We liked it very much, and…read morehere are a few of the reasons why: 1) Their sprung wood floor is wonderful for dancing -- easy on the feet and back. 2) The people -- teachers and dancers --are very nice and friendly. 3) The dance numbers are very short -- about 1 1/2 minutes apiece. Why is this good? For dancers from lower altitudes, the exertions of fast dances can be leave you winded in a hurry. Shorter times mean you have more energy for more dances. 4) Dancers were warned when upcoming dances were "advanced" (quickstep, Viennese waltz, etc.). This caveat meant that only experienced dancers were on the floor for those numbers. I have been to studios where the DJs would say "Viennese waltz is just like a regular waltz. Just go faster!" -- bad advice. We went to Dance Station USA on a Thursday evening, 7:30-9:00. The 9:00 closing may see a bit on the early side; but for us, it meant plenty of time to enjoy a late dinner.

Head coach and owner, Lorenzo expertly coached on form. Coach Adria's energy and expertise brings magic to the morning. Coach Nick does a great job guiding you through the workout. New to cross fit I needed options which they always provided. There's a sense of community here that makes you want to stay. They have a special membership with no commitment for travelers and I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. The gym itself is clean, modern, bright and has a great energy. It features top of the line equipment and includes everything that you can possibly think of (rowers, ellipticals, treadmills, stair stepper, TRX bands, etc.). On top of the gym equipment, the membership includes access to red light therapy & Normatec compression for full body. For an additional cost, you can enjoy the sauna and cold plunge located in a separate locked room. The owner, Douglas, is so kind and welcoming. The other trainers are the same. If you have the opportunity, purchasing a training session(s) with any of them would be a great investment. You could tell each of their clients truly enjoyed them and they were consistently busy. With that, even with 3-4 trainers seeing clients, there was plenty of room for other members to workout. The gym itself has three separate workout areas and plenty of machines / equipment to be shared. If we lived in Santa Fe this would be the gym that I would join without question. Everyone was friendly when I started, and while no one really showed me around, I managed to figure things out on my own. However, after about two weeks, I realized the schedule just didn't work for me. Every time I was able to come in, it was extremely crowded, making it nearly impossible to actually use any equipment. On top of that, a noticeable amount of the equipment was broken, which made the experience even more frustrating. Because of this, I canceled after the first month. Unfortunately, I recently discovered--ten months later--that I've still been getting charged. I'll take responsibility for not keeping the cancellation paperwork, but when I reached out and asked for at least the most recent charge to be refunded (since it just went through yesterday), I was told they have a strict no-refund policy. That response says a lot about how this place is run. Situations like this should be handled with more understanding and fairness, especially given how much money matters to people right now. Continuing to charge someone after they've canceled--and refusing to correct it--feels incredibly wrong. Management seriously needs to reevaluate how they handle these issues. This experience has been disappointing from start to finish. I won't be coming back.
