Ok come on Guys!? They put out old yesterday's Pizza hoping nobody would notice. Not cool guys not cool. They had like six plates of all different kinds of pizza I thought wow awesome, I pick up a piece it's Luke warm and kinda stale they were cold and stale it was the all you can eat for $12..50 each 1/2 hour later they bring out the fresh pizza. Much better the salad bar is good but pizza needs to be freaking fresh. If they had given this pizza to a regular customer they would have given it back to them and told them to try again! So the trick is wait about 1-11/2 hrs before going and Ask the guy in the Front is the Pizza FRESH. TELL HIM MIKE SAYS IT MAY NOT BE. Come on Mike don't mess with Mike. read more

Two times here, first time was ok enough. Last night was terrible. Pizza was ok, garlic knots were burned and almost no cheese. All three choices of lettuce at the salad bar were wilted. The large Arrowhead water jug was the only option for water, and it ran out while we were there. They had no replacement and were only able to offer some kind of bottled water that was flavored? The water that came out of the fountain was club soda. We had ordered mozarella sticks that never arrived. When I went up to check, the 18-20 year old employee became somewhat defensive, saying "you didn't order mozarella sticks". Confused, I said "yes I did", pointing to the item on the menu on the wall behind him. He looked at it and says, even more defensively, "we don't have those". Extremely confused now, I said "Well then why did you take my order and why are they clearly on the menu?" He then actually says, "That's an outdated menu. We only have garlic bread with cheese.", then tries to tell me the bread was what I ordered. Regardless, whatever we ordered never even arrived. We got a refund for the mozarella sticks/garlic cheese bread. Horrible experience, terrible service, no clear management on site. We will not be back. read more

Went to this Menlo Park location on the day of Super Bowl. The vibe inside is of a sports bar. They were offering All you can eat pizza buffet for super bowl. Its awesome for pizza lovers, but not so much for vegetarians. There is only one option for vegetarians in the set pizza menu. Its possible to customize that, I got half mt veggimore with creamy garlic sauce and half with marinara. You can also build your own here. Garlic knots were okay, little on the overbaked side. There is a bookable room at the back which was reserved at the time for game viewing and looked fun to do something with friends & family. Pizza came fast, hot & fresh out of the oven. The music was a skipping country song the guy just left skipping for 25 minutes straight. Once the pizzas came out there was nothing without meat, not even a plain cheese. Basically pizza hut but not so buttery crust Came here for the 50% off large pizza Tuesday deal. Was not disappointed. As the title suggests, it tasted similar to the hut except the crust is not overly buttered. Actually liked it better. Speciality pizzas were loaded with toppings. So why only 4 stars? I ordered a large pizza yesterday from Mike's Pizza on El Camino Real, Menlo Park and and had asked for some paper plates, napkins and crushed red pepper. When my order was delivered, it was not hot and there were no paper plates, napkins and crushed red pepper. This was actually the second time that it happened when I ordered pizza from the same place. I actually wrote to Mike's Pizza Customer Service regarding the bad experience in July, 2021 and was assured that this incident would not happen again and was offered a credit of $10, which I have not taken as my experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. Since it has been more than 2 1/2 years had past, I thought I gave them another try, but it was very diappointing. Too bad because I think they make good pizzas, but it will take sometime again to give them another opportunity. read more

Got 4 slices of pizza for two of us which was plenty of food. Their happy house deals are pretty good and we both got two pints of beer. We tried asking the cashier for her opinion on which beer is sweeter since we aren't huge beer people but she was unable to answer because she wasn't 21 haha. They didn't have all the types of pizza since this was after their lunch time rush I guess and even one of the pepperoni pizzas ran out and she subbed it with two cheese slices. I get this place catered for work events all the time and their veggie combo and Everest pizza are delicious! Recommend those! read more

I love the Buffet they have, it's a great selection of pizzas and salad. It never disappoints me. My kids love it so much especially because they have games they can play. Horrible service. I ordered two pizzas to be delivered at 5:15pm today. I placed the order this morning. At 5:20 I'd heard nothing, so I called. They said they're are on their way. They called me again at 5:40 and said the pizzas had not left their shop. To make up for their mistake, they offered an $8 discount. Not even ten percent when I had a scheduled event and hungry people waiting! I was polite but made clear that wasn't good enough. They held firm. They've lost a customer they've had for decades. As you can see below, the picture could wait. I used to be the world's biggest Round Table fanboy, and I still like RT, but the game is now tied. RT *might* have a slight edge when it comes to red sauce -- it's spicy and I adore it, but Mountain Mike's has a creamy garlic sauce that knocks the ball out of the park! I'm calling the crusts a tie -- I love 'em both. What you see here is ham, mushroom, and feta cheese on a regular crust, with that dee-lish creamy garlic sauce. I asked them to bake it slightly longer, because hello... Crispy Crust! and... SCORE. I know your mouth is watering. What's weird is that growing up in Sacramento, the fast-food capital of the world in case you didn't know, I never once had Mountain Mike's. It wasn't until they moved in at the old Applewood Pizza location here in Menlo (TG -- Applewood sucked,) that I had my first try -- at a Thursday buffet just prior to COVID. Now, they have a new fanboy that'll order delivery at least once per month. Not sure why Mnt Mikes in MP doesn't have higher ratings ?! Went there in response to the sign posted outside that features an AYCE Pizza, Salad Bar and Soft Drink deal until 2PM daily for only $12.99 ! For our area this is a bargain and quite honestly it was filling and fresh and kept me tied over for my evening activities seeing The Cure at Shoreline that evening. Guy working the register was also slinging the pies and cleaning up - but he told us he'd have fresh pies out in 10 minutes and he kept them coming ! Four pies with a wide variety of toppings - hot and fresh - plus the salad bar was "old school" but everything was fresh and newly replaced - so we each had a big salad and a bunch of slices of pizza and a refilled soft drink for under $30 for the two of us ! Great deal and we will be back for sure. They also do $2 slices and half price large pies on Tuesday and Thursday - making them very reasonable. The crust was airy and fluffy and the toppings were fresh and plentiful ! A win in my book. Plus these guys are open relatively late for "Menlo Dark". Well done Mnt Mikes ! read more

Echoing the recent comments, no idea how this location ended up with such bad reviews. We saw their BOGO special and decided it was worth a try for our personal "COVID local business takeout" weekly initiative. We ordered two large pizzas and a garlic cheese bread, and everything was AMAZING. Hot, fresh, ready for pick up exactly on time (15-20min). We will be back! For others ordering in the COVID era - we were also impressed by their safety. Employees in masks and gloves. No need to sign anything or take a receipt after ordering online for pick up in store (they're also delivering but we live walkable). We agreed that the crust was a nice level of crispiness. The tomato sauce and the various cheese, meat, and vegetable toppings were simple and tasted "clean" and fresh. We kind of regularly order pizza from here because: 1) it's convenient 2) it's doesn't break the bank 3) quality is pretty good We don't live far so it's easy to swing by and pick up a pizza. They have 1/2 off large pizza on Tues and Thurs so that's when we order. We usually get half robber's roost and half hilo. Toppings are plentiful and it comes out fresh and hot. They did mess up our order a couple times. One time they gave us a cheese pizza and I didn't check until I got home. Called them up and they fixed it so we essentially got a free pie. Another time they didn't add the chicken. So now I always check before I leave. Anyways, because of the 3 points above, we will continue to order here. read more

An extra star in the review goes for their amazing Tuesday discount on large pizzas, making for a very cheap dinner for three. In terms of covid safety, their employees still wear masks. Customer service could be better -- guy seemed a little annoyed with questions I asked. Pickup was easy, just walked in, doors were open so no touching required, swiped credit card and guy at register waived signature to avoid me having to touch the digital pen. It was fast. I said oh geesh had I known I would have ordered more and done the special, the employee said no I can't do that. The Menlo Park location is our family's Go-To spot for our Pizza fix. We usually keep it simple and order the Mountain size pepperoni. It's a solid choice. Today our family decided to try the Chicken Club. I looked at the website and it was a little more expensive, but the ingredient list justified the price. When picking up the pizza, I was really disappointed to see that they did not provide enough green onions compared to the website. Also they cooked the green onions completely to a crisp. Isn't this usually a garnish? But either way, you can clearly see in the picture, it didn't have much. Maybe next time I'll specify, please add more after cooking? Either way, we'll keep coming back because the staff is nice and the food is usually solid. Maybe next time they'll get it right. Crossing my fingers. read more
