I have completed 1 year of full yard maintenance with The Ground Guys. They contracted to cut the…read moregrass, maintain the mulch beds, trim the edges, pick up debris, remove leaves, prune bushes, overseed and aerate in the fall, activate and winterize my irrigation system. I also engaged them to install mulch and prep the beds as an added fee. They subcontract the irrigation services, and that company was very good, identifying where previously the system had damage that was not identified by my previous service company (extra fee for the repairs). They worked with me as well to adjust the watering setup to preserve new plantings. The GG's services were delivered like clockwork. They are very efficient and complete in all they do. When blowing debris for clean up, my wife was especially pleased that they blew leaves off of our back deck! That was a plus! Since I work from home, I was aware of their comings and goings and the work was always done well. When I had questions, the crew was very responsive to me and contacted the main office when there was some confusion about a schedule that was worked out very nicely. I see the cost of this service as very similar to and competitive with regular HOA costs for "full service" condo or townhouse subdivisions, but this is performed on my 1/4 acre lot. I find great value in this service from The Ground Guys and plan to renew my contract.

Where to start. I have been eagerly saving up for a concrete pad in my shop for years and Martinez…read moreLandscaping sh*t all over my dream. They poured concrete on 3/10/2025 and on 3/19, I decided to pay them the last bit just so they would stop bothering me. I feel sick looking at the terrible job they did. There's holes all over my concrete from shotty finishing and not vibrating, there's 3/8" low spots that hold water everywhere. They had to install a "bump" at the entrance so the garage door would meet the pad. From day 2, the garage door didn't close anymore. When I mentioned this to them, they sent out someone who opted to grab materials hanging off my wall, and come up with a "makeshift" solution rather than actually fixing it. I later fixed it myself in literally 5min. The "bump" they formed in isn't smooth and is completely different from one side to the other. I'm having to buy materials to redo it myself (Hundreds of dollars in material). They didn't cut in a single stress relief line in the whole 30x30 pad so I had to buy tools to do that too. They installed "drains" at the front of my shop so water would have somewhere to go. Naturally, they opted to steal conduit from my storage without even mentioning anything to me. On top of their thievery, the drains didn't even work. Their solution? Send someone over to hammer through the slab with rebar so the water drains under my slab... Causing erosion issues in the future. I should have hired an American company from the start. Not some unprofessional day labour company. Absolutely a total waste of money and I sorely regret ever giving them a dollar. I 100% could have done a better concrete job and I'm an electrician!

When we first moved to the area, we had multiple quotes for various landscaping projects at our house. Otter's was not only the most reasonably priced, but they explained things in a way that gave us options and the information to do what we wanted. They don't mind if you want to tackle a few big projects a year, and they're never pushy with trying to add additional services. They've helped us with everything from general spring clean-up to removing a massive 100-year-old tree from our backyard. It's been a pleasure working with them, and I can't recommend them enough!

In my 20 years of real estate experience, I have encountered numerous contractors and I must say that Otter's Landscaping is among the hardest working I have ever met. We hired them for various tasks including landscaping, handyman work, painting, and fencing and they exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Not only is their work of the highest quality, but they are also the kindest and most pleasant individuals to work with. We are already putting together another list of projects for them to tackle. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of their services.
