I visited Nathan on the recommendation of a friend when I was at my wit's end with my low back pain. I had been to a doctor, physical therapy, had MRI's done and had a very painful visit to a chiropractor. No one could help me other than to prescribe drugs that masked the pain (and made it hard to function). After a year of pain I'm finally feeling good! I have been seeing Nathan regularly and it's the only thing that has helped my back. He has magic hands (I'm convinced) and is able to work on spots that are painful to the touch when he starts and he can use good pressure on when he's done. I have to admit that I have been receiving massages from Nathan since he was first out of school, so I am a bit biased. With that being said, Nathan took my early criticism and learned from it, getting better and better each time. He has grown into one of the best therapists that I go to. I just moved to the area, sites like Yelp are wonderful for new comers to learn about the community and services needed or wanted. Two days ago I tweeked a muscle in my lower back from shoveling snow and horse manure. I have been in pain and very uncomfortable.( I am a person who gets regular massage but did not know of a place in this area). Was doing 2 a day workouts for the month I was in Ogden, finally decided to get a sports massage to help relieve some of the damage. Nathan was very professional and an talented masseuse. Not only is the price more than affordable, but the quality is impressive to say the least. I booked a couple's massage and was a little disappointed with the appointment. The older business suite that Just Massage is located in is not very professional looking or calming. I had made sure to tell the receptionist when I booked our appointment that I was pregnant and asked if that would be okay. She said that it would be no problem. I was a little surprised when the therapists asked us to lie on our stomachs. I mentioned that I couldn't because of my pregnancy (which I guess was not very obvious). They seemed surprised and a bit taken aback. Accommodations were quickly made and there was a last minute switch in therapists, but I felt awkward about it the entire time and was not very comfortable. The overall massage was fine, nothing great, nothing bad. I didn't feel the sort of relief that I have felt with other massages, and this was especially disappointing since my pregnancy had been causing me a lot of back pain. Our appointment also started 15 minutes late, even when we arrived 10 minutes early, so our 60 minutes was cut down to only 45. This was recognized by Nate afterwards and he gave us a gift certificate for a free couples massage which was a very nice and greatly appreciated gesture. However, we will probably not return to use it. On a good note, the staff was friendly. read more
