He has been generous with his time and explained everything to us. As a parent that's important! It seems parents get forgotten and are misinformed but Dr Corelli isn't like that. He provides a much needed service. Quickly. Efficiently. Professionally. Honestly. He helped answer the questions I didn't know to ask. When your in a situation that you need his assistance- you know what I'm talking about... sometimes it gets overwhelming and you don't know what you don't know. Thank you.

I understood from the Educational Consultant and Licensed Clinical Social Worker that this is what was necessary to get to better understand my sons behavioral problems. After spending the money on the evaluation, which included an MMPI-A report, Dr. Correlli concluded that my son had no serious behavior or personality disorder but was mildly depressed. Wouldn't you too be depressed if your parents took you away from a summer in Southern California to hike in the mountains of Southern Utah, with a bunch of drug addicts, which by the way my son was not!!! Anyway, despite the only diagnosis Dr. Correlli concluded was that my son was mildly depressed he "Strongly Recommended" that my son go directly to a Therapeutic Boarding School when finished at Elements. I was able to get a second opinion on Dr. Correlli's report and MMPI-A analysis with a Dr. Richard LeVak, one of the authors of the MMPI-A test. Dr. LeVak called me after looking at it and said, congratulations your son is "normal". Unfortunately, I came away believing that these "tough love" programs for struggling teens are not well regulated nor based on scientific studies with p-values. This can lead to referrals that may have a conflict of interest when people "strongly recommend" a $140,000 per year Therapeutic Boarding. One size does not fit all, ask questions and get second opinions otherwise you could get taken advantage of. Fortunately, my son came directly home from Elements after 8 weeks is enrolled in a public school on ADD meds, with an IEP and help with an educational therapists and has 4 A's and 2 B's. If you research the reviews of these Therapeutic Boarding Schools you will be horrified by some of the abuse and poor education they get away with.

Very disappointing.

A friend referred me to Dr. Sterling. I found her really easy to open up to and trust. Dr. Sterling explained how emotions get stuck in the body and assessed where my pain was and how it was affecting me. She asked me questions about how my injury was impacting my life in terms of what it was limiting me from doing. She used some techniques I had never experienced or heard of before but after only 20 minutes, I was completely amazed. The pain was nearly gone!! I was able to put more weight on my foot. I felt lighter and I also had a lot more clarity about how I was going to handle my errands that weekend. Had someone told me that my pain would significantly diminish or that I'd be able to get a lot of clarity about how to prioritize my agenda, all within 20 minutes and without medication, I would have laughed. But that was my experience with Dr. Sterling. She's the real deal!

I try to have a basically positive attitude towards life and have goals I want to reach but somehow I couldn't put the pieces together to make things work the way I desire. Because of this I would have self-esteem issues and would cause myself so much unnecessary anxiety. I've tried some other forms of traditional therapy. I would make only small steps of progress over longer periods of time. Dr. Serena Sterling is very easy to talk to and trust. I feel like my treatment with her strikes a balance of someone professionally treating me for a problem and someone who is relatable and warm - unlike traditional therapy where there can sometimes be a wall between the doctor and patient. I was thrilled that NET wasn't like traditional therapy where I would feel accused of having the same old Freudian psychological cliches that I went into the first session feeling moderately defensive about. You will dig up some crazy stuff that you can't believe is still in there bothering you. I felt some issues release right away but after the third session I felt a marked difference in my overall vibe. Memories and emotions from the past physically left my body - I literally could feel the place they used to be. There was a vice-like tension in my chest for years that was 100% gone. I'm starting to feel more and more like a mature adult that can understand her emotions and work on the corresponding patterns rather than (what I would label myself as) someone who just can't get it together. For the first time in all the years of therapy I've tried, I am very confident in NET and in my ability to get to the place I want to be in life.

There is one check in desk with several people that can check you in no matter which doctor you are visiting. Once you check in, you take a seat near one of 4 doors that will open and you'll be called back. On my latest visit, it didn't take too long for them to call me back. The medical assistant was very friendly and escorted me to a room. She took my vitals and prepared me for the doctor to come in later. I was one of the first appointments of the day so I didn't have to wait too long for the doctor, however, in the afternoon, I've waited sometimes for up to an hour or more. The doctors I see here are usually pretty good about listening to me, but there have been a couple that want to rush you out after giving you the "standard" diagnosis. Intermountain has good doctors for the most part. Inside the room, they had a white noise machine with wave sounds to calm me while I waited for the doctor. The decor in the exam room area included barn style doors rather than typical swing doors which seemed to make efficient use of the space. I'm sure I'll be back several more times as many of my doctors have moved here from the Layton Clinic and only see patients here.

I've had four appointments here with the maternal fetal medicine team and I've always been treated with care and given the opportunity to ask questions and not feel rushed. My only complaint is that every single one of my appointments has started 15-30 minutes late. This place isn't very busy so it's typically not because of other patients. It's because they are still working out kinks with having rooms available, or the staff being ready. I'm not really sure all the details, but it's frustrating nevertheless. I would still recommend, but work in some extra time into your schedule.
