We would go to MPG Auto for another used vehicle again. My daughter was in need of transportation to get to college and work and we went there with four used cars in mind to look at that were within our price range. We inspected each one that we had interest in as best we new how. The car we were most interested in was a trade in (used), so just like any vehicle, we knew to expect that it wasn't going to be a perfect vehicle, but it would get us started. The few issues that we found that it had were all something that could very likely be fixed by ourselves or would not super expensive mechanic jobs. We were well aware that it was a "as is" purchase. My teenage children and I were very pleased with the dealer's friendly, quiet, non-pushy salesmanship way about him. We were made very comfortable to ask questions and feel welcome. He also put a genuine effort toward directing us and suggesting possibilities of fixing the few issues that this vehicle had and we were able to go home, communicate with our own local mechanic, watch Youtube tutorials, save money and successfully fix them ourselves. I would recommend MPG Auto to anyone. Just like anywhere, use your own common sense, do a thorough inspection (if you can) on the autos that you are interested in. If you don't know how, get on Youtube and do your best to learn how to inspect a used vehicle. On our way home each of my teenagers said they would go back to MPG Auto when they are looking for transportation. I had used MPG Auto a couple other times before now. And they did good the first time. I thought maybe the last time was just a bad day for them. Recently I had air condition problems on my Prius. They had the vehicle for over two weeks and were not in communication with me and put a new condenser in and charge $428. I would stop by a couple times during the week to see what they had found out and the car would be sitting out and they said they were working on it and trying to figure it out. During each time I stopped by the two men that work there were sitting in the office. Drove the car four times and the air condition is blowing hot air again. Also the mileage went up and upon getting the vehicle back found a Six Flags parking pass for a date that the car was in their possession. I spoke with the owner about these issues and he laughed. He asked what I wanted him to do and I told him to get the air condition working correctly. He said "we aren't an air conditioning shop and they were trying to help". I told him what would have been helpful is if they would have explained that they do not work on air conditioners and referred me to someone that did. He went on and said he did not know what I wanted him to do about it. I will not take a vehicle to him or buy a vehicle from him ever again! read more

I was looking for a good used car for my 16 year old daughter. She wanted something that would be helpful during the winter since we live in Missouri and never know what the weather is going to be like. I saw the 2001 Chevy Tracker on Craigslist and thought it looked pretty good and the description the seller gave was great! Gave him a call and he was very polite and not pushy at all. Pulled up to the business the next day and there she was bright red. The owner and other gentleman there were quick to greet us and happy to hand over the keys for a quick test drive. I had already made my mind up that this was the car for my girl. But he was able to provide more options and allow us to test drive another car as well. It was pressure free sales. His demeanor was cool, calm, and collected. The atmosphere of the place was very laid back. The entire process took less than an hour and we walked away with a safe and affordable used car. I am so very pleased with the Prius I purchased from MPG Auto sales, and the aftercare I have received. I couldn't believe the mileage per gallon, but I have done the math, and the display is correct, 41.3 MPG highway! I get about 37.5 MPG in the city. The owner of MPG is a wonderful person, not your typical car dealer. I have found that he is a very honest and sincere person who keeps his word. I recommend MPG Auto sales over any dealership in the state. I will be back to purchase another Hybrid next year. If you are looking to buy a Hybrid vehicle that is priced very reasonably, do yourself a favor and check out MPG Auto, you will not find a better price or a better person to work with. Mpg Auto helped me in troublesome times. My car broke down in Illinois and was undriveable. A member of MPG Auto, drove all the way out to Illinois to buy the car and towed it back. I was able to avoid any tickets thanks to him. On another instance he worked on my vehicle that was having issues. He was timely and kind and fixed the issue with no further problems. And a third instance, our truck broke down and was impounded. We could not afford to get it out of impound so we were set to lose the truck. So this member drove to Columbia to buy the truck from us. He paid the fees and we even had money to walk away with. And we were able to avoid any extra expenses due to impound. Overall 5/5 stars. I would definitely recommend. read more

I recently purchased a Toyota Prius from MPG Auto. I don't usually purchase from dealers, but this company was recommended to me by a friend because they are Prius specialists. I appreciated their no-pressure sales approach and am happy with the car I purchased. I was also sold on the fact that the vehicle came with a limited warranty. I have never gotten that from a used car purchase before. But it hasn't stopped there. The after sales service and support from their mechanic, Randy is nothing short of amazing. Bought a 05 prius from hear. Test drove a few the Owner worked with the price a bit. The ones I checked out all had really good tires Dents dings scratches but it's a used car lot all priced according. Owner was very polite. Even texted if we had made it home ok. We traveled 150 miles 1 way. Car came with an inspection and would of came with temporary tags but we noticed that my license had expired. read more

This guy gives used car dealers a bad name! He sold me a car for $2100 and 5 days later I find out it needs $3000 in repairs. On his website it says "ALL hybrids come with a warranty". Well apparently not because my car was a hybrid and he refused to take care of any of the expenses. He is very unprofessional to say the least. I have owned my 04 prius for over 100,000 miles and absolutely love it. the gas savings payed for the car in the first year. I bought an '05 Prius a few years ago and it has been a very reliable car, I've taken it all over the country, Minnesota, New Mexico, Florida, Nebraska, Missippi... always gotten great gas mileage usually around 45-50 mpg.
