We had…read moredifficulty finding a roofing company that was reliable, but these guys did exactly what they said they would, when they said they would, their work is impeccable (and permanent, so we never have to do it again), and the cost was quite a bit lower than the quotes we received for asphalt shingles. Highly recommend.

I was ready to hire this company this morning when I was expecting one of the owners to show up to…read moredo the quote at 9:30 am. He was supposed to come yesterday but cancelled the appointment because his son was in the hospital with a broken leg, and that is understandable , although I would have thought there would have been another person who could do a quote. I sent text messages this morning to find out if he's still coming because 9:30 had come and gone, finally at 9:51 a.m. I received a message that he won't be coming at all - in other words, no roof by this company. Simply because I like punctuality? That seems rather punitive to me, to say the very least , and I am outraged!

Sherri and Jake are wonderful to work with. They were honest and direct, the contract was thorough and any change orders were discussed openly. Sherri understood that I needed to hold onto funds as contingency, once we knew we didn't need contingency funds we were able to add more to the work being done. Jake's building team and subcontractors were all utter gentlemen. Polite, helpful and as clean as a work site could be. Some of the interior fixtures that were delivered were not correct, Jake offered to send it back and get what we had initially ordered. But I happened to like them anyway. So Jake secured a discount from the company for the company's screw up (wrong SKU # was placed on the boxes). I have had nothing but compliments on the work from my neighbours and strangers passing by. The work took much longer than was initially anticipated - but there were weather issues, product delivery delays and holidays and some illness's along the way - aka 'LIFE.' At the end of the project, my husband and I are THRILLED at the result. I would highly recommend Sherri and Jake for any project. Katie Brady

We chose the decor and Jake and Sherri managed the deconstruction, supply and install. This included painting of both the master ensuite and our bedroom + installation of new fans, walk-in shower, walk-in closet, heated tile floors, vanity and barn doors. Jake came up with an innovative idea to resolve a complex fan installation in a peaked vaulted ceiling. The barn doors took a bit of infill construction to replace the old French doors and upper window separating the master onsite. We were also very satisfied with the expertise of their electrical, plumbing, dry-walling and painting subcontractors. After 2.5 years we are more than happy with the results and budget was kept in check on an on-going basis. We purchased a commercial space in a new building in 2018 which required considerable work to finish. Bohmer was our first choice to complete this task which included the addition of 3 separate rooms, painting and the hanging of barn doors. Time was of the essence as our tenants were preparing to move in ASAP. An estimate was completed and adjustments were several as per changing tenant requirements. Bohmer came in on time, our tenants were and still are amazed with the space. Bohmer remains our first choice in the Comox Valley for renovation. Thank you Jake and Sherri.
