Its not fair to any child to go through what my son went during this year at this studio. Looking at him scared backstage and unable to move ( fear of new places- never had nor dress rehearsal nor run through/ mark up in there)!) in a costume ( black train suit) 3 times bigger his size - ordered by studio and charged. a fortune- absolutely broke my heart. The teachers didn't bother to try to call me or make him feel comfortable-leaving him backstage- " the show must go on " Lesson 1 that I learned: more research before commitment Lesson 2: Owners of the studio might lie( never happened to me before this one but alas)

The instructors all care so much about the kids and in teaching them dance and instilling a love for it. They have an amazing dance team and also provide recreational classes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it became clear to me how much they they are willing to go above the beyond. They provided the kids with online zoom dance classes, challenges, spirit days, socially distant one on one dance pictures in the park, and even planned a virtual recital! This time has been so tough on kids and I really value all they have done to provide some normalcy for the kids. Normally parents are not in the room during class (there are monthly watch weeks on the studios TVs), but with classes over zoom I have gotten to watch more of the class and can also speak to what a good job they do with the insurrection and keeping the kids engaged while having fun. I found out that trying to fit work outs into my full time work out schedule was not an easy thing to do. I didn't have the motivation to go to the gym after work, so I bought a groupon for studio poise and signed up for some classes (if I didn't go, I would just be wasting my own money). Two and a half years later, I'm an unlimited member, attending multiple classes a week (sometimes even multiple in one day). Here is why I love this place SO much: 1. The people: Danielle, the owner, and all her instructors are amazing. Not only do they give a killer workout, they care genuinely about all of the clients coming through the door. After attending only a few classes, they will know you by name. Not only are the instructors amazing, the other women that attend SP are amazing as well. My sister also attends a lot of classes with me, and we have made so many friends (of all ages) here. 2. The classes: First of all, there are SO many different classes, which I love. There is truly something for everyone - from mat classes, to barre, to kickboxing, zumba, and HIIT classes (with new classes being created an added), you'll never get bored. I take a different class every day. Each class is difficult in its own way, and you'll definitely feel like you've got your butt kicked (in a good way). The instructors always offer modifications throughout the class so hat you can adapt to your own fitness level. 3. The price point: When I was first looking around at studios, I couldn't find a better deal than Studio Poise. They the least expensive studio in the area, and you get SO much for your money. The unlimited membership is $150 per month (but you'll get $10 off if you attend 15 classes a month), and you can attend as many classes a month as you want. So if you're attending upwards of 30 classes a month (which is usually how many classes women with this membership take), that's only $5 per class. It's truly a steal. Studio Poise is my happy place, and you should definitely try it out if you live on the north shore!

We have been going to Kadanse for a year. Kelley and Fitz…read moreare excellent instructors. They both make the students feel very welcome. On Mondays there are two lessons back to back. One is a beginner lesson and the second lesson is for intermediate students. On Wednesdays there is a salsa lesson. Once a month there is a party where you get to try out the routines learned during the months. Dancers show up to the party that have been dancing at the studio for a long time. It is an environment where you see familiar faces. Highly recommend this studio for ballroom dancing and salsa.

My 5 year old daughter went here for ballet/tap combo class. She attended for a year and a half…read more The instructors are good, they teach well. But my daughter actually decided to quit in the middle of her second year because she got bored and wanted to try something else. She now wants to start again, but I will NOT be sending her back to CSDS. The recital is great. Very entertaining. But they're business practices need some work. First off all, the recital tickets are bought on a first come first serve basis. They appoint a time and everyone has to go to the studio at that time and only that time. I had to actually work on the day and time that they had specified, so I asked if I could drop off a check at an earlier time. The director said no, that it wouldn't be fair. So I had to send my mother to the studio for me at the alloted time at 2pm. I came to find out that there was a class in the morning on the same day and that the parents had already bought their tickets that morning and all the good seating was already gone. Is that fair? She says no to me but says yes to others! I don't care if it's only a couple of hours before the allotted time, it's still ahead of time! Secondly, I spent $30 on a dvd of the recital that skipped. I couldn't even watch my daughter's dance. I was told I could get a replacement. I never got it, after muliple emails and speaking to the instructor. Lastly, my daughter's costume was paid in full ($60) before she decided to quit last year. I was told I could pick up her costume when they came in. I called them multiple times to find out if the costume was in. I never spoke to any one. I left messages and got no return phone call. So in the end they took $90 (dvd and costume) and I have nothing to show for it. Not even a phone call. This studio has dance teams that compete, and if you're not on the dance team, they really don't care about you. Their customer service skills are the worst. We'll be going back to Chery's School of Dance in Melrose!
