I enrolled my daughter at KinderCare Mountain View when she was 2 months old and they were fantastic with her. It was very difficult for me to leave her at such an early age, but Ms Ghadeer really went the extra mile to make sure that my daughter made the transition smoothly and it has made all the difference. Everyone at the center has been extremely helpful and pleasant. They were very accommodating to my daughter's special dietary needs and they have always been willing to chat with me at any time about her development or to let me know about some of the cute things she had done during the day! They also send lots of great pictures, which I have shared with my sisters through their app. I really feel like she has a "second family" at KinderCare! read more

I called and they told me they had a spot available and will hold it for me until I toured the facility. They did not tell me that I needed to tour right away and register in order to secure the spot. If I had known I could have toured this place the day I called in. So Ridiculous! But in the end, things happen for a reason. Most of these reviews are pretty scary anyways. I only looked into this facility because they had a partnership with Tesla. read more

I don't send my kids here but I took the tour today and was thoroughly unimpressed. They were doing story time in the toddler room which was just the kids sitting in a circle listening to a recording of someone reading while the teacher spaced out and looked hung over. Suddenly another teacher burst out of nowhere and barked "I'm going on break" to no one in particular. We went outside and the balls were super cracked and flat like they had been baking in the sun for weeks. Real fun for the kids. Then the teacher from earlier came back from her break I guess and started aggressively shouting the Mr. Rogers theme song. Not in a fun way to get the kids singing, she was just being a jerk. You don't have to love Mr. Rogers but kids do, so shut up with the sarcastic crap in front of them. I'm disgusted that I have to remember her the next time we watch Daniel Tiger. I don't want either of those two "teachers" watching my kids. read more

My child has been going here for less than 3 months and it has been nothing short of a living nightmare, and unfortunately it is the only place with infant availability within a 45mile radius. We are actually planning on moving from the Bay Area because this is such a bad situation. My baby is a very happy baby and has never had issues at daycares before. Every time I pick up my child, she is always crying in the corner by herself, always has a large amount of dried food on her face, and on more than 4 occasions has had someone else's pacifier in her mouth. The staff logs diaper changes, feedings, and naps that don't occur. (For example- it said she ate 3 solids but only two solids were gone, it said she had a dry diaper in the morning, but it was wet when I dropped her off. It said she woke up 30 mins prior to me picking her up, but she falls asleep 10 mins later) I was also told to "not worry about putting on the booties, no ones does" which may be another reason why my child is always sick. Out of all of these issues, the breaking point was when I picked up my child, who was hysterically crying by herself, with poop all over her clothes from a previous diaper change and poop in her diaper that resulted in the worst diaper rash I have ever seen. read more

Horrific experience! (from someone who never wrote a negative review in their life) Please research and proceed with caution -------------------------------------------------------- Please don't ignore the very poor ratings for this place, I did so when I enrolled my child and I regret it very much. Read all the other reviews and check other sites where the school is also very poorly rated. Do a Google search on their name and reviews. Please do your own extensive research and proceed with caution. Frivolous Reports to Police and Social Services: ---------------------------------------------------------------- My child is autistic and can be sometimes hard to control and prone to injury due to poor motor skills. When he injured himself, they called the police and children protective services to point out a bruise that they say did not occur "on their time". Ironically, when I asked him about it later, he said it happened on the playground. Of course I removed my child the next day. So end result: they don't have to deal with me anymore, they got rid of my difficult child, attempted to tarnish my reputation over some frivolous/fictitious child neglect reporting all the while using their "mandated reporter" status as a shield. Apparently I am not the only one this happened to. If you read on there is another reviewer who complained her child was not eating enough at school and they called children services claiming she was starving him! Are you willing to risk this happening to you? Licensing issues and lack of supervision ------------------------------------------------------- My general impression is that they seemed to be barely hanging on to their license and very desperate and almost paranoid about avoiding liabilities and wrongdoings. After all there had been several incidents. When my son attended the school, for instance: there had been an incident with children hiding alone in a bathroom and the staff not knowing where they were... This event caused many write up and meetings with the licensing department as well as the firing of several of the staff. They did however disclose it to the parents and gave us paperwork to sign. I did definitely notice when I visited that the staff was not very attentive on the playground. My son was constantly injured on the playground and bit many times while attending there. I was worried because children learn this behavior that is hard to correct and worried because of the several outbreaks of hoof and mouth that were posted on the school doors. Also I don't really think they all cared that much about the children just the easy money. One time I came to pick him up, he was crying hysterically in a dirty corner of the playground. The teacher was looking the other way. She got scared when she saw me and said he "wanted" to be left alone and cry. Disorganized management: ------------------------------------ The management also seems to be very disorganized. For instance it took the management over 2 months to realize they did not have my child's vaccination record. Not making sure you have vaccination reports is not acceptable for a school with almost daily biting and several outbreaks of hoof and mouth and other diseases. And I am not going to bore you with all the billing errors I caught. Children as liabilities: --------------------------------------- In general when I picked up my kid I didn't feel they really care for the child they just wanted me to sign the "incident report" describing the injury/bite so they can adhere to their protocols and not get written up by the licensing department. Also in the morning when I dropped off my son, they would sometimes inspect him and make me sign a report if he had a small scrape or a little bump. I called that the "he came that way" report. This was obviously because they were so paranoid about being blamed for anything. This also was also done in a very cold manner. It was as if they were rental car customers marking down scratches on the vehicle on their rental agreement to avoid being liable later. I got the feeling the staff was under a lot of pressure from management to aggressively document everything. Availability, availability, availability ---------------------------------------------- Ask yourself the obvious, why does this place always seem to have availability in an area of such high preschool demand? Is it because it's very expensive and very poorly rated? and not by just a couple of disgruntled people but by too many reviewers to ignore. They feed on people who don't know about online reviews or on trusting people like myself who had a real demand for childcare and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

New director is great but everything seems so chaotic lately. High staff turnover and they let of hands down my favorite teacher. It doesn't feel like too many teachers like my child either. Yea he's active but no one seems to get that h never had these issues with the teacher who was let go. Sigh I think it's time for us to go read more

The facility is in general great - big rooms, nice playground, lots of toys. The assistant director, Marguela Martinez, is just wonderful. But why only one star then? Because my 16-month son was kicked out of the center due to his biting... And this was not the first time when a kid was asked to leave this center... As my pediatrician said, "the change of day care is difficult and painful, but you don't want to be in a center where teachers cannot or don't want to deal with normal toddler's behavior." Another point - they lost my son's shoe... I came to pick him up one day and he had just one shoe and another one was lost and never found... And you know how expensive toddler's shoes are these days... Please tour and make your own decision. read more

My daughter started here she was only 4 months old in the infant class, she's now turning one and spent amazing 8 months: great teachers who really care and follow up with parents, they listen and adapt to any need of my child, great facilities ( I like the outdoor space I wish they would go more often) and activities, my baby loves it there and loves her teachers. She's just so excited the minute we pass the doors. She learned so much in a few months, teachers really follow the curriculum which is nice. I'm lucky we had a spot and look forward to the coming months as she will move to the next class. read more

We have had our son in the 2-3 years classroom for 6 months. We have had an awesome experience with this center. We are extremely happy with teacher David and Estella. They really love kids and are really excellent at caring and teaching kids. Before entering this classroom, my son didn't understand and speak any English word because we don't speak English at home. He was also very quite, didn't like strangers and didn't know how to play with other kids at all. After 6 months in this classroom, he grew so much! He learned a lot and also made several really close friends. He really loves going to school everyday now. Teacher David teaches morning yoga and the kids really love it. The teachers share photos and videos regularly and I am so surprised how happy my son is and how well he's playing with others now. Miss Brie (center director) is awesome as well. She knows every kid and organizes things so well. Another surprising fact was my son almost didn't get sick for the past 6 months. I believe this was closely related to the fact that the teachers created a very clean and safe environment for the kids. We feel so fortunate to be in this place and have teacher David and Stella! read more

The reason a month ago I didn't give my baby to this day care was because they charge as much as a rent or mortgage for a house. They charge I believe $1400 a month read more

My son used to go to the infant classroom in this center. The teachers are awesome. In particular, Ms Jocelyn is amazing. She is very kind and my son got attached to her in the first two weeks. The center director and the associate director are also the best. Kathryn and Whitney are so sweet and kind. They are both well educated and experienced and they are always helping the teachers in the infant room. I totally recommend this center for your infant child. One thing to note, do not always rely on yelp reviews. Go to the center and see by yourself. The yelp reviews for this center are not fair. If you really want to decide, make some time and visit the center. You will not regret it. read more

Our daughter loves this place. Mrs. Marquela and Mr. David, her teachers, have been great.

I just wanted to offer a quick review of KinderCare Mountain View as our child has been there for about two months now. I know there have been some mixed reviews here, but I can honestly say I haven't seen any of the kinds of negative things others have described. We've been very happy with the care our child has received. Ms. Angela, Ms. Ghadeer, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Jocelyn, and all the teachers and staff have been great. We also like that wider staff and many of the other parents have gotten to know our child as well. There's a community feeling we really appreciate. Thanks, KinderCare, for all your help! read more

Mountain View KinderCare is a fantastic place! Director Brie has transformed the facility into a top notch daycare where my daughter has learned so much, and is nurtured. She is also a pleasure to work with, works extremely hard, and makes this a fun place for parents too. Teachers Stella and David in the twos room are amazing! They are so caring and nurturing and take pride in their work. David has a great attitude and really loves working with kids. He makes my daughter feel so special. Stella is lovely, has a great disposition, and is so motherly. This is a great option for a play based daycare in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area! read more

Teacher David- my son's 2 year old class teacher- is really top notch. I can honestly say that his influence teaching my son to potty train was the reason it only took about a week. He is a wonderful, caring, kind, fun teacher and has so much energy! The kids literally flock to him and he has so much patience with each of them. He also helped many mornings when my son was feeling shy or wanted Mommy. He would look for his favorite toys, sing to him or ask him for his help so that goodbyes were much easier. Highly recommend him as an excellent teacher and caregiver. read more

We have been there for the last 1 year, and have had no complaints. The current director (initials = V.R.) is great, and so are all the teachers in all the rooms. The kids play outside in a safe area, eat well, and have fun... read more

I give Kindercare 4 stars because they were very friendly and thorough with my husband and I. We toured the facility back in September and my son has been going there for the last few weeks. So far they have been very good with my 4 year old son. They are a lot more expensive than some of the other facilities, but I think it is worth it. I especially like the playground that is in the back of the building. My son has so much energy, he needs a big playground to burn it all up. read more

My daughter attended Mountain View KinderCare from August 2020-June 2021 in the toddler classroom and it was the most amazing experience. We had to leave because I got a job in a different city but we still miss all of the staff and teachers greatly. They truly knew so much about my daughter and were genuinely interested in her growth from a social-emotional and developmental perspective. I always felt informed about her day and the teachers were so invested in her - nothing feels better for a Mom than knowing that your child is loved and cared for in a safe environment. All of the activities and structure in the day were so enriching for her and she absolutely thrived at KinderCare. We could really see a difference in her language abilities and in her gross motor skills. Additionally, Ms. Brie (the director) was so communicative and knew so much about all of the children. We miss you all, KinderCare Mountain View! read more

My 3 year old has been here from the past 8 months and this place has been great! Miss Brie (the director), teacher David, Stella and Miss Markela (after he turned 3) have taken great care of him. His transition into the day care was smooth and he loves going everyday and has fun with his friends. Now that the center also has an app where they send pictures of the kids (they did not have this before June 2019) we are even more reassured that our little one is indeed doing well. We love the fact that Miss Brie is aware of everything that is going on (it is hard to know how!) and we get meaningful updates about his day when we go to pick up. He has been a picky eater so we have asked for extra attention during meal times, and it has largely gone well. We recommend this place and hope your little one has a great experience here too! read more

My daughter is in 2s class under miss Suzy and Kristina. At first when she moved it was a rocky transition from toddler to twos but with change in management and teachers for 2s class it had been great to have her go this class. Both the teachers are great wth kids, very engaging, entertaining and seems to be enjoying the kids around them. This is very important as it shows they care for the kids. They receive kids with a smile and always have constructive and positive things to say about your kid which helps parents a lot. New director and assistant director has been doing a great job managing the center too. I would not hesitate putting my kid with these 2s teachers again. I hope they keep them around as long as possible :-) read more

After 15 months with a nanny, we finally decided to put our son in daycare and I couldn't be happier. The 3 month wait for him to start in the toddler room was well worthed. The credit mostly goes to the teachers in the toddler room. All of them pay good attention to the kids and are caring and put the new parents at ease. Before he started, our son was extremely shy and timid. Ms. Stefani was very kind and listened to all our concerns about our son and takes amazing care of him. We could not be happier with Ms. Stefani for being so patient and making sure that he continues to develop while feeling secure and enjoys his time at the day care. He no longer cries when it is time to go there and is hardly ready to leave in the evening. As all new parents know that first daycare experience is probably harder on the parents than on the kids. We were very fortunate that an excellent teacher like Ms. Stefani was assigned to our son. As for the center, it is clean and generally has a happy atmosphere. The food they provide is a bit sad and could definitely use some creativity. read more

Our son started at KinderCare when he was 4.5 months old and we only ever pulled him out because we had to move away. He had the best experience in the Infant room. Ms Jocelyn, Ghadeer, Angela and Michelle are great teachers, very loving and caring. My son was very attached to them -- he lit up when we got there in the morning and every time I dropped by he was happy and at ease. They always followed my instructions and I relied on their guidance and experience quite a bit too, him being my first kid. I felt very comfortable leaving him there full time while my husband and I worked. In 6 months we never had an upleasent experience and I would recommend this facility to any parent looking for infant care. read more

This was my son's first experience with daycare and preschool. He is in the 1-2 year old group and loves it! Kathryn Collins is the center director and she does an excellent job communicating with me. She is very knowledgable and kind. The teachers in my son's classroom are caring and have great preschool and childcare back grounds. I feel confident my son is being well taken care of when he is here. It is on the pricey side, but definately worth it! read more

My son attended Kindercare for 12 months, starting in the infant room and then transitioning into the toddler room, from 8am to noon every day. He loved it, and so did we -- we only left because we had to (we moved out of the area for job reasons). The staff at Kindercare in Mountain View is very professional and nurturing, and Kathryn (the director) is to be commended for running a tight ship. Every day is structured thoughtfully for the kids' personal growth and fun, the grounds are clean and safe, and the food is healthy and to the kids' liking. I especially appreciated that half-days were available. You child will be well cared for here! read more

We just moved to the Bay Area and have been with Kindercare Mountain View for 5 months and Miss. Emilie has been so caring with our 10 month old. My little daughter loves her. Miss. Emilie knows what my little daughters schedule is like. I am very PLEASED with Miss Emilie's work. This is for infants, i also have a 3 year old but there is a transition in my 3yr old class so I can't comment on that yet. Hopefully this helps with the infants. read more

The staff and teachers at the Mountain View KinderCare have been amazing! My son was at a previous preschool and was starting to get in trouble a lot. I realized that he was bored. I moved him to KinderCare in Mountain View and he began to thrive. They offer a good pre-K program. My son learned so much and we were given tools like flash cards to take home and practice. In addition to the everyday activities, we were able to enroll my son in extra classes during the day such as phonics and Spanish. In the last year we have built special relationships with all the staff taking care of my son but if you are wanting to get your child ready for kindergarten..... Miss Dede is the person you need. She made sure my son was on track with Math and English! Special shout out to Miss Tressa who also prepared My Son in Spanish to attend Mistral in the Fall. The staff and the teachers have become like family to us and are always available for anything we need. read more

Do not attempt! This has been the most horrible experiences I have had with a center. I made the mistake of signing up and after paying almost 300 dollars worth of fees I was made numerous promises regarding childcare. My child lasted 1 hour and I had to go back to find him sitting dirty in a corner. When I tried to do the proper checkout with staff I was ignored and ended up leaving with my child without anyone knowing. When I confronted Katie the supervisor about this she proceeded to tell me that I was being charged double! She insisted my child had been there an extra day he was not! Bad book keeping and bad supervision! I got ripped off bad! Stay away read more

Doesn't even deserve a star!!! I signed up my both children 4 and 5 years old to mountain view kinder care because of the location and some of the positive reviews. My 5 year old daughter was being bullied daily by her friends and this has turned going to the kinder care into a nightmare for her. It left her with deep emotional scars that last for life. I told her teacher about the issue and nothing done properly to resolved the problem. My daughter was totally unhappy, anxious and started to loss weight. She did not eat because her friends told her " We don't want you to eat with us" She did not have fun because her friends told her" we don't want you to play with us" and more and more!!! I know they are children ,but these can deeply hurt a child's feelings. KINDER CARE I AM NOT PAYING YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO MAKE MY CHILDREN UPSET OR DESTROY THEIR SELF-ESTEEM, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?". My little angel kept crying begging me not to send her to that center and when i did that, they charged us because we left the center without a previous notice. I wanted to stop the emotional damage they'd done to my daughters. Dropping off my 4 years old girl in the day care was a very difficult task. She always cried and followed me back and Ms. Wh. never helped me to sooth her down. I would wait for her previous awesome teachers ( Ms. Pearla or Ms. Yohana ) to help me out. Ms Wh. made my daughter to hate a day care she previously used to liked. Moreover, my duaghter always got several bruises and when i ask her teacher Ms. Wh. about them, she said " I DON'T KNOW"; actually she never knew whats going on. Teachers usually chat together instead of watching kids in the playground. I would stand in front of Ms Wh. for more than 10 minutes to talk to her about an issue and she would ignore me and never finish chatting with others. Ms. Wh. never showed love to my girl, but may be to other kids. It's breaking my heart, so i decided to stop sending her to this day care. This day care is horrible with a consistent high turnover , incorrect billing "over billed" and ambiguous new directer who doesn't explain things clearly from the beginning. I never ever felt comfortable with communicating with her. Finally i believe that i did the right thing by getting my children out of this hell place to the heaven. In the new day care center they found the love and passion they deserve. They are now so happy, confident and guess what, they want to stay in the center for ever ! I feel that the staff there are a second family to them. read more

When my daughter moved from the infant room to the toddler room, I didn't think it would be possible that we would like her toddler teacher as much as we liked her infant teacher. Happily, I was wrong! She continues to get the most loving care I could hope for. My daughter loves going to the toddler class. Her classroom is bright and the toys are fun. The "curriculum" is a great balance between structured activities and free play. They get to go outside and play frequently. Most days I get to see the fun crafts they are creating: creating collages, making footprints, scribbling on paper, a handprint "flower pot", etc.; little things for me to take home and cherish or to brighten up her classroom. She also gets nutritious meals and snacks there that I can feel pretty good about. Couldn't be happier with my decision to send her to Kindercare. It may not be the cheapest place, but this is a happy example of getting what you pay for. read more

We decided to take our child out of here afterall. His regular well loved teacher was sick last week one day, and my otherwise healthy, rash free child, came home with the nastiest rash I have ever witnessed on a baby's bum. His diaper area was not only swollen red, with some spots starting to bleed, he also had about half inch skin peeled away, that was red and about to bleed. I understand children get diaper rashes, my child has gotten it before, but never to the point that it starts to bleed. We apply rash cream geenrously and had even provided the center with a large jar of cream, but nothing was applied on this day on my child. As a parent, that was the last straw for us. To watch your child be in pain and wince and still smile and play around is more horrifying than anything we are willing to put up with. I have notified the center director who was equally mortified and promised to look into the matter more, I have some hope she will do the right thing, but meanwhile this will not be the center I will ever consider sending my child again. p.s The infant room B teacher Ms.Bianca is a gem and an absolute pleasure to work with. She treated my child with a lot of care, love and affection to the point of treating him like her own grandchild. My child thrived under her care and loved her a lot as well. But in her absence, the room and the children that were being cared for by her is a whole different story. p.p.s We transferred over from a different kindercare and I cannot believe how different two centers can be. The older kindercare had activities every.single.day even for infants. The teachers would note down in the daily sheet what was done that day. I think I have barely seen two activities that were done in this center over a period of 6 months. read more

I really think this center deserves a better rating overall, at least for the Pre-K program. My daughter just enrolled in the program and she likes it. I like it too - the facility is clean, safe and well-organized, the director is kind and knowledgable, her teacher is energetic and caring, the on-site kitchen is convenient. What else is there to expect? And love the 15 minutes grace period for late pickup. read more

This place has a terrible customer service. They also scream at the kids and they don't pay attention to them.

My son has been going to kindercare for the last few years. There have been so many changes with teachers and management in the last year that it's very hard to keep up. The ONLY reason why I left my child there was because of Ms. Marquela she is the pre- k teacher and honestly one of the most caring and wonderful teachers in that center!!. Her care is genuine and has a very warm demeanor. Ms. Marquela always treated my child and I with the upmost respect. I will truly miss seeing her every day. I really hope this center pays more attention of who they hire not only teachers but management as well. read more

Our son has been going to this Kindercare for over 3 years and we absolutely love it! We have another boy who will be starting later this year. I cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband and I are both physicians and so the long hours are awesome! The staff is excellent and although the old Director Katie McClaren will be missed, the new Director Vashti Rambo is awesome. She always deals with everything very promptly and professionally. The center is clean and the kids have tons to do. Our son does phonics and math in addition to Spanish and his teachers are incredible. We can write and is learning sight words. There is a feeling of family there and I have never worried that my son is not being taken care of. The other kids in the class are diverse and the parents are wonderful. We have had our daughter at KinderCare Mountain View for almost 2 years. We have had a really great experience in both the infant and toddler classrooms. We drop our daughter off and she is happy and we pick her up and she is still happy-sometimes she does not want to leave! The teachers are great-always talking to us about what she is doing in the classroom. We have seen her really come out of her shell in the toddler room as she was a pretty shy baby. We would highly recommend this daycare to our friends with children. As far as I know, they have a really long waitlist for a lot of the classrooms so that tells me a lot! read more

I even missed her warm greetings and nice activities. if we ask our son who loves you, he tells miss Marquela's name after mom and dad. We have had our son at Kindercare (Infant classroom) since September of 2011 and absolutely love it there. Katherine, the center Director is wonderful and has turned the center around 180 degrees. She truly cares about the children and appears to have a strong handle on the operations - everything is organized well and people seem to be noticing because the # of kids has grown steadily since she joined. Our son loves loves his teacher - Ms. Jocelyn, and is very happy to be there. My husband and I have walked in there are random times and find the teachers fully engaged with the children. Our son is extremely happy there and we intend to keep him there for as long as possible.
