Well, for STARTERS I was expecting a nice welcoming room that just says "hello!" But did I get that? Hell.no. It was unkept! There was bugs! The employee was in denial! And also! Why that shade of wall paint? Not really necessary but it was off putting. Felt like I was gonna be in a Netflix original.

Where to even start. My family of 4 booked this hotel for a almost 4wk stay due to relocating to the area for my husband's work. So we wanted something that would allow dogs & not cost a ton while looking for housing. Apparently that was the wrong thing to be worried about. On our 2nd or 3rd day there, I was verbally attacked by another guest of the hotel while out walking our dogs with our kids. I was alone with them as my husband was at work. After yelling at the man to leave us alone & not getting any assistance from the motel staff that was apparently standing around the corner from us, we went back to our room, only to receive a phone call from the front desk stating that I would be forcibly removed by the police if I wanted to continue to attack other guests! She didn't ask what happened or why I was yelling at the man, only stated I would be taken away, even after telling her I didn't start the ordeal & was out there with my kids being attacked... she then tried to tell me no one was attacking my children & she saw everything on her cameras... I guarantee she didn't hear anything that was being said to us. The man was not removed & proceeded to sit in his vehicle for our entire stay on a daily basis, just watching everything we did. The only reason we didn't move out that day was because of other hotel availability & the options available for people with more than 2 dogs for long term stays. Now on to the "quality" of the room.... Also lacking. Even the faux wood floors were separated & would catch the bottom of your feet if you weren't thinking about it. The shower stall was barely large enough for my 7yr old to shower properly, if you turned around in it, the shower curtain would flop over the edge of the shower & start to flood the room. The towels that were in the room had hair all over them, we ended up digging our own out of our packed boxes to use since you couldn't guarantee we could get new ones even every other day... even after calling ahead like we were told to do. I also ended up buying our own toilet paper to have on hand because each time I went to get more I was told we were only allowed one roll at a time.... For a room with 4 people in it?! No thanks. In general the room was just tiny & not as pictured online. (Definitely under 200sqft). We had to also screw the top lock back onto the door. Oh and we also had to buy extra pillows to use when we realized one of our sets got left in a storage unit 5hrs away & the motel was unable to provide any spares. There's not even a coffee maker provided & the fridge was beyond tiny. I could continue, but bottom line, if you plan to stay more than a night or 2, don't bother. And be aware that there are some extremely questionable people staying in the hotel on a regular basis.

I stayed at the 2nd location across the street with the truck parking. So let's get started. Cons: no microwave No coffee maker No fridge No alarm clock No ac/heater unit Hair on bed/pillows/sheets You can hear everything outside your door. Like the freeway and traffic etc. Some rooms smell like smoke Some rooms with a joining doors, you can hear the TV loudly No shampoo or lotion Towels scratchy and thin and small Across from strip club Big rigs park there too and idle Pros: bed is pretty comfy Close to a bunch of restaurants and grocery store and shopping center Cable is good. That's it!!

If you look at the reviews from different websites, you will see the OWNER replying to any negative feedback like a child-Telling customers they are "liars' in writing! Who does that? If your an owner, you should portray yourself as a professional with thoughtful replies. Breakfast was a huge FLOP, too. Food was cold-No warm plates for any of the items. Bacon was paper-"PAPER", thin and overcooked. The food lacked quality and taste-Something you'd get out of a RAN DOWN gas station where the food tastes a week old. Besides the mold, the other EXTREMELY unpleasant part of it was, the manager, "Jamie," refused to speak with me the day I checked in over a reservation issue. Instead, I had to deal with her cold/callous, front desk lady informing me the owner does not communicate with the guests. I caught her a few different times rolling her eyes at me and just had the most condescending tone in every time I would try and ask her a question (i.e.; "How come the manager will not speak with me over the phone? Can I at least request for her to call me directly?). Always met with a rude and short, "NO" by her. I also asked the front desk since I already prepaid for a reservation thru a 3rd party for the room with the whirlpool bathtub (Their system showed 3rd party canceling that specific room by mistake and instead, put me in a room without the whirlpool), I asked if the owner could simply refund the $30.00 as a courtesy for the 3rd parties mistake of placing me in a downgraded room by their system mistake. Again, stern "No-Owner does not refund when booked thru third party." I spent several hours trying to get the 3rd party on the line in their lobby and the front desk woman just stood there and doing asolutely nothing but giving me sneering looks the entire wait. I was allowed to email Jamie the day of check in but no reply whatsoever from her. Jamie had no problem typing the front desk in chat; however. It wasn't until I emailed corporate the next day until the owner actually "dealt" with me and the issue. Probably helped I showed the CEO these pictures in the email to get her attention. People, PLEASE, never go here! Do not trust overall STAR RATING-I dismissed any negative reviews and not actually reading them and instead, trusted the overall stars- BIG MISTAKE.

On our 2nd night Jamie refused to extend our stay even though it was a non-refundable booking made online. She very rudely told me to "get out immediately" which was so confusing since we are quiet professionals in our 50's, and I had explained our situation. Our house caught on fire, we did not take the time to grab a physical credit card on the way out. We needed emergency accommodation. I explained this to her, and showed her that the security deposit from the night before had been received. She said she was going to discipline that employee for allowing us to stay! The payment method is clearly stated on the website, the hotel accepts tap and Apple Pay, but Jamie does not. I can see several other people have complained about Jamie before, she enjoys being apathetic towards people, and making difficult situations worse. The owner obviously doesn't care that their manager treats people poorly, I can see on here years of complaints against her. There were only 4 other cars in the parking lot which we thought was strange at the time, but now we know why that place was a ghost town.

Located right next to Bridgeport Village mall it was safe clean central to many different activities for my family. The staff was great from beginning to end. For the price you can't beat it and it was simply amazing and I'm so glad we booked the deluxe king suite. The breakfast buffet included a wide array of choices and perfect for any traveler whether it's for business or leisure. There was also a silent auction going on in the beautifully crafted lobby with autographed pictures of celebrities and athletes to support cancer research. 10/10 overall would highly recommend and will make sure to stay here again on the next visit!

There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi that we opted not to use, because there were just too many kids, but it was ok. It was Father's Day. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. The beds were soft for my liking, but not uncomfortable. I just like a firmer mattress. The bathroom was large with a nice sized tub and separate shower. Taking a nice warm bath was relaxing! Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast buffet. Fresh fruit, pastries, cereal selection, eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, English muffins, oatmeal...and more! They did a good job keeping it stocked, even up to closing time for the late stragglers. I would whole heartedly recommend The Grand Hotel. It's located in a nice area with plenty of shopping and things to do. An excellent stay, for sure.

The loveseat in my room may have been used one too many times based on its namesake, so the pleather is piled and has holes. The staff tried to cover it up, but the couch cover is also looking old and ratty. I've seen nicer couches in fraternity houses back in college. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with a high pitch sound emitting from the refrigerator. I was able to move it around so that it wasn't so loud, but I was tempted to unplug it entirely so that I didn't have to listen to that noise all night. The staff here were nice enough to put two bottles of free water in the room because we are Hilton Honors members. We also received two warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in. That was a nice touch. However, if I had my choice, I would forgo the food and beverage for a quiet fridge and a newer couch. November in Oregon is beautiful. The leaves are changing colors. We have a lovely tree showing off leaves of red and gold just outside our window. Sadly, we also overlook a busy road. The traffic is quite noisy, especially for a Saturday afternoon. Thankfully it settled down during the night so we were able to get some rest. The hotel serves a hot breakfast but it is NOT included with the room. The breakfast is $15 per adult per day. It is the equivalent of what you would get at a Best Western where the breakfast IS included at no extra cost. The buffet includes hit items like bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, a small omelette, potato wedges, biscuits and gravy. There is also a waffle machine where you can make your own waffle in less than 3 minutes. There are a variety of breads and a toaster. The mini fridge has butter and cream cheese. I especially loved that they had a variety of freshly cut fruit each day including strawberries, blueberries, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon. A bowl of delicious nonfat yogurt was available in the fruit tray as well. If you are in a hurry, you could also grab an apple and/or and orange for the road. The breakfast hours vary slightly between the weekend and weekdays, but they will tell you at checkin and there is a sign posted with the information at the entrance of the dining room. There are restaurants and stores nearby. You can walk, but we carpooled with friends when going out. I think there was a daily parking fee too. They nickel and dine you for everything here. Although our stay was pleasant enough, I would not choose this hotel again. Best Western is the same mediocre quality, but everything is usually included in the cost of the room.

We arrived late, close to midnight, as the sign states to ring the bell for entry and this is what we did. The only front desk staff working that night ( Saturday 10/28/23, strong Filipino or Indian accent) gave us the look as we are bothering her. She is in the back doing not sure what, She was not the friendliest. No smile, no thank you, where is the customer service?!. We felt rushed at check in. Normally at check in I am informed of Marriott gift due to my Platinum status, I asked and she then mentioned that she put 500 Marriott points in my account. It would be nice to know this with out asking, I don't think this staff likes us because we went back down to front lobby for some other things and I get that vibe from her. First it was late, long flight, and needed to get sleep since we got a busy day ahead. Yelp, this made the front desk staff irritated even more we had to hurry and get back to our room. The room was small for a Fairfield Inn, notes- renovations are going on at this Marriott. No charge for parking and there is breakfast which is great. Main thing we got a great night sleep & breakfast/coffee in, all refreshed and ready to start our adventures. The staff at check out was super friendly. Big difference from when we checked in. I hope to not have to encounter this one employee if I check in at this hotel again. All in all, our stay was great just that one staff member's needs to work on customer service skills.
