I booked here way in advance for our early September trip, we were seated on the open air balcony with Newquay marina as the back drop. It seemed a little chilly to be seated outside at this time of year, but lo and behold they already thought it out with plastic covers at both sides of the balcony and heaters right at every dining tables. Not only did it create a cozy ambiance but made it warm and comfortable as well. We started our dinner with salt and pepper calamari to share with a glass of Rose and I then ordered Brown crab with salad and fries on the side, while my partner ordered grilled pollock. The dishes were undoubtedly fresh and came out in timely fashion. It is beauty about traveling, discovering new places and truly enjoying it. This experience was made even more awesome due to the hospitality and great customer service from the staff. A must try if you happen to be in Newquay!

I did however dislike the way (well lack of it), that they wrapped my meal for take away. I nearly lost my food crossing the road as they just put this on a plastic tray with a piece of paper underneath it. Prices are reasonable, but you'll need to buy knifes and forks if your not happy with wooden chip forks and condiments are extra. I think they may have beach side seating, but I didn't check this out so don't take my word for it.

Anyway, for 7 pounds you get a nice sized portion of crispy fish and chunky chips, a small salad, peas, buttered bread, tartare sauce, and a pot of tea! The shop must be owned by new people as they have terrible attitudes. For example, we ordered plain chicken burgers and was given spicy. When we informed the staff the manager came over to the table in a confrontational manner and ate the food as though he was going to call us liars.
