If you are choosing Pima to become a studying EMT, this is the best choice you can make. They have…read morea wonderful EMT program as long as you are prepared, focused, and ready to put in all the effort. They have amazing instructors, Mrs. Peterson, Mr. Young, Ms. Andreas, Mr. Schafer, and Mrs. Niedfeldt. I don't know where to start with the praise but here I begin. I started the program August 25th, of 2025, and at first I felt good and thought I was doing good until I started doing the bare minimum which was only studying the chapters and not really retaining the information well (which won't help you succeed you must do more) My main instructor being (Mrs. Peterson) pulled me aside and offered me personally help to make a private open lab session with her (open lab sessions can be scheduled by any student regardless of their status) And it was so helpful to me and I never once experienced a single negative thing in all of this course. I began studying for a few hours every single day Monday-Friday and really putting in my all and I am feeling great about my class now. All I'm saying is it is a great and friendly/positive environment to be in and as long as you are trying your best you should be successful. I'd say that 15 weeks is a little bit short and just a few weeks longer like 17-20 weeks would be extremely helpful to have just a little bit more time to understand the concepts and what not, I mean I feel like we should deserve a bit more time considering they have most programs at this school lasting over a year sometimes 2 years but anyways. Time for praising. Mrs. Peterson has been THE BEST INSTRUCTOR EVER. I find myself staring after class at least once or twice a week just to speak with her and ask her questions about the lecture and questions that I am just curious about in general, She is an extremely resourceful person and knows pretty much everything when it comes to EMS, I really feel that she is devoted to helping students reach their maximum potential. Mr. Schafer is the most comfortable I have felt with an instructor, when we are doing physically skills he is always straight to the point, and doesn't help you by telling you the answers, he'll test you to see what you know and adapt the way he's helping you based on your needs, He will explain to you what you need to work on and keep it real with you no matter what. I enjoy doing my patient assessments with him because there's no negative energy at all even if you are doing a bad job, he will do his best to tell you the harsh truth of what you need to know. Mr. Young is an absolute master of work, He keeps the environment extremely hilarious and dead serious at the same time. It's like he lightens the mood of the seriousness with his jokes but it really makes you retain what he's saying to you. He is also extremely knowledgeable and could answer anything I could even imagine regarding EMS just like all of the instructors of course but I've only really had experience of being lectured by Mrs. Peterson and Mr. Young. He is a truly excellent instructor. Mrs. Andreas is a very smart instructor. She's very harsh with you, and has no mercy on your mistakes. If you don't know what your talking about, making things up, or saying words that you obviously don't know the meaning to, she's really going to call you out (as all the instructors would) she seems to be the strictest instructor to me grading wise because she really wants you to succeed and study hard and fix your wrongdoings. She will make you understand that you should know way more than you do, and you must study hard to change that. Mrs. Neidfeldt i've only had the pleasure of working with a few times as I'm in the morning class, but she's a very sweet and kind lady, I learned some skills with her and we went over the 2/3 times and it was relatively easy because it was just review, but she's pretty cool all around and is for sure knowledgeable. She's answered a few questions of mine and helped me. Alright I know that was a lot but I needed to make sure my instructors got the credit they deserve. IN CONCLUSION, The entire environment throughout the program has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE, and EXTREMELY HELPFUL, they are setting you up SUCCESS surely. My classmates are all the absolute BEST as well. We all get along amazingly and treat one another with the upmost respect. The EMT program is an AMAZING DECISION to make for PIMA if you are deciding to pursue a career in EMS. I am hoping to pursue Paramedic next and can't wait to work with all of these instructors again in my next program ! Good Luck to all of you reading this, and I hope I could have persuaded you to choose the EMT program with PIMA.

I can't speak for the classes , but I can speak for the process on how getting started with the…read moreschool is. I think it be process is okay. A lot of trade schools require you to pass either a wonderlic exam or some similar exam, and a math exam. with PIMA you are aloud four tried for the wonderlic , the points needed depends on the program. Sucks how they give you four tries, & they take an average, instead of just taking the highest score. I don't think that, that's okay. the application is free, so that's a plus. I believe they said you have to get accepted & then they can talk about fafsa. The process should be more lenient. the staff was pretty nice. I don't know what anyone here is talking about? Your not promised a job after graduation, but they do help you prepare for a interview. People forget that.

Worst. Decision. Ever. - A Never-Ending Nightmare at Clare County Adult Education…read moreThe Unseen Truth Behind Clare County Adult Education: A Look Behind the Curtain If I could give Clare County Adult Education zero stars, I absolutely would. This place is an absolute black hole for your time, effort, and any hope of actually graduating. I've been trapped in their endless cycle for years, and it's nothing short of a scam. They lure you in with promises of getting your diploma, but then it's class after class after class, with no end in sight. They kept telling me my credits weren't "graded" or "counted," even after I spent countless hours in their classrooms. Then, suddenly, "Oh, these are different classes now, you have to take these. Are we changed our counselors, or your teacher retired and did not grade your classes. Or these glasse they don't want us to teach in school so they were not graded. " It feels like a deliberate strategy to keep you paying and stuck in their system indefinitely. The teachers? Forget about it. They are completely irresponsible and frankly, careless. It's like they're just phoning it in, with no genuine concern for whether students are actually learning or progressing. There's zero personalized attention or even basic guidance. You're just a number, another body filling a seat. I've been going there for what feels like a lifetime, and for some reason, they even mentioned some connection to a campus in Las Vegas? What does that even have to do with my inability to graduate here in Clare County? It's just another confusing, unhelpful detail in this whole frustrating ordeal. Do yourself a massive favor and run, don't walk, away from Clare County Adult Education. They are not there to help you graduate; they are there to keep you in a perpetual state of "almost." Save your money, save your time, and find a place that actually cares about its students' success. It's disheartening when an institution designed to uplift and educate seems to operate with a hidden agenda. My experience at Clare County Adult Education feels less like a path to graduation and more like a carefully orchestrated performance, designed to keep students enrolled indefinitely rather than guiding them to success. From the outside, they present a picture of opportunity and support. But behind the scenes, it's a different story. The credit system seems deliberately opaque, with explanations shifting and previously earned hours mysteriously not counting. It creates a constant state of uncertainty, leading to more and more classes without a clear progression toward a diploma. This isn't just about individual teachers being "careless"; it feels like a systemic issue, designed to keep students in a perpetual cycle of enrollment. It's almost as if there's a strategic disarray in how courses are managed and how student progress is tracked. The constant introduction of "new" required classes, after years of dedicated effort, raises serious questions about the school's true commitment to its students' timely completion. When you're consistently told your efforts haven't been "graded" or "counted" after putting in the work, it speaks to a deeper, more troubling issue than simple oversight. This lack of transparency and apparent strategic ambiguity makes me wish someone could truly see what's happening behind the scenes at Clare County Adult Education. It's a disservice to every student who walks through their doors with genuine aspirations for a brighter future.

This review is on the 3.5 Acre Garden:…read more  My name is Daniel S and pertaining to this review the "S" stands for Sharing a secret. My secret is that immediately off Interstate 215 and the northeast corner of Windmill Lane and Maryland Parkway is a picturesque public garden. It is a 3.5 acre Demonstration Garden where over 1,000 species of native and non native plants come to life in the shadow of the Interstate 215 barrier wall. It is a secret garden that features a red colored quarter mile walking trail with six fitness machines every 100 feet. It is a thriving garden that includes a Butterfly Pavilion with picnic tables, children's garden, orchard garden with trees bearing fruit, meditation garden, vegetable garden, rose garden, and hundreds of colorful plants.   Before I lead into my first-hand experience here, it is important for me to mention a few things about the business listing which is the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension. According to its website it is an outreach arm of the University that is funded by the county, state, and federal dollars that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge from the University of Nevada to the residents of Southern Nevada. Amungst the numerous things they provide are non-degree programs in certain specialties. They have numerous buildings throughout the Silver State. This very location has a major emphasis on gardening. The campus is relatively small with two buildings. From the road, the two buildings conceal the secret garden at the north.   Sometimes the best sources of secrets are a  hiking trail. Throughout the many times that I passed by here on I-215, Windmill Lane, and Maryland Parkway; I was unaware this serene spot existed. All it took for me was one hike along the I-215 Eastern Beltway Trail to discover it. From the moment that I set eyes on it while walking along its eastern border on the I-215 Eastern Beltway Trail on that rainy January afternoon, I was determined to check this out in the near future. That near future was yesterday on March 27, 2019 in the beginning of Spring.   It was a breeze arriving here. Access to the campus and gardens is off Maryland Parkway/Paradise Road. It is the first driveway immediately north of Windmill Lane. On a Wednesday afternoon parking was plentiful in both parking lots. So were the plants.   As soon as I entered the fenced in garden, I was surrounded by a spectrum of plants and colorful walkways. Although I arrived days before the peak of the spring bloom, the gardens were charming and captivating. With the descriptive plaques proving the names and species of the nearby plants and trees this was also a unique learning experience. The gardens exposed me to plants that I never heard of like the Texas Mountain Laurel. Each turn along the walkway filled my senses. And my camera lenses.! It was fun photographing a Texas Mountain Laurel under a distant snowcapped Mount Charleston or under an I-215 Exit sign. Throughout the garden were shaded areas including a bench beneath a mature African Sumac tree. And throughout the garden were blooming plants including the Desert Green Cassia and July Elberta Peach. A natural wash bordered by a rainbow of plants weaved through the center of the property. Towering above the trees and plants was what looks like a wooden teepee. There is nothing like art to complement a garden.   For several minutes, I upped my serotonin level while reducing my blood pressure level. I didn't have to go in the meditation garden to cleanse my senses. Walking in the garden did the job.  Now that the secret is out, I highly recommend that if you are in the area to take a time out to escape the hustle and bustle to relax with nature in this garden. Now, lets keep this secret amungst ourselves. We want this to remain a serene spot. At any rate, I highly recommend checking out this garden spot in the spring when it is in the height of the bloom. If you really want to capture the ultimate Las Vegas garden experience I suggest combining it with the Ethel M Cactus Garden in Henderson.
