Times have changed at Canyon Crossroads. I've been a loyal customer for about fifteen years or so…read more Now in 2026 I sense that greed outweighs service these days. I took my little puppy in for his first shots. He was seen and given an exam by a vet in the clinic. She was informative, caring and that exam and the shot cost about $75.00. He required a second round of shots three weeks later. Knowing that there would be an additional charges, we took the pup in and he was given and we were required to pay for a second exam. It hadn't been a month but the vet (an older guy) insisted that he would not give the shot without an exam. When questioned about the necessity of a second exam his effort to explain and convince us of the need, he asked, "Well do you want the shot or not?" This time we were charged $95.00. I took my puppy in for his first shots and an exam. Two exams and two rounds of injections later, no underlying or coincident conditions were found and now his first shots have cost me almost two hundred bucks and I'm committed to a third round of shots in three weeks. I would encourage everyone to understand exactly what charges will be before hand. But don't ask anyone there. They seem to get irritated and forget that it is within any customer's right to ask questions. Two hundred bucks for shots. Unbelievable.

I still don't know what he died from but felt like the vet did a thorough job at the time, though his condition changed unexpectedly the following day and didn't have what the diagnosed him with. It seems to have gone downhill. You're sent to a room and then they take your animal out of the…read moreroom for examination. The information you tell them seems to be skewed on the paper work. Always asking for money down. When your pet is staying the night for medical assistance, when they call for the well check, they ask for more money down or for what the current balance is. Always sends you emails to buy stuff from them. When I made the appointment and then I came in for my appointment, the technician seemed confused on what I was exactly doing there. she thought I was leaving my pet. I clarified that we need to find out what is wrong with him. I drive a long distance to bring my pets here cuz of the what used to be good care and decent prices. But now I'm second guessing my choice. I never write reviews good or bad, but that have crossed some lines with me at this point. And when it's a member of your Family, it tends to make you more emotional anyway. Im not sure I will bring any of my fur babies back. I definitely need a cooling off period.

A Heartbreaking Shift from Personal Care to Impersonal Processing…read more I used to be a vocal advocate for East Mountain Vet, but the decline in their service is devastating. Years ago, you could count on real answers and a genuine connection with the staff. Today, that has been replaced by automated systems and endless waiting. The emergency "drop-off" process is particularly flawed. I was promised that my questions would be addressed at pickup, but that was a total "LIE". Instead of speaking with a Veterinarian or a Vet Tech, I was met by an office attendant who had no medical knowledge of my pet's case. They have NO CLUE. They simply read from the discharge papers and couldn't answer basic questions, resulting in a "deer in the headlights" look and zero clarity. They will leave the room in search of answers, but because that office is so busy they come back with no more knowledge then when they left the room. I left that office without seeing the x-rays I paid for, and more importantly, without any peace of mind. It is a factory-line approach to medicine that lacks any shred of the compassion they once had. I miss the old days of care and communication they gave. That is long gone. Word to the wise. Look for another veterinarian to take your pets. This place will leave you with money out of your pocket and unanswered questions.
