    Healthy puppy running with stick

I have taken both my dogs here and have had excellent service :3 my dogs are actually excited to go to the vet which makes me more comfortable going in. Last place I remember going to we had just gotten a dog and I was honestly scared to go in because they were so mean about the dog having some health conditions (family dog we had for less than a week from the humane society, he had kennel cough, ear mites, and was underweight). So I'm glad that this vet was the polar opposite and everyone here is very nice

Wouldn't take my 4 legged friends anywhere else. The doctors are wonderful and the prices are reasonable.

Great veterinary service. They have cared for five of our dogs through the years. Best staff, reasonable prices. Most of all they care!

Always asking for money down. When your pet is staying the night for medical assistance, when they call for the well check, they ask for more money down or for what the current balance is. Always sends you emails to buy stuff from them. When I made the appointment and then I came in for my appointment, the technician seemed confused on what I was exactly doing there. she thought I was leaving my pet. I clarified that we need to find out what is wrong with him. I drive a long distance to bring my pets here cuz of the what used to be good care and decent prices. But now I'm second guessing my choice. I never write reviews good or bad, but that have crossed some lines with me at this point. And when it's a member of your Family, it tends to make you more emotional anyway. Im not sure I will bring any of my fur babies back. I definitely need a cooling off period.

A Heartbreaking Shift from Personal Care to Impersonal Processing…read more I used to be a vocal advocate for East Mountain Vet, but the decline in their service is devastating. Years ago, you could count on real answers and a genuine connection with the staff. Today, that has been replaced by automated systems and endless waiting. The emergency "drop-off" process is particularly flawed. I was promised that my questions would be addressed at pickup, but that was a total "LIE". Instead of speaking with a Veterinarian or a Vet Tech, I was met by an office attendant who had no medical knowledge of my pet's case. They have NO CLUE. They simply read from the discharge papers and couldn't answer basic questions, resulting in a "deer in the headlights" look and zero clarity. They will leave the room in search of answers, but because that office is so busy they come back with no more knowledge then when they left the room. I left that office without seeing the x-rays I paid for, and more importantly, without any peace of mind. It is a factory-line approach to medicine that lacks any shred of the compassion they once had. I miss the old days of care and communication they gave. That is long gone. Word to the wise. Look for another veterinarian to take your pets. This place will leave you with money out of your pocket and unanswered questions.

I took my little puppy in for his first shots. He was seen and given an exam by a vet in the clinic. She was informative, caring and that exam and the shot cost about $75.00. He required a second round of shots three weeks later. Knowing that there would be an additional charges, we took the pup in and he was given and we were required to pay for a second exam. It hadn't been a month but the vet (an older guy) insisted that he would not give the shot without an exam. When questioned about the necessity of a second exam his effort to explain and convince us of the need, he asked, "Well do you want the shot or not?" This time we were charged $95.00. I took my puppy in for his first shots and an exam. Two exams and two rounds of injections later, no underlying or coincident conditions were found and now his first shots have cost me almost two hundred bucks and I'm committed to a third round of shots in three weeks. I would encourage everyone to understand exactly what charges will be before hand. But don't ask anyone there. They seem to get irritated and forget that it is within any customer's right to ask questions. Two hundred bucks for shots. Unbelievable.

I mean what kind of urgent care doesn't accept walk ins? Come on Albuquerque vets get it together! Yikes! Anyways I was happy to get help right away as I was worried about my dog in the condition she was in. To be frank I was honestly avoiding this trip the previous couple days hoping the issue with my dog would resolve itself. Unfortunately by the 3rd day it appeared worse so I had to get my dog checked. Everything went great until they showed me the estimate for a diagnostic test. Oh boy that was a hard pill for me to swallow. Hesitantly I agreed to paying the bill. After about 3 hrs they were able to get a diagnosis and send me off with some stuff to help my dog. I am grateful to see my dog on the mend since my visit but the cost was hard to stomach. I honestly hope I don't need to bring her back in anytime soon cuz my wallet definitely can't bare the expense. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am thankful to see my dogs health improve since our visit and I appreciate the help they provided us. I wouldn't mind returning I just wish it was a little more affordable.

Went to regular vet later that day and showed them their treatment, and test and the vet laughed and said this was not right. Gave my dog a comprehensive blood test and diagnosed the cause of her problems, put her on proper medication and she was fine in a couple of days. Stay away from this clip joint.

We boarded our cat at Juan Tabo Animal clinic several times when leaving, and no matter how short in advance I called, they were always able to accommodate us. My cat would be showered with love and praise every time he came in. I had another senior cat who I was ready to let go because he had just stopped eating and I was afraid was in kidney failure - Dr. Sweeney convinced me to let them hydrate my cat and keep him overnight for antibiotics and I was surprised that my cat survived. About a year later, when the same senior cat became ill again, there was zero judgement and so much care from the clinic when we made the decision to euthanize, and they even stayed late so that I could make it home from work to be there with my husband. More recently, my dog Zeke had been acting strange and having a difficult time standing up. I brought him in on what was clearly a busy day, and within 2 hours, we had labs and imaging. Dr. Crisler worked through her lunch to withdraw fluid that had collected around my dog's lungs that would aid in the diagnosis of a very aggressive form of cancer. We were given the option of referral to local oncology for treatment, but opted to go a more comfort-based route which Dr. Crisler helped us with by prescribing medications that would help make our dog more comfortable. We unfortunately were not able to get our dog in to the clinic to euthanize, but he passed peacefully at home, and the clinic assisted us in getting him cremated which we so appreciate. I appreciate that they have recently expanded their hours by hiring more staff which makes it easy to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. I feel that the staff there really care about the animals and go above and beyond to care for my pets. I will continue to go there for the care of my animals.
