I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Morris and his team. I've gone through wisdom…read moretooth removal, double jaw surgery, and hardware removal with him in the last couple of years and couldn't have picked a better surgeon. I put off getting my wisdom teeth removed for nearly a decade because every surgeon I saw told me I would be left with permanent nerve damage based on the positioning of my teeth. Dr. Morris got my wisdom teeth out with no lasting impact. I had a terrible experience with another surgeon preparing me for major orthognathic surgery (double jaw surgery). Dr. Morris took over and made sure I was informed every step of the way. He stayed with me through my recovery, often accommodating last minute appointments on a weekly basis. He even showed up to the hospital to check on me on a weekend when I was readmitted after my surgery (at no fault of his own- I'm immune compromised and had some persistent infection issues). The whole process was easy to navigate, including appointments, dealing with insurance, etc.. His team is awesome, and they always made me feel at home in the office. I truly felt like everyone there was celebrating my progress each week I came in during my recovery. I see some of these other reviews complaining about his bedside manner. If you want someone to coddle you and sugarcoat things, he's probably not your guy. If you want someone to actually support you, show you genuine respect, give you real medical advice, and deliver perfect surgical outcomes, you've found the right place. The medical procedures he did for me have changed my life, and I'm so glad I trusted him. Dr. Morris is the best of the best.

I made it very clear I was unsure if I was moving forward with my dental implant, since I was having a knee replacement later in the year. I was given a price of $615.00 as my total payment. I was assured everything was covered, regardless if I had my implant or not. Payment was made the day I had the teeth extracted. In August, I received another statement stating that I still owed $83.00, to which I paid right away. Fast forward 10 months, and I receive ANOTHER bill from OFSI for $674.00 stating that there was a "miscommunication" with my insurance company regarding me not getting the implant. 10 months later...when I went to appeal I was denied twice because I was past my 180 day window to appeal. When I questioned why it took 10 months no one could give me an answer. The office staff that I spoke with was not professional and not helpful. I was very frustrated that no one in the office was honest with me letting me know that the bone graft would only be covered IF I went ahead with the dental implant. This office lacks communication and transparency. Plus..I was not happy about the procedure, strapping my hands down in the chair and giving me ZERO post surgical information. I only gave them 1 star because I had too.. ZERO STARS...

To make matters worse, someone was screaming/moaning from the office for almost the entire time I waited. If it is was my office, I would have at least acknowledged that it was happening to those in the waiting room. When it was finally my turn to see the doctor, he wasn't friendly, never smiled and just acted like I was almost wasting his time. The whole visit with him lasted about 5 minutes. When I went to check out, I waited for the assistant for a good 5 minutes and then I told them to just call me so I could check out. They didn't call for several days. So, needless to say, I left and immediately looked for someone different.

I was seen for a consultation to extract a wisdom tooth on 2/13. I thought I would just be writing about how rude the woman who scheduled me on the phone was, or the woman at the front desk's attitude. But first I think it's important that patients know how I was treated by Dr. Tentindo. I have gotten a lot of dental work in my life before, but I've moved around a bit, and I was eager to try a new office that recommended Dr. Tentindo as a surgeon. I was disappointed to find that Dr. Tentindo was a typical archetype- impersonal and disinterested. I'm sure he knows how to do dental surgery, but for me, bedside manners are important. He did not make eye contact with me, did not shake my hand or call me by my name. He recited and did not explain. It is rude and incredibly difficult to work with- I felt like there was no room to ask questions in the moment. Already being nervous about a surgery, the atmosphere he created did not help. What's worse is that it seems like he KNOWS this behavior is disingenuous, but doesn't seem to care. It makes me wonder why he is in a patient-facing position. That standoffish attitude is troubling to say the least. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I will not be scheduling to have my wisdom tooth removed by him. There's no way I could trust someone like that to put me under and work on my mouth. If he discarded me like that at the consultation, I can't imagine how he would behave during surgery. I want others to take caution and learn from my mistake. Please do not consider this office for your surgical needs. Hopefully he will take action in the future regarding the lack of interest in his patients and amend his distant and cold personality. But for now, trust me. Unfortunately, there's more to my experience. Upon scheduling my appointment, I was treated unkindly. The scheduler was rude when I stated that I didn't have insurance. She said "well then you need to have payment at the appointment," which sort of implies she figured that I would not have it. It is inconsiderate to the health insurance crisis at large, and insinuates a false trope that those without insurance are low class citizens not deserving of treatment. I also was confused because I called to be scheduled at the Mercy location and was scheduled for the Chesterfield location without any reason or clarification. I'm sure Mercy was booked, but being transparent with patients goes a long way. Perhaps this isn't protocol for this office, but I also was never notified about my upcoming appointment. I didn't receive any type of confirmation call or email. I called the morning of to double check my appointment, because I feared it hadn't actually been scheduled. I'm used to constant communication with any medical events in my life, so it really threw me off. It all made sense when I met the woman at the front desk. She was being rude to an elderly woman in front of me. The woman's prescription wasn't ready, and the woman at the desk was going off on her about how it wasn't their fault. The older woman was being gentle, obviously trying to diffuse the situation. I know how long prescriptions can take, so I didn't think too much into the situation other than noting how rude the receptionist was to the woman. BUT THEN, as I was leaving my appointment, I saw Dr. Tentindo on his cellphone, presumably with the pharmacy- he looked up and said, "I sent it two hours ago." With the rudest look on his face! How unprofessional can you be? Last but not least, when it was time to pay, I had to face the dreadful front desk lady. I tried to pay with a CareCredit Card, in my father's name, that he and I worked together to get specifically for the dental work. I have used this at other dental facilities with no issues. Honestly, the main issue wasn't even that the woman wouldn't let me use it, it was the way she was interacting with me that was uncalled for. I bit my tongue and we worked out a solution, but I am shocked at how subpar her costumer service skills are. In general, this office needs a serious internal audit--from the dentist, to the staff and it's overall affect on the atmosphere. I truly felt compelled to write this review because I think the office, specifically Dr. Tentindo, needs an honest opinion about the way they are treating their patients. Good luck to anyone who goes here, you'll need it.

I had surgery on 4 wisdom teeth cavitation sites with Dr. Moreland in April 2014. Unfortunately…read morethe whole left side of my face became infected - jawbone, sinuses, ears, and I was starting to lose my vision on the left side. I've spent about $15k trying to recover from the cavitation disaster at Dr. Moreland's office. I am so thankful that I am still alive, and want to share what I've learned so hopefully no one else makes the same mistakes I did. Pros: -Scheduling and billing are easy and well organized at this office. Cons: - This office does not use ozone. Never, ever have dental surgery without ozone!!! You are just asking for a nasty infection. - The helper forced my jaw open when I was numb and I heard a 'pop.' Dr. Moreland said 'Don't force it' but it was already too late. I had nasty Trismus and jaw pain. Trismus is very difficult to get rid of. - Dr. Moreland drains people's sinuses through their mouths. I've talked to two ENT doctors and one oral surgeon since my disaster with Dr. Moreland, and all of them agree that draining the sinuses through the mouth is a very bad idea. Bacteria, fungus, and mold in the mouth can then make their way to the sinuses. If the hole he makes doesn't heal, you will have to put a metal plate in the roof of your mouth to avoid chronic sinus problems. Thank God I didn't let him do this to me! - After surgery, when things weren't going well, I called Dr. Moreland's office every day. His assistants basically always said the same thing - this is normal and don't be a wimp. Moreland himself wouldn't talk to me until my sinuses ruptured and I demanded to talk to him. I asked if I could come back and he could open my infected side up again. He refused and told me to find someone locally to work with. - Dr. Moreland used a DRILL to drill up into my sinuses. Another oral surgeon later told me that you should never, ever use a drill in the sinus area. It felt like he was using a jackhammer, and I ended up with severe head trauma. I spent thousands at the oseopath and chiropractor trying to unravel all of the head trauma, headaches, and pain. Tips: - Cavitation surgery might be able to be prevented with ozone injections. Try those first!! In hindsight, I had 2 dentists, 1 MD and 1 oral surgeon all tell me that I probably didn't need the uppers done, they could've likely been resolved with ozone injections alone. - Do not do oral surgery with anyone who does not use ozone to help prevent infection. - Ask in advance if they force your mouth open during surgery. - If you do have cavitation surgery, find someone who will do ozone injections into each site after surgery. Reference [1] is a case from Dr. Moreland where even after surgery, there are still multiple cavitations. - Never let anyone drain your sinuses through your mouth. - Never let anyone drill into your sinuses. Period. - Try nasal ozone for sinus infections & ear infections - amazing! - Don't forget to support your immune system after dental procedures.
