To start with, this guy refuses to use Epic or integrate with it in any way--the system that everybody else uses. This means that none of my other doctors can see anything about my history with him--no blood tests, no notes, no diagnoses and it makes it very hard on all my other providers and me. I had my primary care physician say to me that he hadn't seen a blood test for me for years and I have one every 6 months! Every time I need this data shared I have to call his office, talk to somebody in records and give them the information of the doctor to share records with and they don't often actually do it. I had to hand him my phone with the John Muir health app open so he could read notes from my cardiologist after I specifically called his office before my appointment and told them to give him the notes from the same cardiologist. Even more annoying, the in-house labs kept charging me copays then also sending me a paper bill for like $2 after the fact. I get the same tests every time, why can't you figure out what this costs and charge me all at once instead of wasting my time paying paper bills. I got fed up with that and went to a lab on the 2nd floor of the same building but because he doesn't play well with Epic I have to hand deliver paper orders--what is it 1985? Even worse, I was left for over an hour sitting in the exam room on 2 separate occasions because he was "busy". I only see this guy once every 6 months so the ratio of him being on time vs extremely late is pretty sad. The final straw was that he and his staff checked me into a virtual appointment and then I guess they forgot about me because 90 minutes later I call the office from my phone and its closed! I get the answering service to get him on the line and he acts like he had no idea why I was scheduled to see him--dude, you asked me to come to this appointment! I have never been so disrespected by a doctor.

Every four weeks I spend about four hours in the infusion room, the nurses are very skilled and do their best to make everyone comfortable. This is such a difficult job, dealing with patients who quite often won't be around too long, but the nurses, assistants and doctors all tried everything that my insurance would approve. There were a lot of times that treatments or procedures were denied. My wife's cancer was vicious and aggressive. She tried every probably every chemo or immunotherapy on the market, did radiation multiple times, did infusions, had surgeries, and they always did their best to keep her truthfully informed, and keep her spirits up, even when the news wasn't good. Now my wife generally hates going to the doctor, but a trip to Diablo Valley was more like talking with friends for her. Now I will say to ask questions, and get all copies reports for yourself, so you can go home, and read and learn about what is happening. I think it was difficult doing this, but made everything make sense about what was happening. When you have a little knowledge about your treatment and conditions, the decisions are much easier to make in my opinion. I will miss my wife more than I can explain, but I truly believe they did their best to take care of Jerusha. Rest In Peace.

Despite my ability to work well with a wide range of personalities and teams, I was met with hostility and poor treatment by members of my department. I think they are currently understaffed. I waited well over six months for an appointment. I even talked to a real person on at least two occasions. Finally, I just walked into the office one day and I got an appointment immediately for the next week. Another tip is to make sure the therapists are measuring you on every visit if you are asking for any kind of insurance paid medical equipment. I went another two months at least without realizing that they weren't doing that. At every visit, I reminded them that I need the equipment. They even said that they needed to measure me. Was never done.

Dr. Olej Krijanovski in my opinion is one of the best hematology oncologists in the Bay Area…read more I met Dr. Oleg Krijanovski (they call him Dr. "K") in October of 2025, after my hematologist told me she wanted to transfer my care to him because he is a specialist in his field and has vast experience and knowledge in advanced treatment therapies for blood disorders. It was a difficult time for me. The medication I took (hydroxyurea) that controlled by blood platelets since 2012, stopped working. My hematologist recommended that I consult with Dr. Oleg Krijanovski, and to prepare for the meeting she gave me a pamphlet to read about a drug called Besremi - an injectable interferon therapy used to treat various blood disorders. I entered the meeting with Dr. Oleg Krijanovski feeling extreme anxiety and uncertainty and left the meeting with all my questions answered, feeling heard, and feeling hopeful. He was easy to talk to, respectful and showed empathy. The doctor also has an amazing team that works together to provide excellent patient care. Four months into my new health journey, I feel very fortunate and blessed that Dr. Oleg Krijanovski is my doctor.
