We really enjoyed the apple cider and apple cider doughnuts here! Didn't explore the rest of the farm as it was a little chilly, but I could see that there were a ton of family-friendly activities, including hayrides, games, a corn maze, and pumpkin-patch photo opportunities. We tried one each of the available doughnuts: Plain, cinnamon sugar, and maple drizzle. All were fresh and warm and well worth the maybe 20-25 minute wait (and there was a guy singing/playing guitar for us, which was nice!). The dough was light and fluffy, rather than dense and cake-like, which was a positive for me. Our favorite was the maple drizzle, which wasn't overly sweet and added a nice subtle maple flavor. A nice place to get a pumpkin and some donuts. The old-fashioned donuts were decent, but I'd recommend trying the ones with cinnamon sugar. The market had a variety of great items, and there were food trucks offering breakfast as well. The horse ride was brief but enjoyable. There isn't really a pumpkin patch, but it's a good spot for a quick visit overall. read more

I LOVE it here! I had heard about Moulton Farm previously, but hadn't made it a priority stop as I only had a day near Winnepesaukee on my trip. As we drove by, I saw a sign for cider donuts and made a U-turn to turn back. Cider donuts in July! A miracle! They have a separate trailer, Cider Belles, that make the donuts. The options are limited, but who needs more than three anyway? I ordered two traditional ones and they were so perfectly doughy on the inside and crispy on the outside and well-spiced. They make them to order so they were nice and warm, which was welcome on a colder, rainy day. I would have taken a picture but I gobbled them up instead. We also ventured inside the market, which offers so many fresh produce, breads, pantry goods, and sweets that it was almost overwhelming. Had we been staying in a place with an actual kitchen, I would have stocked up. We just went with a local apple butter, which I can't wait to enjoy at home. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but they offer quality items. The staff are friendly, and they are efficient in checking out as they're used to big crowds. They have a lot of outdoor seating if you want to eat on site, and they offer a food truck with fresh sandwiches and meals (although most of them are not vegetarian/vegan). They have a garden across the street where people can clip their own flowers and produce; the views are spectacular. Highly recommend! read more

This has to be one of my favorite places to visit every time I come to Meredith to visit my son. He loves the fresh fish, my daughter loves all the fresh fruit and vegetables, and I'm a sucker for all the baked goods, especially the wild blueberry pie and apple cider donuts, which I'm often lucky enough to stop by when the donuts are still warm. Whenever I'm driving to our lake house I won't even stop to go to the bathroom if it looks like I'll get to Moulton Farms just in time. It's my first stop. Produce, fish, marinades, bread, pies, cheese, and sausage (I'm vegetarian but my son and friends love the variety!) Have been here several times. I do think it's a decent spot. They now sell fresh fish. That alone is a winning move. Yet when it comes to prices, this establishment is quite expensive. A lot of this is demand due to tourists, but they am sure have expenses with a large farm operation. Definitely get a apple pie. They are delicious. Then again the Whoopie Pies also. These are truly tasty. There's also real maple syrup. It does taste better than the processed stuff from a grocery store. Nice folks work here, and parking can be tight due to its popularity. We were here in late May 2024 and went specifically for the apple donuts (their website says people come from all over New England for these donuts so we had to try them). They were pretty good. They would have been so much better if they had been freshly cooked and warm. Not quite as good as our gold standard from Apple Hill (California) but we still very much enjoyed them. Can't say I'd drive way out of my way to have another one, but if I was in the area again I'd definitely stop again. The store is huge and has all sorts of things. Fresh bread (we didn't try any but it looked good), pies (we tried a slice of apple and it was very good), fresh produce (the tomatoes were lacking but I think it was really too early in the season but the lettuces were excellent and lasted soooo long!), all sorts of jams/sauces/syrups (the jam we got was great), frozen meat/seafood (didn't get any but the meats seemed to be all organic), and prepared meals (we had a chicken pot pie which was just ok). I'm sure I'm missing something. But, the selection was good, the place was clean and well organized, and the staff were very friendly. I love their choices for premade meals. The soup selection is excellent. I had the vegetable, which was awesome. The frozen seafood choices are much broader than we see in the area. Lots of baked goods, but also a good variety of vegetables. It's winter here, I'm sure in season the vegetables and fruits would be more plentiful. Also some gifts, specialty home canned items, and coffees. All around it's very versatile. Prices are not low. read more

What a beautiful little market. I came here while on vacation from Texas and although pricey, it had the freshest foods I have seen in a long time. So many simple yet flavorful pre made meals, amazing selection of honey and jams, good coffee and donuts made on site. It taste like how food is supposed to taste, and not the weird frankenfood that we are used to eating. It was nice to be able to pick up fresh food and have a beautiful picnic out front with the farm and mountains as a backdrop. It's definitely worth the daytrip if you're in the area. read more

I am weird about country stores. I usually think there's nothing I'm ever going to buy, but this store was one of my favorites in the many that I've seen during my entire existence in New England. Probably because their bakery section is soooo large with so many options and everything looked fresh, nicely crafted and well baked. You can tell this place gets a lot of traffic, because it was a Sunday afternoon first week in November and they're still baking fresh loaves of bread. Their fruits of the farm pie is fantastic. I judge pie on the crust, their crust was not soggy, and I could taste the different textures in the pie (apple, Berries etc). The prices were not too bad, neither. Some were pricer- 1/2 pie was $11 is a tad steep considering a slice is 3.29 and a whole was around $18ish. But I'd return. They have a lot of local goods. read more

It is great to have a local farm to get high-quality fresh produce. Because of the pandemic, they have even offered curbside pick up of orders. This too is great! Buyers, however, should be aware that their prices on some items are ridiculously high. For example, the web page does not provide prices, and we were startled to see that two small eggplants cost us over $10 (they were $5.99 per pound). This is outrageous. read more

Tried the farm stand only -- had a couple of new apple varieties I eagerly tried out. My new favorite is the "Liberty"--tart, crisp and an explosion of apple in your mouth. Lots of their own grown produce still field fresh. Store was packed with all the cheeses and prepared goodies one could imagine. More importantly folx staffing inside and directing the holiday weekend were courteous and pleasant with the huge influx of out of state traffic. LOVE Moulton Farm. Every summer when we go to Lake Winnipesaukee, we love stopping here to pick up some fresh corn on the cob. Corn mazes, hand-fed barnyard critters, and helicopter rides? Oh my. Part farm stand with produce grown steps away, part full-service lunch provider, slinging hot soups, pre-made sandwiches and salads, and frozen entrees beside half chickens and loaves of house-baked breads. Outside the main hutch, you'll find a stand-alone Cider Bellies donut stand that drizzles iconic seasonal treats with a reduced maple glaze, or (as we prefer them) shaken with cinnamon-sugar. A buck a pop, six for $5 or $9 buys a dozen. Buy a dozen like nobody's watching. (They are watching. And judging.) We passed on the aforementioned maze, which runs $6 for adults and yields a cookie to those who find the ten stations along the proper route. We also passed (begrudgingly) the 10 minute helicopter ride that'll give you an aerial view of the corn field, and other overheard tableaus worthy of a golden 'Gram. #instapun Pet a goat, buy a pumpkin, fog up the window in front of the donut conveyor and GTFO. The Moulton Farm is a huge guilty pleasure for my wife and I any time we are out in the area. Not only do they have several greenhouses and a great gardening selection, they also have a huge farmer's market inside selling their own fruits and vegetables, as well as various products from other local farms as varied as milk, cheese, ice cream, salsa, dressings, seasoning kits, meat, seafood, and lots more. They also have their own expansive (*expAnsive not expEnsive!) bakery with personalized cakes, breads, pies, and more. They also have a few crafts, such as shopping bags and scrollwork ornaments. Each October they create an amazing corn maze in which you can while away a few hours wandering and answering trivia questions posted throughout. Arriving late one afternoon, we ran into a family, and the little girl excitedly informed us that they'd "been lost all day!" All the various temptations are well worth a visit, and you will keep coming back to see what else they have! read more

Great idea - needs some work. We opted to try the farm to table breakfast buffet. It's not worth the trip. One selection of unflavored average scrambled eggs, flavored bacon that was greasy, flavored sausage that was greasy, unremarkable hash, bad coffee and mostly store bought pastries. The one good item was the fresh fruit bowl. It was good not great and nothing with it such as granola, yogurt etc. The only thing that appeared to be from the farm was green beans which were out of place. As to the other items that rounded off a pretty expensive (in context) farm to table buffet - there were none. The fresh produce and other items sold here are top notch so this was a shocker. Great idea. Terrible execution. Needs work. Lower price by about $18 or increase - greatly - the quality and items available. Needs much improvement. read more

Moulton Farm is a GEM. It is truly beautiful. You know it must be a special place when you jump at the chance to join in on a food run. There's something about looking around at locally grown products in the the middle of a dazzling New England August day and being excited by the actual beauty of the produce. Each fruit and vegetable looks exquisite! Check out some of the pictures I've posted to illustrate. MF also sells seafood, dairy products, canned goods, bakery items, candy, and more. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. My sister is gluten free and the staff helped us put together a nice big order of bakery items that they had to special order in. As for my gluten-friendly self, I have yet to try the Cider Bellies doughnuts which I hear are to die for. What a great farm! Easy to find and there is lots to do here. Great place for any age! There is plenty of parking. A very high priced store with gourmet items and organic foods. Did I say pricey! Wow! $9 for strawberries! What!!! Anyways, we just did a quick walk through the store to check out what they had to offer. Outside was pumpkin paradise! There was also a few baby farm animals in one area you could look at. One goat and two calves named Bert and Ernie. LOL At the back of the farm you will find a huge corn maze! Great fun for everyone. The BEST thing about this farm was the small truck call Cider Belles selling freshly made cider donuts. We got six! Two maple, two plain and two sugered. $5 They are still hot when you get them.
