door security for a pre-wedding party for 80+ people at a gallery space in Venice. CA. Anthony was great with communication before our event. And his pricing was quite competitive. Mr. Bartender ultimately provided us with all staffing. Anthony also purchased all the alcohol / drinks we needed for our big party. All the bartenders, servers, and security staff were professional and on-time. read more

Overall, we are quite happy with the service Anthony and his crew provided for our wedding. He came to our house several months before the wedding to offer some friends and us a tasting, to help us select craft cocktails for the wedding. This was lots of fun and really helped us narrow down the field. At the wedding reception, the presentation was stylish, and all of our guests loved the drinks, which featured some great ingredients (fresh rosemary, thyme, thai chilis, passion fruit, etc.). Anthony was also willing to work with some of our unusual demands, including muddling limes for the caipirinhas, which we appreciated. We really like the fact that Anthony was willing to let us purchase our own alcohol and some other supplies (soda, napkins, juice, ice, etc.). This kept costs down and allowed us to keep leftovers. Not as a knock on Anthony, but hopefully just as a helpful bit of feedback, I'll give a bit of detail about how the estimates matched up with the actual consumption: Anthony told us that "nobody drinks wine at weddings"; instead they drink cocktails, if available. We told him that our families drink a lot of wine, but he stood his ground, and recommended 14 bottles (we had 130 guests, about 120 of drinking age). We ended up buying 25 bottles, and still ran out of wine during dinner. We also ran out of beer by the end of the night. It was the cocktails that ended up being oversupplied, interestingly. Out of 36 bottles of liquor that I provided, we had at least 16 unopened bottles left over at the end of the night, meaning I spent more than $350 more than necessary. Not the worst problem to have, since we got to keep it all, but worth noting. The only thing I didn't like was that several times Anthony insulted our choice of spirit for the father-of-the-bride's toast. He is from Hungary, so we provided everybody with a shot of pálinka (fruit brandy). This is a special drink for those who lived in Communist-era Hungary, and the toast was emotional. Never a good idea to insult the customer's selection! That minor complaint aside, I would not hesitate to recommend Anthony and his crew for anyone planning a wedding or other event. read more

I booked mr bartender last minute for a Christmas party and I couldn't have been more impressed! I've never hired a bartender before but let me tell you I'm going to hire one for every party moving forward! Anthony and his team tended the bar and our wedding this Sunday just gone (10/05/14) and helped make the day a huge success. Friendly and professional at the same time. Anthony drew up a list of ingredients we would need for the two signature cocktails we provided on the day, along with an estimate for our wines and beers based on our guest-count. It really could not have been any simpler. Anthony and his staff were polite and good fun yet remained professional throughout; chatting at the bar and making guests feel looked after. We would use Mr. Bartender again in a heartbeat. The cocktails were second-to-none and our overall experience was without fault. Thank you Anthony! read more

We hired Mr.Bartender for our Wedding a month back. We wanted our guest to have a big menu to choose from since my wife and I are cocktail nerds. That was no problem for Anthony and the Mr.Bartender team. My wife and I decided to do 12 cocktails and Anthony and his team knock it out of the park!!! His response time was quick and easy. He helped us miscellaneous stuff and made sure we had everything. Cocktail hour was a blast! Service was quick, definitely trust Anthony with amount of staff we needed. I booked Mr. Bartender for a very important event with the coalition to end the war in Congo named Falling Whistles at BOXeight Studios for Human Rights Day in DTLA on 12/10/13. They arrived early, brought their own bars, had great recipes, and dressed in matching suspenders, bowties, and button downs. Our venue provided the alcohol, and they added the personality. Everyone was in love with them, and the drinks were on point. I recommend them for any future events you need bartenders for! I hope to see them at an upcoming event, because they know how to enhance the vibe of your event. Mr. Bartender provided the services for our wedding, and Anthony was a dedicated and reliable professional from start to finish! He was honest, transparent, and invested in the success of our wedding. From helping us develop a selection that was high quality and in our budget to driving to my house a few days before to pick up all the alcohol, he was an absolute pleasure to work with! When planning a wedding there are so many variables to stress over, and it brought so much peace of mind to be working a company as professional, reliable, and transparent as Mr. Bartender. It was a refreshing experience that reinvigorated my positivity, and left me feeling hopeful that not everyone in the wedding industry was trying to make an extra buck off my special day. I would highly recommend working with Mr. Bartender, and will certainly work with them again on future events. read more

Anthony and his team are awesome--super responsive, easy to work with, and just really personable--everyone loved them at my party and they just really seem to love what they do, which makes the experience that much better for everyone! We only had them serving beer and wine, so it was hard to say how their cocktails are, but we talked a lot about their ideas and what they typically do cocktail wise and it sounds amazing. We paid to have shopping service included in the package which made it easier for us to not have to worry about bringing ice or soft drinks, so I recommend that. If you're on the fence, trust me, do it! You'll be happy you did! And shoutout to Chris, who was the bartender at the event and walked me through the entire planning process. We hired Mr Bartender to serve at my girlfriend's birthday party. They created a custom drink for her based on her preferences, and then provided a list of their own cocktails from which we picked three more to create our drink menu for the night. It was a 70s disco themed party, and we picked appropriate names for all of the drinks. When our bartender Chris arrived (early) for the party, he had the menu printed and framed to be displayed on the bar. He brought in all of his equipment, had the bar assembled, had all of the garnishes prepped and ready to serve well before the time we had requested the bar be open to our guests. He was friendly and professional, and we would be happy to hire him again. The drinks were delicious.
