I'm sick and tired of this apartment and am writing this review after many attempts to fix an issue with the staff in this building. Let me start off by telling you how incompetent and rude these office staffs are. They're never in the office 90% of the time and when they're in, they don't take your requests seriously. Year after year, they raise the rent but the service and maintenance of these buildings have gone down the drain. The heat never works and we have attempted multiple times every year to get it fixed. Now we have a newborn infant kn the house and every time the temperature drops, the heat doesn't work. The internal temperature has fallen below state mandate and the staff doesn't care at all. We are using the portable heater and I'm stuck inside the room with her the entire day. I have called the office and complained and my husband had gone in person multiple times and it still hasn't been resolved. In addition, they shut off water all the time in the afternoon. We noticed that when we started to work from home. I'm extremely disgusted by this place and would not recommend this apartment to rent from. Save yourself your sanity and stay away from this place. The ladies working there Jessica and Priscilla are absolutely a waste of time and money. I don't understand why they're still there. read more

I've lived at Mountain View Gardens for one year with my husband and baby and couldn't be happier with our time spent here. We lived in #72- One bed/one bath with basement and washer/dryer unit. Upon moving in, the unit was squeaky clean, with floors and walls redone. We had nothing but positive experiences with this complex. Best thing about this place is how fast they attend to service calls. I only had three issues around the house (all very small) and the repair guys (all nice and hardworking) came within 20 min. and knew what they were doing. The leasing lady, Kasha is very nice and efficient at her job. She was very fast in processing our leasing contract and was very patient with our special needs (involving co-signing). I talked to a maintenance guy the day I looked at the apartment and asked him how the neighborhood is like on an average day and he said, it's quiet and no one bothers you. And that's exactly what life was like in the year that me and my family have lived here. The grounds are very well maintained and they clear out the roads fast during winter. Though the spaces in between the parking spaces can have left over snow that freezes into icesometimes so just exercise caution during winter. I was lucky to have had a neighbor upstairs that wasn't home often and when he was didn't make so much noise. But when he was home, you could hear him walking around though conversations do not carry through walls. other pros: 2 min walk to Rite Aid, Barnes & Noble (cafe serves Starbucks, pastries, hot food) neighbors are very nice neighbors working people located right next to route 22 where you will find everything (target, walmart, all kinds of food) 2 min drive to echo lake park next to main freeways unlimited things to throw in dumpster upon move out you can dump old furniture recycling available nice furnished basement centralized air conditioning efficient heating and cooling = low utility costs efficient water heating during winter con: a few insects in the basement during summer read more

This place is filthy! Don't come here! The management is rude and super lazy. There are mice in my apartment and all they did was give me mouse traps. They also do random maintenance and never tell you what's going on so you might wake up one morning and not have running water all afternoon. read more

Friendly and safe community to live in New Jersey. I have been here since 2016. Both the office and maintenance staff is very friendly and punctual. Specially Kasia in the office and Migual in the maintenance. They both are very accommodative of maintenance requests. Most of our work orders were done either on the same day or the following day. I never really have to chase the maintenance or office staff for any work request. Really appreciate the help and support from the office and maintenance staff. Thank You. read more

Be careful of bait and switch! I called Jessica on Thursday and was very specific about my needs and wants. She responded with they have one unit available that matches my needs and she quoted a price to me (which is also confirmed in an email to me). Great...I scheduled my viewing for today Saturday. Well let's just say I am beyond mad! The unit was nothing that I asked for and Jessica said it would include ( No in unit laundry, no den, no dining room) The unit isn't even in the complex listed online. I was told they do have a unit that matches my needs but it was almost $300 more per month! Classic bait and switch! I was so mad I didn't even go to see the other unit. They could offer me free rent for a year and I would not do business with them ever! It was a waste of time. Do not let the pictures online fool you, the pictures showed online are not for the unit I saw. It was so unkempt and run down its not worth the price at all! I feel bad for the lady who showed me the unit...I was clearly upset about this but It was not her fault. She was nice and professional...the only plesant part about this mess! read more

Terrible place to live. I lived in one of their "updated" 1 bedroom apartments from 2017-2018. Within the first week of being there (before my belongings were even brought in) I noticed there were roaches in the apartment (i should also mentioned that when i got my keys and first went to the apartment it was not clean and in had to wait 3 days until they cleaned it before move in). I had to have an exterminator come in multiple times during my time there but really it's only a temporizing measure no matter how clean i kept my apartment if they're not exterminating entire buildings/the apartments above or below. Also they called this updated and "luxury" but there is nothing luxurious about these apartments. The remodeling they advertise basically consisted of changing the cabinets in the kitchen, a new budget stove, and tile flooring in the bathroom. The linoleum was peeling in the kitchen the wood floors had holes in them around the radiators. Not worth the price at all. Couldn't wait to move out. When i moved in they gave me the wrong key to my mailbox then couldn't find the right one (they didn't even know which mailbox was mine--just told me to try all of the ones nearby until one worked) so i had to go to the post office to buy a new one. Only plus is free parking, staff is usually nice (although whenever I had maintenance come to do work in my apartment they would use my stuff instead of bringing their own supplies). My Husband and I had some terrible experiences during our 2 full years in Mountain View Gardens. From leaks in our basement (due to the gutters being clogged and running water directly into our basement window), to toilet water coming through our ceiling lights and down the seams of the walls from the neighbors upstairs overflowing their toilet, to the constant hassle of ants in our kitchen. We loved the space that our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with basement and washer/dryer unit provided us. However, we paid a lot of money for it and even more headache. Management was appropriate at times, but the last straw was when we finally had enough headache and decided to move out. After scrubbing every inch of the apartment, emptying out everything and cleaning the floors and vacuuming, to the place appearing just as it did before we moved in, we then were notified about Management taking money from our Security Deposit for "mold in the basement". Any stains that remained in the basement were due to the leak that had accumulated inches of water in our basement and it not properly being handled correctly by Management and Maintenance. We paid our monthly rent on time every single month that we lived there and never gave Management any problems about all of the issues that we encountered in our apartment. We never asked for any money to compensate the loss of items that all of the water damage caused us. We were truly disappointed in our experience in the Springfield, Mountain View Gardens apartment. read more
