When did going to the movies require a bank loan? This is nation wide but in Lompoc, really? Glad they do have matinee discount times.

First time visiting this theater and it was a great experience overall. All aspects of the place…read morewere clean: the entrance, the kiosk area, the concessions area, bathrooms, and the theater we were in. Purchasing tickets were a breeze and the concessions worker was a big help with recommending seat options and snacks. The sound and video quality were great. The initial commercials before the previews varied in volume between each. Popcorn, drinks, and snacks were fresh and delicious. Booster seats were available for the little one to enjoy the movie. Manager on duty was active setting up display and helping guide foot traffic. All staff overall were professional and courteous. Parking is plentiful due to multiple parking areas around the mall. Outside Macy's parking area may get crowded but has many disabled parking spots if needed.

One person at the front, one person behind the counter at concessions, and I promise you I only saw one other person walking around with a broom. Got to the theater at 3:40 and didn't get to my seat until 4:10 for a movie with a showtime of 3:50. Luckily, I came in time for 2 trailers. Overall, decent, but it's not like you have many options in the central coast.

Then waited until 8:30 for the movie to start. It started right on time. Some people drove in at 8:25 to find spots which was annoying because they didn't turn their lights off and they took extremely long to park. But besides the smell of car exhaust here and there, it was fantastic. The radio worked exceptionally well at making the experience feel like we were at a movie theater. Bathrooms were super clean with adequate soap. Snack bar attendants were very friendly 100% recommend and would come back again

I have always loved the Sunset Drive-In, but a deeply frustrating interaction with one of the…read more"grandchild" employees on a recent visit has left me incredibly disappointed. I brought my 4-year-old son to see Toy Story 5. While carrying him from the concession stand, he accidentally dropped his hot dog bun onto the ground before we could even make it back to our car. When I went back inside to request a replacement bun, an employee nepotistic "grandchild" named Brian informed me that I would be charged for it again. When I questioned being charged for just a bun under the circumstances, Brian became visibly hostile. He complained that he "did not like that I expected it for free." He then stated he would issue a refund instead, explicitly saying he was doing so because he "didn't like that I expected something." This logic made absolutely no sense. I pointed out how counterproductive it was to issue a full refund just so I could immediately repurchase the item, especially while my son was crying in the car waiting for his food. Brian forced the refund through anyway and made me repurchase the item. To make matters worse, when I asked for the name of his grandfather "manager"so I could report the incident, Brian flatly refused to give it to me. This is why, sometimes family isn't the best way forward when filling critical roles within companies, especially the customer facing ones.

The food prices are up there, but that's the theater. The ticket prices are normal. We were able to buy ahead of time online. They have an option to self purchase inside, or go to the box office. I felt comfortable with the cleanliness inside the theater and throughout the building. The seats weren't anything special but I was comfortable the entire movie. My fiancé wishes they had a Dolby theater for better sound quality. Overall, it made for a great Friday date night experience for us and many many other people flooding in.

We were seated in the furthest back row, directly near the projection window, which was open during the movie. I'm not sure if that's standard, but throughout the film there was a constant noise coming from inside the projection room. It sounded like someone had a sports game or something similar playing on a speaker. Because we were sitting so close to the projection room, we could hear it throughout the movie and it was extremely distracting. It definitely took away from the experience, especially when you're paying to enjoy a movie in a theater where you expect the auditorium to be quiet aside from the film itself. I'm hoping this can be looked into so it doesn't happen during future showings.
