Deposited an investment dividend check into my account from a well known financial advisory company. At first, funds would be available in 2 days, then it was 5 days, next it went to 10 days. "it could take up to 21 days. SURPRISE! Notices came in snail mail USPS. All they kept saying was "we are not sure your financial institution will pay out the funds." The financial institution had already confirmed to me that the funds were paid out in one day. PNC has a policy that they cannot contact the financial institutions to verify the funds. SURPRISE! I had to perform a three way call after nearly two weeks of waiting on my money to be released. All the while I spent 40 minutes on the phone each of the four times trying to get my own money released. They are not customer friendly. Also, some branches are "cashless" so SURPRISE! You have to use the ATM...if it's working properly. Stay away from them unless you like money surprises. Oh, but we want to extend an increase to your credit limits. No more surprises for me thank you!

I needed a cash advance on a credit card. Something I don't like to do, but I needed to get cash for a purchase. I'm in Arden and I googled bank banks and home trust came up on my way home. When I came in, there were 2 tellers, one was helping someone through the drive-through and the other teller was at her counter. I asked if she could do a cash advance. She said yes, and then she called her manager and asked how to do it. After she charged my card and handed my receipt, she told me that she had to give me a check, not cash because I don't have an account there. I went from nice to being very upset. And yes, I became an angry customer. I asked why she processed the cash advance if she couldn't give me cash. Then she explained that she could write me a check that they would then cash and then I would get my cash to leave the bank. Her manager wasn't in the bank, but she showed up during this transaction period and tried to help her through it. During this time, another manager came over. So now I've got 3 people trying to create a check that they were then going to have me sign over to cash. Talk about ridiculous. If I wanted a local bank, I would definitely not get an account at this bank. It shouldn't take 3 people, one teller and 2 managers, to process this cash advance. Or they simply could've told me when I came in the door 'no we can't take care of this.'

When you call back and get an actual person, they have an attitude and are not helpful at all. I would steer clear of this credit union. They are way behind with their banking technology. Definitely not worth the hassle they give you for trying to be a good client and make their payments on time. Also, their app does not work either. You're not able to make a loan payment from an outside bank account. They are just way behind with their technology, and their staff are rude.
