This location is better than some of the others I stayed at. Although I know the ones that offer smoking rooms mix together the bedding from every room and instead of changing rooms where it could be the same I just fabreezed the bedding. The places that have smoking rooms should separate the bedding they either use soap without a scent or no soap at all to hide the smell. Even the shower curtains smell. Over all I did enjoy my stay(s) when I stayed here. read more

"The One Star Gas Light Express" Giving one star is quite generous. I would recommend not booking here. I have had more than a couple stays here. All of them came with invasion of privacy for free. They will enter your room at any time and play it off on cleaning but they don't always clean so I'll leave it to your imagination why they would do that. They will enter your room to clean when you have told them not to. I came back to find them in my room after we came back from breakfast and the girl was standing over my bed not making it. Came back and the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Their key cards do not work and require several trips to the front desk and they still don't work. They will tell you it's based on "your electronics" but if you look at the key card mag stripes electronic strips they are worn from overuse. They need to replace their cards and the batteries in their doors and also okay the cards for the right number of days as per the reservation. Their front desk is a mixed experience. Rianna the Front Desk agent that was working at night on Dec 18 2025 should not do customer service. She stated," She does not have to wear a name tag." (But she was the only one from this location not wearing one, go figure.) She comes off angry and not caring at all. If you bring issues to her she will lie to you and gaslight you and tell you they don't exist. I told her about the issues; she lied about it. She pretended to know rather than saying, "I don't know." When I said," I will talk to your supervisor," she said,"You are rude and are not welcome back." I said in a calm but firm voice ,"My dog is in a hot car because you've made me do two trips to the office on a second night stay after having all of my other issues with you." Couldn't activate the key cards right. But she denied repeatedly that there were issues and blamed it on me as the guest. Then, required me to make 2 trips back and forth to my room while my dog was getting hot and upset in our vehicle because we couldn't access our room. Our window air unit stopped working correctly mid day. They have weird foreign hairs in their showers because they don't clean thoroughly. Also rust stains painted over and mold coming thru the paint. My nose has been stuffy the whole time here. As much as they access your room or try to gain access to your room to do "room checks" under the guise of cleaning with very little cleaning done. Today for instance at 11am or slightly before which would have been a check out time. I was dozing off to an am nap and heard loud banging at the door which caused my dog to be startled and bark. I went to the door, peaked thru and declined room service. 40 minutes later as I was dozing off again, they attempted once again to enter the room. Loud knocking at door. Cue dog startled barking and once again I declined room service as I peaked thru the door. They continued to patrol outside my door back and forth for the next several hours and the only thing that kept them from trying to attempt entry again was my dog barking as they came close again. Mind you, room I was in is an end, and they have many empty rooms so it was unnecessary for them to patrol outside my room. Additionally, upon check in the first night the key cards to access the room barely worked it took "six or more" swipes with both 2 different cards each time after bringing luggage in from the car. Then, I received an odd call from the front desk inquiring," if everything was okay?" No motel 6 ever calls to check if you are okay. I let them know I was bringing my luggage in with my child and dog. They basically told me to "have a nice night." There are also cameras all over the property directly outside your room etc. Watching your move at all times so they can track you as a guest. There are also limited outlets to charge any of your devices. Some of their beds are broken as well from overuse and have not been replaced. I have been staying at Motel 6 Stanton,Ca. for 3 weeks. First off, my room that I booked a month before, specifically requesting a ground level room, was not available when I arrived. I was given a second floor room. I was told that they could possibly give me a ground level room the next day if I came to the front desk and requested it! I then was given a ground floor room the next day, which meant I had to move everything. I'm a 75 year old man. This is the 2nd time I stayed here; first time for 17 days, this time for 26+ days. Also, our room was not being cleaned every day, so by the second day we had to request this since we had to get clean towels. They finally started cleaning my room every day upon the second request to have this performed. We've had to request this 3 times during this stay. Now, my tv goes out and the maintenance man has left. My option was to transfer and move to another room, not the option of having someone fix the tv. I have been here 20 days already and they want me to move all of my things. I asked to speak to the manager, and after all 3 employees looked at each other, the "night manager" speaks up, said if I didn't like the option, I could leave and she would refund the remaining nights I prepaid. Is this considered good customer service? I will not return to this Motel 6 in Stanton, Ca. My advice for you is to find a motel that appreciates your business. Dirty with Bugs! We have stayed at Motel 6 locations before and our expectations are never too high but we have never had to deal with what were probably bed bugs or roaches as soon as we arrived. We smashed 2 and 2 more still appeared on the counter and between the bed sheets. The blanket also looked Dirty and had a pretty big cigarette burn hole on it. We were there for about 10 minutes and had to check out. We wish we could've gotten a gift card or credit to another Motel 6 but they said they couldn't do it so now we're short about $500 until the refund hits and we have to pay for another hotel. If I could put zero stars I would. Our door was jammed and difficult to get in and out of. Before leaving to get coffee after our first night there we found a roach crawling around our belongings. I went to the front desk and the young girl was very helpful and offered me a discount & a new room. She stated housekeeping would be in at 11:30 and start cleaning by 12. Around 12:45-1 I called the front desk to check on the status of my new room. The "manager" Myriam, Mary, or whatever fake name she wants to use cut me off and says "I'm booked. I'm not giving you a room" I explained the situation to her and what I was promised. She then puts me on hold to verify this and then picks up again and says "ok....I don't have anything now I'll call you later" I explained to her that I didn't feel comfortable staying in this roach infested room with a broken door & she said oh well. I told her if a room wasn't provided I'd need a refund & she says "great come downstairs and get your refund so you can leave" I recorded our entire 10 minute conversation. See Myriam wanted to talk crazy over the phone but put the responsibility on her employee when I was present in the lobby. I asked for her name & she tried to scribble it in cursive. I asked for it to be printed and she said "not my fault you can't read" I have ALL of this recorded. You may have been able to get away with this behavior in the past but it won't last for much longer. We got our refund and left. If you need a hotel in the area literally anything is better than this place! We chose the Sheraton friendly, clean & no roaches in the room. read more

This is my worst experience to stay outside my home!! We reserved to stay there for 2 weeks and when we arrived the tap of the bathroom sink wasn't working good, it only had very hot water and they fixed it next day after we asked. There wasn't a fridge in the room and we have kids for 2 weeks so any food we took to the room we had to throw it in the trash! When we asked them for a room with a fridge the said the rooms with fridge goes to the people who just stay for the weekend!!! No cleaning for the room for 2 weeks!! And when we asked for cleaning they refused and gave us change of towels and bed sheets, change it for ourselves!!! Motel 6 nightmare DO NOT STAY HERE. First impression: Lots of sketchy people, a very weird feeling being here. Motel 6 is known for having a problem with human trafficking. So coming here I was very weary. Even though I booked this place for a huge discount on a 3rd party site, ($80/night), I would MUCH rather pay the extra $50-$100 a night to feel safe and clean. Don't got me started, first off, theres LOTS of sketchy people here. They allow dogs here, you will HEAR BARKING THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. THE WALLS ARE VERY THIN. YOU CAN HEAR PEOPLE CLOSING THEIR DOORS, PEOPLE STARTING THEIR CARS AND ALSO PEOPLE DRIVING PAST THE ROAD ALL THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. It was very hard to sleep. OUR ROOM WAS INFESTED WITH ANTS AND COCKROACHES. The worst part, I was surprised when we had "housekeeping" and got "new" towels, BUT MY GIRLFRIEND WAS CLEANING HER FACE AFTER A SHOWER AND FOUND THAT THE TOWEL SHE HAD USED HAS BLACK STAINS ON IT AS IF THE HOUSEKEEPER PUT THE FLOOR TOWEL BACK ON THE RACK. It sucks staying at a place you do not feel comfortable in let alone feel safe in. Always on edge if someone might try to break in, or if theres any hidden cameras around. (PLEASE CHECK). We had to cover a few things with a towel that didn't feel right, like a mirror GLUED to the wall, and other things that we weren't 100% sure was safe. My boyfriend and I had been coming down all the way from San Francisco, and it was at 3 AM we came across this motel 6. Were not picky people, tbh, but like this was bad. It was so dirty and smelled nasty in our room. I felt like I had to take a shower from my shower. The drain was clogged with small bugs and black substance. There was something that looked like puke on the side... and as I woke up i found a big spider in my bed... I. Hate. Spiders. But I'm more upset about the cleanliness than the spider- nature happens. If I could give NO stars I would. I am very disappointed with Motel 6 in Stanton. I checked in on Thursday July 22. Just upon arrival I could see the Motel was a mess. There was dirt everywhere. The room I was assigned too had dead tiny flies on the walls. The towels had hair all over them and whoever was staying up above me was making so much noise. It was like someone above me was moving furniture. Non stop for over two hours. The only reason I did not call t he office was because I was told they were booked and had no rooms. I am attending a funeral here in Orange County and drove from far. I needed all the rest I can get. I paid for 3 nights in advance. The next morning when I walked out of the room to get something to eat, the whole stairway was blocked with trash bags full of cans that belongs to someone staying at the motel. He said hi to me and said excuse the mess I collect cans. I looked around and I seen 3 people sitting on t her floor to find out they were homeless and just sitting there. Then I walked to the parking lot and there was sn old man dead asleep in his vehicle with both his doors open. He was knocked out in his car. I left the property and came back in the evening to find the same old man asleep in his car and also two more homeless people at the pool with their luggage. I went to sleep that evening and it was so noisy. It was very hard to sleep. I am mourning the passing away of my mom and I couldn't fall asleep due to the noise in the parking lot and rooms above me. Anyhow, it's Saturday evening now and I will be checking out tomorrow. The old man is still asleep I'm HOS vehicle with HOS doors open. The other two homeless people are sitting on the stairs close to my room. I took a walk around the property and the trash area is loaded with trash spilling all over. The gates were left open and it's a very bad view. Basically, the room was dirty, there are homeless people staying on the property, trash everywhere and people who checked out or can't pay for their rooms sitting all around the motel. Even by the office you could find homeless people with their luggage laying down under the front office window. This place looks so scary and I did not feel safe or relaxed being here. Everyone I went out I would see homeless people everywhere, trash all over, people sleeping on their cars and very bad smell. I don't recommend this Motel 6 to anyone's. It's very dirty, noisy, unsafe and homeless people all over. I will be contacting corporate regarding my stay here. I paid $100 a night. The room was dirty, noisy, I couldn't sleep for two nights with one night left. I didn't feel safe going out of the room with homeless people all around. I feel like I was ripped off and this really makes me angry because I'm here to attend a funeral and needed to mourn and rest but yet it was impossible to sleep due to the noise on top of me and didn't feel safe going in and out due to the homeless people hanging out on the stairs, by the pool and in the parking lots. This is very unfair that I paid good money to be able to test but it didn't happen and I feel so tired on my second night here and one night before checking out. I will contact corporate to file a complaint once I get back home. I don't think I should have to go through this. I've posted few pics. read more

This hotel was a god send. I booked a room with 2 double beds, and I went through an app. The app messed up and during the whole ordeal, all of the staff were friendly and patient and so incredibly nice. They helped to diffuse any frustration and helped solve problems caused but the app mess up. Warning! The so called homeless population that lives around the Jack in the Box on the other side of the fence is really pushy, and they park their stolen cars at the Motel 6. Do NOT stay here unarmed! Police frequents the hotel but would need to be stationed here permanently. Also they cut costs to the extreme when it comes to everything. No real pillows, no blackout curtain, no housekeeping on multi day visits, no shampoo just soap bars, just a single towel pp, only half a roll of toilet paper, toilet door out of alignment (does not stay shut). Crap motel and garbage customer service. I had to continuously ask for basics like towels and toiletries. Don't expect room service before 5-6pm. By the third or forth day of having to ask for new towels and only getting them in the evening I complained. The next morning I was told that my reservation cannot be honored due to an incident (they wouldn't say what it was but I assume it was me complaining about not getting the basics -towels/toiletries) and I had three hours to check out/find new accommodations.
