The views are beautiful. The Resort has a full schedule of events for members. The worse part of the stay was the duck hunters shooting at 5 AM in the lake right next to our campsite. You can't beat the views from the campsite. The staff was nice! read more

The internet is by far the worst I've encountered it's very unreliable impossible to stream the campground was not even close to capacity it's terrible i would b willing to pay for reliable internet . upgrades should be done and charge a small fee for it I've been to campgrounds that charge 2.50 night for it and it was awesome very high speed and reliability was a big plus if u r going to advertise Wi-Fi make it reliable otherwise don't offer it because it's not a perk read more

The staff at Mountain Lakes is absolutely amazing. Not only did they pull our camper back to the storage for us , they were more than helpful when our brake line went out on our truck , they allowed us to just hang out until we were able to have someone to get us that was more than 3 hours away. This place is home away from home and I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a nice campground to come here. Beautiful place for sure. read more

I am a platinum member. I joined this for the ability to use the cabins and the campground I have stayed in several of these locations this particular locations mountain Lake resort Alabama has been the worst one I've stayed in the cabins have not been updated in 10 to 15 years, the one I'm staying in does not have a heat just AC and it is a little chilly today. I asked at the front desk to be relocated into another unit. They told me that my platinum membership does not qualify for a better location. read more

We have a permanent residence at Mountain Lake Resorts, which we enjoy very much. We do not live there year round, but we enjoy going and staying a few days at a time. We can do this without having to make reservations or make special arrangements. The only downside to Mountain Lake Resort is the terrible WiFi service. I suggest they work on giving better service to their patrons. read more

We stayed 2 nights at this resort. Very nice staff and amazing sunsets on the lake. We toured the resort with Joshua and we highly recommend taking a tour with him. He's very knowledgeable about all camp grounds around the US and makes the tour fun. We will be back! read more

It sucks. The pool is green. Out of 48 lights 28 of them are busted inside the indoor pool. People here will yell at you for going 1 mile over the speed limit (5 1/2). They don't care about you. They care about your money and how fast you drive your car. Please don't waste your time or money here. Also as long as you know the pin number you can get inside. SECURITY??? NONE. read more

Iv'e been an employee for almost 2 years and really enjoy it. It's not for everyone I know, but if you like meeting new people, and the outdoors, then this is the place. I have a lot of fun interacting with the members, & guest, and fellow employees. Of course you have bad days every now and then, but what job doesn't? We just wanted to let ya'll know. We bought a travel trailer and visited Mountain Lakes Resort and found the very best site of all. "WHAT A VIEW" The staff is great and the facility was clean throughout our entire stay. We did inquire about the membership and had a great host to explain everything to us. Josh took time to detail out all the wonderful benefits offered in the membership. The guided tour was very inviting as well. He was great!!! The only reason we didn't rate MLR a 5 star is we like to sit around campfires and roast marshmallows and you have to have a fire pit to do that. I would like to suggest if the fires are not allowed to have a common area for people to come, gather and enjoy a fire. Other than that we would rate it a 5. This is a small but fun resort! A lot of much needed improvements have been made. The kids enjoy the outdoor pool, indoor pool, and the Cafe! They do offer all kinds of activities for adults and kids. We really enjoy our stays and always look forward to our time here. read more

The resort is very nice, with a lot of amenities to offer. Unfortunately we visited during the pandemic and some things were closed (indoor pool. Kids club, etc.) So we didn't get a look at everything. This is a members only park, but they extend invitations to campers who are interested if you sit through a presentation. Our guide was Josh and he was super friendly and helpful. We have stayed at one other campground on Guntersville lake, and liked this one more. read more

Stayed 2 nights. Only downside is, wait, there are none. Many large, spacious RV sites, tent sites, cabins, and bunkhouses. TV storage on site. Beautiful Gunterville Lake with multiple boat launches and mooring sites. So many activities here, no need to leave. Very friendly, helpful staff. Off the beaten trail, but worth the trip! read more

Your membership dollars and maintenance fees don't go far at this campground. Maintenance fees go up every year and they use that fact as a sales pitch to try to get you to upgrade your membership. There's a putt putt course that is in dismal condition. Pot holes are pretty bad in the roadways. Rules such as "no site reservations" and "no unattended campers" don't apply if you know the guy who moves the trailers. The restaurant was destroyed and the shoreline has way too much gunk to fish. read more

Mountain Lakes Resort AKA Ocean Canyon, Langston, Al is the worst place on earth that you could put your money. Once you sign a contract and if something happens that you are not able to use it, you will be paying yearly maintenance fees until you are 120 years old or as long as you live. You will not find a buyer for your membership so you are stuck. The new owners (Ocean Canyon) told me that they will take my house. Run from these people, they will turn on you like a pack of dogs. Stay far away from this SCAM. They make plenty of promises, but do NOT follow through. We were very happy the 1st year, after that it all went downhill. You can pay for storage & your stuff will get broke into & things stolen. I have NEVER dealt with such a horrible company-the people that work there are nice for the most part, but the main company (Ocean Canyon Resorts) SUCKS. Not sure about my review? It's ok if you don't mind getting eaten by fleas and mosquitoes. Also, if you have a dog that is "labeled " aggressive beware you will probably get reported by a man mowing the lawn or a lady on a golf cart. Even if the dog is in your campsite and on a leash and you are holding the leash. Management doesn't care if these people are lying or throwing things out of proportion. Otherwise the lake was nice and the grandkids enjoyed the camping but missed their dog . read more

Had the tour of the Mountain Lakes facility today and loved it. Ocean Properties is the owner and this was by far better than most of the Coast-to-Coast properties which, quite frankly, have been very disappointing thus far. At the Mountain Lakes RV Resort, there were plenty of spacious RV sites, the views by the lake were wonderful, and the clubhouse and amenities were well maintained. We would not have booked the visit/tour if we'd known they were associated with Camp Coast-to-Coast, but are now glad we did take the time for the tour and will look specifically for this and other Ocean Properties locations to stay while traveling. The salesman, David, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and represented Ocean Properties well. If we did not already have a home campground that is also associated with Camp Coast-to-Coast, we would have strongly considered buying here. read more

We recently purchased a camper. Along with the purchase we received free nights stay at Mountain Lakes RV Resort. This place was very disappointing. Too crowded, indoor pool was filthy, and the staff at the restaurant were not welcoming. This RV park is out dated and not very well kept. If this is a representation of all the other properties in this "time share like scam", don't bother. My $18,000 will be better spent in other locations. read more

This is not a good place to buy into. They make a lot of promises and don't keep them. They even tell you that you can resell for the same price that you paid plus the upgrades that you make. Try to sell it. They want you to send people their way to sell other spaces to them. They also want let you sell yours for more than original cost. Forget the upgrades! read more
