One guy working, the other guy standing there watching him. They ground the big one and then the small one. No raking to see if they got it all. My husband checked one of them and found a big piece he missed. He came back and got that one. Going forward 3 weeks we our getting the wood chips removed, our yard evened out and grass planted and boom...their machine hits a big part of stump hidden under all the wood chips..then they find 3 more that are not ground down under soil. My husband calls the owner( Greg) and he changed his number?? I looked it up and found another number, he answers and says I'll have the guy out today or tomorrow....that was Saturday....no guy..Sunday...no guy, then he texts Monday and says he would come that day..again..no guy...it is now Tuesday and he isn't answering his phone. Didn't get what we payed for and apparently he doesn't want to make it right. NOW we are having to pay for someone else to come grind the pieces for us... I called the office to report this. Five minutes had not passed before Bob Petrovic returned my call, profusely apologized and promised to have someone out right away. Within 10 minute of that call, a CLE truck was outside my home. Noah, the excellent maintenance service representative who always takes care of my lawns, apologized to me, telling me that this was not a very good day for him. I totally understood, because Noah has always been very kind, polite, and courteous, always answering any questions I have. And how many of us have had an "off" day now and then? Noah said that he would not leave until I was completely satisfied with everything. And, satisfied I was, not only with the work, but with the quick, polite and professional response by Bob, Noah and the customer service staff at CLE. I have worked with them for many years and they have always done a great job for me!

I hired Mark to do lawn cleanup and snow plowing in late 2020. The company did an excellent clean…read moreup job. The Snowplowing was fair. The company failed on the 2 largest snow falls, December 1 and December 25. Their truck went off the road on Dec. 1st. The snow was so high we couldn't get into our driveway and had to stay in a hotel overnight. He just didn't show up on December 25, but fortunately we were able to leave and return. We engaged his service for Lawn Care. He wanted $4000 which was reasonable but refused to give us a written contract detailing service. One time he read the terms by phone, the next time when we gave him a deposit of 1000, he stated he would email the contract, He contacted me at a later date for a payment and I told him I needed a contract of service before I rendered any future payments. Still no contract. I can understand the reasoning behind no written contract because the level of service was substandard. There were high areas of grass left after cutting and they only cut a 1/4 of the backyard. Mark also became argumentative when questioned about weekly lawn cutting vs. Cutting every 2-3 weeks. He sighted the wetness of property. LAWNMARK cut the lawn on 5/3-4, and had to be contacted on 5/25 as to when they would cutting the grass as the grass was so high I was embarrassed and concerned about receiving a citation from the city. Mark became argumentative, I sent him pictures of the lawn. There was no rain during this period of time and once again I requested a contract of terms in order to remit payment. He came out and cut the lawn late in the evening almost at dusk. He was still in my driveway at 9 pm. We terminated his service because it was clear he didn't have the proper equipment to service or time to properly service our 2 acre property and refused to give us a written contract.. We retained another company and the water content was not a problem as this had never been an issue in the last 18 years we've lived in this property. The service rendered by LAWNMARK was substandard at best and the new landscaping company took 4 hours to straighten out the lawn and they haven't missed a week of service, rain or shine. I am thankful I didn't render payment in full otherwise legal action would have been required.

As I post this to warn others, I just read that the BBB deletes reviews after a while, so now I know. I never thought I would need to save others' negative reviews in order to protect others! Yeowza! These guys are amazing…read more After six estimates, Mark Zivkovich could not be beat! Now, yes, we had heard of them but their reputation did not preced them. Todd, Jeremy and Justin came with a gigantic crane, a swift moving cherry picker and last, but not hardly, least...the Bandit Intimidator (the wood chopper). In a matter of less than two hours, they took down a diseased Ash tree, chipped it into mulch (left us some at our request) and cleaned the yard, street, roof and gutters of all debris! They Left with handsome smiles, left us with smiles and I recommend them to all who need tree services.
