A google search was able to give us this gem and less than 5 miles away, no less! The gentlemen are kind and patient ( I basically walked from tree to tree admiring the very subtle differences lol) offering to pull out whichever tree I needed. I did find out that they're moving to Glendale next year as neighbors complained (they're right next to a church?) so that's a bummer. But our 5-6ft Douglas Fir was a steal, at least we have another place to come if Long Beach eludes us again.

This is not just a Christmas tree spot but is also an extremely underrated pumpkin patch during the…read moremonth of October. This place is a decent-sized pumpkin patch that has free parking next to Target, a 3-dollar adult and 1-dollar child entrance fee, and a bunch of inflatables that kids can use as long as they can based on the price point you pay for. $25 for 30 mins or $35 for 1 hour This allows the kiddos to use all inflatables for that time that you pay for, and there are a lot; I think I counted about 12. All sizes for all kinds of kids, and they're unlimited play for the time frame you paid for. It is amazing, and no pumpkin patch does this. Most charge 1 token, equivalent to about 5 to 7 bucks, to use 1 inflatable for maybe 1 minute or 1 turn, depending on what it is. This option saves you so much money. On top of that, you can play up to 5 different games for 12 dollars, and they sell plenty of goodies and snacks for a decent price for the kiddos or for anyone wanting a snack. They have a petting zoo and, of course, photo ops and pumpkins for sale. The whole patch is not the biggest, but it is decent and extremely nice with great staff. I highly recommend this patch for anyone looking for a patch.

The layout feels a little wonky as the garden center area is on the far south side of the store, off Colorado Street, but the main entrance and parking area are on San Fernando Rd/Harvard Street. I wanted to check out a few plants and garden things for my guy's place not far away, but only really explored what was out front and a few misc items in the store. I've been to this locations a couple times in the past but never really notice how inconvenient they're setup until recently... blaming the summer heat. If you enjoy hot dogs, they have their Hot Dog Depot, also in the main parking lot, no veggie options and still cash only. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. Tons of space and easy isles. Tons of employees. One side for their entrance and the other for the exit which makes the garden center even more out of place. Easy for pickup orders. Reasonable prices, though not my prime choice location or home improvement. Rarely that busy. They offer curbside pickup from 9am til 6pm And operate from 6am until 10pm Monday through Saturday. 7am til 8pm on Sunday only - holiday hours may vary. Free Wi-Fi available.
