I've been with Mountain View Orthodontics since I believe 2012. I started off with the old school Invisaligns under Dr. Alpan & Dr. Guirguis finished off the last liners. I unfortunately fell off treatment when school & residency got in the way. That means my teeth started shifting to the way they used to be. Years later, wanted to try Invisalign again. I signed another contract & went into a monthly payment. So much has changed in the office! For the better. The technology has really advanced. No more silly putty molding for the mouth. They have scanners for your teeth now. It makes it so much less messy & more efficient. The liners came with a fancier case & even a QR Code for an app to help you track how long you've been wearing your liners for. Dr. G is awesome & wants to do things right. One to two teeth are not perfect & hasn't lined up with my aligners. He ended up scanning my teeth again to make a new set of aligners to correct them. Making appointments is a breeze. They send you email notifications & can easily place those reminders on your phone calendar. Everyone is so kind & addresses you by your name. They will hold things like catching Covid against you if you have to cancel your appointment even though they would also refuse to see you if you have Covid. They hold you responsible for having caught it and are willing to refuse future care for you over it. read more

I was having an insanely difficult time with my current ortho (NOT with Mountain View). My daughter's tooth expander came off one of her teeth last night (Thursday 7/14/2023), but was still attached to the other. This caused her an intense amount of pain, as well as preventing her from being able to eat.. I called our current orthodontist to secure an emergency appointment to fix or remove the expander, and I was informed that she could not be seen until Thursday 7/21/2022. Obviously, this was not okay as she cannot eat and is currently in pain. They were extremely dismissive and got off the phone advising the ortho supervisor would contact the orthodontist to seek clearance from him to fix or remove the expander. From there, I did not hear anything back for over an hour. Being a concerned parent, I started looking into other options and locations - Mountain View Orthodontics was the first to pop up, and I'm so thankful it did. I sent a message on the site asking if they could help my situation, and I was called by Janelle almost immediately. Due to the stress, I was highly emotional and broke down on the phone with her about what was going on. She took the time to listen to me and offer help. Though Mountain View could not directly help due to my current contract for ortho through Medicaid at my current location, Janelle went completely out of her way to contact the ortho I am using to see why this was not getting resolved. Within an hour of speaking with Janelle and her reaching out to my current ortho, they called me back advising they could see my daughter today to get her expander either repaired or replaced. I credit this fast turnaround entirely to Janelle, as they were completely fine having her wait a week before she called. I will absolutely be looking into relocating all of my orthodontic care to this location after this! I appreciate you and your staff so much! read more

Dr.G office is unethical and caused me injuries to my sinuses and soft tissue palate. I now have pain that radiates throughout my sinuses due to the unnecessary use of a MARPE device for a male patient between 30-35 years old. His medical biller Janell has patients electronically sign documents with an e signature capture pad and only she reads and paraphrase to you the documents you have to sign. You can't see the screen due to the position you are sitting at. I believe this was done purposefully. Come to find out she didn't read all the documents to me. When I requested my records so I can move to a new doctor because of the injuries I sustained at Dr. Guirguis office. I found my signature was electronically copied into documents I have never saw or that was never read to me by Janell. The documents waived my rights to a trial in any state court and forces patients into arbitration. Also even if a patient wins in arbitration the max they can recover is $5,000 for any injuries. I find this unethical and illegal to misuse my signature in this manner and how he would want to limit his liability and accountability to patients if he did in fact injure a patient. If you currently go to this office please check and get copies of your records and if you plan on going here demand to see every document in hard copy form before e signing anything. read more

Warm cookies! At an ortho office? I guess it makes sense because they give you a toothbrush to clean your teeth right after. I had braces as a young teenager, but like everyone I know, I never wore my retainers and my teeth moved. So here I am getting Invisalign as an adult. I've had about 6 appointments thus far and Dr. Guirguis and his team have been on time every time. They check me in, get me in the chair, take a look and I'm back on my way. Painless. They take my insurance and sounds like most others. My progress pics show my teeth are finally getting it together and moving in the right spot. I'm on tray 20 something out of 30 something, but I know every case is different. My friend is already done with her treatment and we started at the same time. The office is clean and comfortable. This place is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. After getting a basic checkup, I felt that I was in a place with people who knew what they were doing. Dr. Guiguris is a very knowledgeable and friendly orthodontist, able to answer all my questions. After almost 2 years I still stand by my beliefs because I have had very few issues with my braces. If I had a poking wire I could come in the next day to get it clipped. Also the other people working there seem to know their information, especially my most recent one, don't know her name, but she's blonde. This place is absolutely trash! David Alpan told me I would have my braces on for two years. After 3 years of going to every appointment, and one of those years paying 150 out of pocket for every appointment, I felt like this company is a lie and took me a run for my money. I stopped coming because I never heard of place that charges you past their treatment plan even after you payed 7000. It makes no sense. Ida was completely rude and yelled at us when we had questions. What kind of company does that? They were placing blame on me, but I paid the money yet still my teeth are not fixed! I told them I wanted to remove the braces and she said I'll have to pay 800 for them to do so. The entire conversation she kept telling me to be responsible, yet this company couldn't be responsible enough to keep their word by doing their best to fix my teeth in 2 years they promised. read more
