Filled with simple fashions for men, women and children - the only interesting thing about it is it's name. Inside, women will find unflattering branded t-shirts, unsexy fleeceds and unattractive footwear. The men's section is not quite as bad, but just as uninspiring. I wouldn't mind, but it is so pricey to shop here (around £50 for a fleece!) In fairness, this shop is more about practicality than fashion, but for these prices I'd rather have the best of both worlds.

Like other stores in this guise, it's not the cheapest of places to get clothing, but I'd say this is a little easier on the wallet when compared to Quicksilver and Animal, etc. I guess, though, as Jenni says, it's just not all that inspiring in here, so you usually come away with something that you've spent a lot on and don't like all that much.

The store however often feels slightly uninviting, I can't help but feel this is mainly due to the layout of the store and there are a lot of clothes for such a confined space. Access for prams and buggies is difficult when you take into account this store is aimed at children of that age. In saying this it has a wide selection cloths and staff who are always willing to help.

As we tour this 'green and pleasant land' we suss out M&S cafes for coffee. They are our trusted go to brand at home. The staff - just like here in this store in Bath centre - are mega polite, the cafe tables are kept clean (not Starbucks greatest strength) the coffee is darn good, there's always toilets and if you are there after 3pm there's a coffee and cake deal running now with any coffee and a slice of cake £3. I got a slice of delicious Victoria sponge with my cappuccino and they cheerfully served up iced tap water that was not only free but it was plentiful too. The coffee and cake deal after 3pm is cheaper than a tall cappuccino in Starbucks too. We noticed too that M&S is now selling other brands like Clarke's, Smiggle and Jaeger. There are two fundamental truths in business - the only constant is change and customers make pay days. Go M&S.

I found myself in mamas and papas at the weekend looking for a gift for a newborn baby…read more I have bought a few sale items from there previously so knew it wasn't cheap but was still quite shocked at just how expensive some things were! The baby clothes all look really cute and stylish, they even had little flat cap hats that were adorable but you have to wonder why someone would spend that much on items that a child will grow out of in a matter of months. My son grew out of his 0-3m clothes in about 6 weeks! There were beautiful little outfits that were £45+ each!! A mere onesie cost £25+... Considering I didn't really want to spend more than £20 my options were very limited. I did end up having a quick look in Mothercare but the style and quality didn't compare. I did find a lovely gift in the end but still came away thinking everything was a bit of a rip off!

I really love this store and they know how to treat their customers…read more They have excellent sales and will gift wrap items in beautiful boxes at no extra charge, even if it's just a pair of booties. Great place to arrange a gift list for all expectant mothers and they don't just stock the bog standard pink, blues and yellows you will see in other well known children's stores.
