I started my journey with MOTIV PT and Dr Alex this past December. I had a total knee replacement ( R knee) 4 years ago and had been dealing with a tight right hamstring and IT band ever since. I developed knee pain and weakness especially going up stairs and hills walking my dog or carrying a basket of laundry of the stairs. Dr Alex did an assessment (virtual) and then sent me 3 exercises to do everyday . We would meet virtually every two to three weeks and I had my last meeting yesterday . I have regained my strength in my right leg and have no knee pain . This is not your regular PT Dr Alex was very kind, and really listened to my concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Alex & MOTIV PT. After failed attempts at PT for various injuries in the past, I cringed when my doctor suggested it as a course of action to aid in recovery from a herniated disk. After a consultation with Dr. Alex and the first week of utilizing the app and the personalized home exercise program, I was a believer. Not only did Dr. Alex help with my current injury but also as part of that initial appointment we discussed prior injuries and goals or desired outcomes from our work together. My program was then individualized to my needs, and the videos were informative, fun and entertaining - with modifications covered for varying levels of ability. The app was easy to use and I liked the daily reminders and ability to 'check off' my exercises for the day for accountability. Any questions or concerns were able to be promptly addressed by messaging with Dr. Alex through the app - which also made it easy to schedule virtual check-ins to review progress and adjust as needed. Another differentiator is the flexibility it provided in that I chose when to fit it in to my day. No need to try and juggle appointments or have to leave work mid-day or worry about scheduling conflicts to get it done. PT went from something I dreaded to something I looked forward to each day because of the improvement I was feeling.
