Something there is that loves a vacation town rock shop ... I feel a little sorry for the nice ladies who run this place, with various spiritual and Wiccan items. But to my children this place is an amazing treasured purveyor of beautiful rocks - a place they will root through various little cravable beautiful stones, gems, and carvings. A place they would rather go to blow their walking-around money than even the toy store. We could easily go four times in a one week vacation, crossing our fingers and hoping each time the credit card machine works. This may not be the target clientele of Mother Moon but they are friendly and patient and treat our children well, and that is all we could ask. read more

My not-so-little-anymore (aka-14yo) cousin has recently begun collecting crystals and rocks, and she was PSYCHED to see Mother Moon during one of our many trips into Uncommon Coffee while in town one weekend. I had seen the storefront many, many times over my years coming to town but had never gone inside so I popped in with her. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. They're a teeny shop but they have a really wonderfully curated collection of crystals and rocks, both small and some as big as the whole of your hand. There's also a fairly large selection of incense and oils, jewelry and decorative objects, books, and even a small amount of clothing. My cousin recently participated in her first craft fair selling her handmade jewelry and she dropped a nice chunk of her earnings here on some really beautiful stones for her collection! If you're into the metaphysical or just want some lovely things to smell or look at, be sure to pop in and visit them! I will definitely make it a point to stop in and visit every time I'm in town from now on. read more

Cute shop on the left side of Uncommon Coffee Roasters. It's easy to miss so keep your eyes open because it's very small. There is one wonderful woman who runs the place who is ALWAYS willing to answer all your questions and I'm a nerd and enjoy learning what she knows and has to say about the gems and crystals in her place. The store is not very organized but I think that's the fun in finding something special that is hidden or catches your eye. Very mystical and smells like incense. I visit as often as I can and have a hard time not buying something hehe. Debit/Credit cards are accepted. read more

I would have gave a zero if possible! This shop states "dog friendly ". Walked into the shop for over a minute the lady at the cash register did not say Hi or welcome-kept telling us that if our dog breaks anything that we will have to buy it- ok we said we understood BUT no she just continued and continued until we just finally left!!! I even did tell her that is fine- he is actually a service dog and was plastered to my leg. The worst treat I have ever received EVER at a shop and especially in a "metaphysical" shop! read more

Love this store! I found it by accident on my recent trip to Saugatuck. I was actually getting coffee next store when I spotted it. I found that everything was affordably priced and that the clerk was happy to answer any questions. There's literally stuff everywhere so make sure you make at least a few laps around the store, you don't want to miss anything!! read more

Mother Moon is an INCREDIBLE shop for anyone who practices or is interested in new age spirituality or other 'alternative' religions. Not to mention it is one of the only stores of its kind in the west michigan area. Although it is a very small place, they have an incredibly wide range of products including incense, crystals, jewelry, tarot / oracle cards, candles, essential oils, statuary, and many, many books plus A LOT more. I always find something different every time that I go in! The prices are decent, although some items may seem pricey the quality is incredible and well-worth the cost. Holly, the owner, is an expert on everything in her store and offers a number of different services for her customers from natal charts to tarot readings. She, and the other staff members who manage the store in her absence, are always ready and willing to answer your questions, suggest items that may be right for you or just chat, regardless of whether or not you're intending on buying something.
