Thx Moxy was my base on this trip to Brussels. Location was less touristy area but around the corner from shops and restaurants along Chaussée D'lxelles. Bus 71 was 1-2 minutes walk and that got me close to the historic areas. A separate 8 minutes or less walk to Porte de Namur metro connected to the various train stations. My room was upgraded to the fifth floor and included a balcony with a small table and chairs. It was decent in size but the bathroom was small. A capsule coffee maker and hot pot were included. Per the front desk all the water in the rooms were filtered. Breakfast was included and it was a standard mix of hot foods (scrambled eggs, potato, beans, bacon), cold cut meats, cut and whole fruit, fresh breads, cereals, make your own waffles and coffee machines. Staff were quite friendly. I appreciated all the help from the gentleman from Limerick who helped me plan my way to Bruge. He even made a flat white for me since I wanted it lactose free and the machines couldn't accommodate it. Gym was down at -1 level and had a pink colored punching bag (only second time I've used one at hotel), free weights with bench, mats and cardio equipment. It was roomy and quiet. Overall quiet and comfortable stay if you're wanting to stay outside the touristy areas. read more

This is an easy five-star review, and it's an unusual one. It takes a lot to get five hotel stars out of me. This hotel scored on all areas. Front desk staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Plenty of space for working or just sitting around having a coffee. 24-hour availability for coffee and snacks, even some fresh baked goods in the morning and afternoon. The room was very comfortable with a nice view. I was upgraded to a balcony room. If I'd had one of the rooms facing in toward the center of the complex, we might have lost a star. Excellent location on a quiet side street about 100 ft from a main Street. A few blocks walk to the Metro. Good TV easy to navigate. Tiny bathroom and shower. Plenty of electrical outlets for charging. In case I didn't mention it earlier, the staff was definitely the highlight of the hotel. Very professional, very friendly, everyone speaks crystal clear English. read more

Fantastic hotel with an ideal location, spacious rooms, 24/7 gym and wonderful staff. Per the usual Moxy way, a complimentary drink card is provided at check-in which you can redeem right at the bar. The room was spotless upon arrival and it has all the amenities necessary. Except for an iron and ironing board in the room. There's a small room on each floor for that which I did end up using. I suppose it's nice to have the board and iron already set up. The breakfast buffet was typical of hotel breakfasts which included the usual scrambled eggs, sausages, waffle maker, assortment of breads, cereals and yogurts. The coffee station was also very convenient. Overall, pretty good. Now, my favorite of the entire experience was the delight of the afternoon staff at the bar. They provided wonderful conversations and fantastic recommendations of places to visit/eat/drink around Brussels and other locations of places I was going to visit along my stay in Europe. This hotel is super chic and hip. Parents loved this establishment in regard to cleanliness, friendliness, and how they cater to their guest. Love that their lounge is spacious and great for gatherings with plenty of seating area. The bar has great drinks to choose from also. The attached restaurant, will get a review on its own, is super convenient, and delicious! I would recommend this establishment if you ever visit Brussels. We will definitely be back! Love the location and the service. Great ambiance in the lobby - you really want to spend time there, and there are many comfy corners and spots around. Location is great, walking distance to food and places, whether you are a tourist or a business traveler. The challenge is with the rooms though. There is not a single shelf in the room for any of your stuff. Not for your clothes, not for nothing. There is a wire rack attached to the wall with hangers - and there is nothing else you can use as a storage in the room. I can't imagine a family of three been comfortable in such a room for more than a day. A solo traveler can manage, of course. read more

Our family really liked this hotel during our one night stay in Brussels. Admittedly, it is geared towards the younger crowd with a bar being the center of the complex. One checks into the hotel in the bar area, and they offer each guest a welcome drink which is a nice touch. They have a modern gym/workout area. What they don't have, is breakfast. The room was a family style room, with one king bed and a couch with pull out that they already set up. Even with the pull out, one could still manuever around the room OK. There was a large TV with plenty of channels. The room can be used for people with disabilities, which is why the bathroom was so large. One interesting problem was that the large shower had no 'lip' to keep the water from flowing into the rest of the bathroom floor. This was our first time staying at a Moxy, and we chose it strictly for the location and price. We would stay here again. read more

I love staying at the Moxy brand by Marriott. You check in at the bar and get a drink. The drinks vary by location. This one is BEER, duh. The appearance is fun and inviting. There's so much to see and a few things to do! The rooms are very modern and small, but work. I recommend it, all of them, especially traveling the world. read more

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. The first night, despite setting the A/C to 18C, it would never cool the room below 24.5C and, in fact, stopped working. When we contacted the front desk, they dismissively told us to wait for 2 hours. I calmly and patiently explained that we had set it 4 hours prior, and the temperature had not come down since then. They sent a technician, who explained - possibly erroneously - that you could only have a delta/difference in temperature of 2 degrees between the room temperature and desired temperature. So we set the thermostat to 23C - two hours later, the temperature was still 24.5. We continued to apprise the front desk of the problem. They continued to sigh, gasp, and cut us off when we were explaining what was going on. I have been to literally hundreds of hotels around the world, and have never once experienced such a lack of professionalism. We calmly stated that it was not unreasonable to expect air conditioning to work, especially when it was very warm outside (over 30C). When they promised to send up a technician a second time, and didn't, we decided to move to another hotel in Brussels (Thon Hotel Stephanie) - we experienced absolutely none of the thermostat or rudeness issues there. We contacted our booker to seek a refund since we didn't spend our second night there. Any reasonable hotel management would have refunded our second night and apologized for the unprofessional conduct of their staff. Instead, after more than two weeks, the answer was silence. My recommendation: Don't book a room here! There is something wrong at the heart of this hotel's operations. read more

Stayed two nights. Room was bigger than at other Moxy hotels (Paris, NY). Bathroom was clean, shower worked great. Housekeeping came every day. The hotel staff recognized my Marriott status and left us two handwritten notes and snacks. Much appreciated! I really enjoyed staying there and would go again. The location is close to metro and bus. So convenient. I liked the walking area too, different from Grand Place area hotels and feel. Thank you to all the hotel staff again! read more
