This place is extremely dishonest. During every visit there is constant upselling and pressure for additional services. Despite never having a cavity in my life, I was repeatedly told my habits must be poor and pushed toward unnecessary treatments. They recommended fluoride treatments and even a cancer screening without clearly explaining why they were medically necessary. The most frustrating part was being told I could get a third cleaning through insurance if they used a periodontal code. I was assured they checked with my insurance and that it would be covered. Of course, it wasn't covered. When the bill came, the response was essentially that they "can't control what the insurance company decides," even though they previously claimed to verify coverage. The entire experience is designed to push additional procedures and generate extra charges. After being misled about insurance coverage, I won't be returning. read more

This practice is professional and caring and clean and during each visit I felt valued and significant as a patient. Each member of staff from Anna on the computer to Doctor Nack and Tenchi exhibit compassion and empathy for the the pain I was suffering and worked with speed and tender care to alleviate my physical and emotional pain. The whole staff puts you at ease right away when you walk in the door. They were able to do images that other dentists can't. Disappointed by Dishonesty and Poor Communication I've been seeing the same dental hygienist for over 20 years and followed her to this practice many years ago. I now travel over 20 miles just to come to this office because I value the relationship and trust I've built over time. For my most recent visit, I specifically requested to be scheduled with my usual hygienist -- as I always do -- and was told that I would be. But when I arrived, I was surprised to be assigned to someone else with no advance notice. I was then given conflicting explanations about why the change was made. To make matters worse, I was also forced to see a different dentist than the one I normally see -- again, with no explanation. After years of loyalty and effort to remain with this office, I expected honesty and better communication. Instead, I left feeling misled, disrespected, and disappointed. I'm now seriously reconsidering whether this practice is worth continuing with. read more

Dr Ellis is the best She took care of both my girls and soon to be 3rd daughter who I'm pretty sure will also need braces here soon. Great experience with Mercado Dental from the second I walked through the door. Thorough dental examination (top of the line equipment and technology) while answering questions the entire time. The best dental hygienist (Annie) that has worked on my teeth (I'm 55 so I've been to the dentist a few times - Lol). This place was great when Dr. Karren was there. The new dentists are good . The dental work they do is quick but is not long lasting. My problem is billing Im not going to lie about having perfect teeth because my mouth was in pretty bad shape. I had some work done and I always like to know the cost before I commit to any procedure. That way I can pay for it at the end of my visit. Well that being said I was quoted one thing and then about 2 months later I get a bill saying I owe another 300.00. I just had paid like 436.00 on that last visit. After seeing the bill I realized that they charged me for every single thing individually. Even charged me a 7.50 charge for covid supplies. Just for stepping foot in the office. They overcharge I work in healthcare and thats just ridiculous. Especially when there were so much free money given to businesses. When I contacted the office I spoke with Malinda and was told if I didn't pay the remaining balance they were going to send me to collections. So I agreed to make payments even though the amount was wrong. Who has time to argue nowadays. Mercados requirement for monthly payments is that I had to give them my Credit card number so they could charge me monthly. Well they charged me monthly for about 3 months and then they called me asking for my card number again. How does my card number just disappear? I was not going to give it again. They sent me to collections with a higher charge of what was owed. This place will overcharge you and bill you wrong.. Some of the work I had done still causes me a lot of pain even though there isn't a tooth there. It was a extraction but also charged me for a bone graft. read more

I went in for two fillings and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the front desk. The dentist came up to me personally, shook my hand and introduced himself to me. He walked me back to the room and introduced me to the assistant. They were very welcoming. He is a very personable doctor and talked to me throughout the procedure to make sure I was okay. The receptionists are very sweet and personable as well. I highly recommend this office. read more

I must start at the beginning. When I phoned to make my appointment, the gal was SO sweet, professional, and efficient. I had an appointment within DAYS. Plus, I was a NEW patient! The office accommodated my date and time. I arrived fifteen minutes early in order to complete new patient paperwork. I was immediately taken to a private office and greeted by a caring, kind and professional hygienist. She performed an exam and x-rays without pain or a hitch. My (new) dentist came in, gave me a thorough examination and proceeded to develop plan to help me achieve my dental work goals, in spite of my health challenges.
