This review is for Justin, who works in the sales dept…read more As a new rider, I came in last month to inquire about a new Nightster. Justin greeted me and informed me that a new model was not on the floor that particular day but he took me in the back of the shop where his guys were preparing a new Nighterster that was just purchased from another customer. He didn't have to do that. He took the time to show me all the features of the bike, answered all my question and didn't rush me or press me at all. We went back to his office and discussed some numbers which were very good, actually. He kept in touch with me and I felt very comfortable with him and Bartels. It doesn't matter your riding experience level or the cost of the bike. You're treated with respect and equal. If you go here, ask for Justin. You'll get a good deal.

Hello, Everything went great renting the "DMV" Honda Rebel,…read moreUNTIL I got to the DMV. The motorcycle had paper plates. This took me 2 EXTRA HOURS at the DMV begging. It is my only day off, I paid for a babysitter, AND a motorcycle rental. The DMV employees told me that they had warned you guys multiple times about this! I would be way more irate than I already am, if I had not gotten my license today. Your failing to acknowledge/mention sending me to the DMV on your "DMV motorcycle" rental that isn't legal (said the DMV employee). 2 extra hours of my life, and not even a break on the price when I returned the motorcycle. Sweet customer service, and keep up the good work! I would be embarrassed if I were you. The whole "I'll ask, but I dont think I can do anything" isn't really acceptable after placing me in that position! Just act like you care? Never Again, Justin Besemer

As far as bike is concerned, unless you have experience on a 1000lbs bike remember with pillion, full bags and full tank of fuel it's a REAL HANDFUL at low speed, especially with the foot boards that force you to tilt bike over further and also has other terrible ergonomics in general. If your coming off a Japanese or European 500lbs bike, I ride a Triumph Speedmaster, this thing could ruin your weekend !! If you're 6'6" and 300lbs or just have experience with these, you might be OK ! Otherwise, I'm 5'8" 200lbs, wife ~similar, full bags, tank, I'd recommend maybe a heritage classic or similar .. Hope this helps

I cannot say enough good things about Ride Free Tours! Our convertible rental with a different…read morecompany fell through ONE WEEK before our Route 66 trip, which we had been planning for a year. We had a confirmation in January with Enterprise, but a week before the start of our trip, we found out that they did NOT have our reservation, and the original company could not come through for us. They recommended Wil at Ride Free Tours and within a few days, Wil had us the convertible that we wanted!! He worked some magic that no other company was able to do. I don't know how he did it, but he is definitely an expert at making things happen! And without breaking the bank. His communication was top-notch, giving us confidence that he was staying on top of our reservation and it came off without a hitch. I would definitely use Ride Free Tours again and hope to some day.

I rode Route 66 in May 2022 and later the Pacific Coast Highway with Ride Free, and both trips…read moreremain among the best adventures I have been on. From a practical standpoint, Ride Free are exceptional. Wil seems to know the roads of the United States the way most people know their local commute. Not just the famous highways, but the right roads, the ones that offer unforgettable views and lead you to small local places you'd never find on your own. His knowledge is encyclopaedic, and it will show when he designs your route. Erin runs operations, accommodation, logistics, pacing are all handled from long experience. Everything is tailored. I wanted small, backwater towns and characterful places to stay rather than major cities, and that's exactly what I got. If you want big cities and landmarks instead, they can do that too. Ride Free can cater just as easily for groups or individuals. I chose to ride alone, deliberately, because it made it easier to talk to locals at each stop and really absorb the places I passed through. Equally, if you want to take on an adventure with your mates -- riding together, sharing the experience, they cater for that just as well. When it comes to the bikes, Wil is first and foremost an experienced rider himself and leads some of the tours. He understands what works over long days in the saddle and will recommend an ideal bike for your trip or source exactly what you want if you have something specific in mind. What I didn't expect was that one of these trips would end up meaning far more to me than "just" a ride. Because of the timing and planning around Route 66, I happened to be in New York immediately beforehand where I met the woman who is now my wife. That part wasn't planned, of course, but Ride Free quite literally set the conditions for it to happen. I suspect they don't often get credited with marriages, but this one belongs on the list. I'll be back for more trips in the future. Ride Free understands bikes, America, and adventures. Finally, if you do end up on Route 66 traveling through Arizona on the way to Nevada, you may find yourself on the Sitgreaves Pass. Near Oatman If you do then stop at the highest point of this winding mountain pass. It's not visible from the road but try to find the cowboy graveyard that I stumbled upon.

Practically zero traffic except on the way back to the clubhouse at the end of the day. Complimentary breakfast and lunch added bonus. I was worried that we would be going 50 maaaaaaybe 60 max at some points. I was wrong. Our pace car was fantastic! I hit 80 or 90 in every single car I think. Merging onto PCH in the GTR was probably the fastest I went all day but throughout the twists and turns of Canyon roads we would hit nice straightaways and always go pedal to medal a few times in every car. The ONLY complaint I would have about this place was actually booking the date to do the tour. I originally bought the package back in Novemeber and they scheduled me for a tour in late November that got cancelled last minute. Then they did the same thing in December. So I was pretty upset. They gave me a free passenger (usually a $250 additional fee) so I took my buddy with me. The lineup of cars were awesome! The roads were awesome! The guides were awesome! The weather was awesome! Extremely little traffic. It was an amazing time, I already want to do it again next year. I would warn anyone who can't drive manual to either learn or talk with the rep before you go on a tour because their fleet of cars consists of both manual and automatic transmissions. One of the guys in my group couldn't drive stick so he only drove 4 of the cars on the tour.
