Bardstown pike mile marker is a public art piece and park pole area that sits right at the bushy…read moreintersection of Beulah Church Road and Batdstown road at the red light just outside of Fern Creek Highs school. The liver is a stone mole marker made circa 1835. The grasslands and park area behind it isn't always the best maintained. Sometimes it is landscaped nicely and other times it is ran down. Overall an interesting area that most of Lousiville probably has driven by but not really taken the time to walk out and discover.

Dedicated to a Herschel and Louise metcalf in 1997 I've passed This bell quite a few times over the years but have been unable to find the significance or story behind the memorial. Regardless it's a very nice old time looking bell and sticks out and serves as a very nice memorial.

Very cool and unique public art/donation monument in the highlands located on the bardstown road…read moreportion of St James Catholic Church. Not gonna lie the first few times I walked by this cool sculpture I legit thought it was a real homeless man sleeping. It wasn't until I seen the donation box once and happened to read about it. This is in a very popular portion of Louisville with lots of nearby quirky shops and eateries within walking distance. Over the next few weeks I plan on checking out many of Louisville's public art and I started in the highlands. Within very close walking distance of this you have the "spirit of highlands" and "Kentucky rushmore" wall pant murals that's worth checking out. Also only a 2 min drive from Louisville native "Hunter S Thompson" wall mural. Overall I love this piece of art. Cool, unique and has a great cause. Worth checking out.

Twisted steel rack sculpture is part of a downtown of Lousiville citywide art initiative called…read morebike rack where local artist designed unique, artistic and functional bike racks throughout the are. This one is rather large and abstract in features metal intertwining and twisting. This particular rack was made by artist David Caudil whose sculpture work is pretty prevalent in the city with quite a few on university of Louisville campus. Thai actually piece sits outside of museum row in downtown Lousiville. Overall pretty cool art project and I always enjoy checking out the differences and uniqueness of the bike rack sculptures when I come across them.
