It's conveniently…read morelocated right in the middle of everything including but not limited to Andador Turistico, Santo Domingo church, and the Zocalo (main square). There's a courtyard in the middle that contains a restaurant. There was complimentary breakfast during our stay here and the food was actually pretty good; I especially liked the chilaquiles. There's also a rooftop terrace with a small pool. Note that there are no elevators so you will have to carry your luggage up the few floors. Because it's on the Andador Turistico area and Calle Macedonia Alcala, one of the intersections is pedestrian only which is convenient. The other intersection has a decent amount of cars and noise but not too much. Note that they do not allow visitors after 11pm and they close the front door after a certain point in the evening and you have to ring the bell to enter at night. It was really interesting to be in the calm and quiet of our room and then immediately walk out to the busy streets. However, it's a great hotel if you want to be in the center of everything.

The rooftop and pool are nice to relax at - Oaxaca is pretty hot during the day and that pool was cold! For breakfast I tried the enchiladas and chilaquiles, both were great and the fresh mandarin juice was amazing. I would definitely stay here if visiting Oaxaca again!

As a traveler you worry about security I loved and felt secured knowing the hotel offered around the clock security staff on the premises. The lobby was inviting with a friendly staff at the registration counter, snacks and a small area that offers those little items we need to replenish and medicinal items we may need while traveling. We attended a fair in town and would arrive in the early morning hours and always found parking , security and staff ready to assist . Safety for me is of the utmost importance while traveling abroad. It is located conveniently off a main highway so access in and out of town is great. Taxis are readily available as well. The gem of the hotel is a fabulous restaurant on sight . La Carreta Restaurant the menu is divine it offers everything. The food was authentic and amazing. Another perk is the hotel offers room service as well. The dishes we sampled were many. It does not disappoint. Although we ate in town our go to spot was The Carreta. Pastries were amazing as well as the fresh squeezed aguas they prepare. The staff service at Hotel Casa Blanca will not disappoint. Things to consider: They do not do online reservations so call the hotel directly 5320979 if calling from US 011529535320979 No need to worry about carrying cash they accept credit card Just a few minutes away from the zocalo in town . Quite easy to take a cab. Uber is not available but taxis are available everywhere around town . Also you can ask at the front desk for a business in town that offers rides in an inviting charter style Mercedes Benz Van that van take you to the City of Oaxaca or day trips near Huajuapan for a very very inexpensive fee. You can sit back , watch a movie and I. no time arrive at another destination. Vans come and go every 1/2 and hour. If you are heat sensitive as for a room with Ac not all have them. My family of 5 did well with a booking of 2 rooms during our stay.

We were all planning on staying at Quinta Real. We had booked transportation, restaurants, tours, tastings, a full four day itinerary that we had spent months crafting to try and make perfect for this very special occassion in a very special city. This was all upended when bad weather rerouted our flight, missing our connection, with no viable options to rebook an entire group of 10 people in time to enjoy the trip. My wife was devastated, in tears, the trip she had been looking forward to all year completely ruined at no fault of her own. I called to see what Quinta Real could honor our reservation by booking a different date, a credit, a discount, or ANYTHING to ease the pain. We wanted to come back (and we will be, just not with this hotel), and we wanted to continue working with Quinta Real to make this mutually beneficial for both parties. Instead, they could not care less and are keeping the entire thing, four nights to the tune of thousands of dollars in exchange for not having to lift a finger to do anything for 10 guests now. Most important of all, however, is the lack of any professionalism, sympathy, politeness, or kind words under these special circumstances--they simply don't care. The human element of compassion is what I care about when I consider or recommend a place. I do not recommend Quinta Real--they have shown that they lack this element when it matters most.

Our family and friends were blown away by the service, the rooms were beautiful and everyone was so accommodating. It was a dream to stay at Quinta Real, it costs significantly more than other places in town, but it's a luxurious and beautiful experience. Yadira did our wedding and she is the very best!
