This is a good motel 6 and has better reviews than others I've looked at. The room was clean. Front desk check in friendly. Coffee and tea service in the morning. Of course the room is spartan and no carpet, which is good when pets are allowed, as is the case at all motel 6. Worth the $50. read more

Staff was excellent. Room was adequately clean. Rates have just gone up to $109. Not sure good bang for buck. Everything needs updated. Problem #1 Contractors had almost taken entire motel. They Partied outside around their vehicles, loudly, loud music, obscenities, arguing amongst other guests. Loud pick up engines started and revved every few minutes, to keep their battieries charged I suspect. Crowd would gather, more loud voices from other guests. I ASSUMED somebody would have called office. By 10 p.m. I had had enough and called myself. It was immediately taken care of, HOWEVER, they simply moved their vehicle 20 yards away... across from our room, and resumed. I spoke with personal in office next a.m. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT CALLED. These customers are a yearly, large customer, for 2-3 weeks, I was told. The lack of consideration made me afraid to speak to them. 2. Whatever deodorizer is used in the rooms is obnoxious at best. sinuses were plugged all night. Bedding too small, for double bed? Disgusting. The room smelled like bleach at first, but when we returned a couple hrs later, the musty smell took over. We didn't dare put anything on the floor & felt dirty the whole time. The hotel has several "residents" who've set up "patios" outside their rooms. My car had fingerprints on the windows & frames like someone was attempting to prowl overnight. Noticed the employees hanging out in the parking lot smoking a lot. Maybe they should be cleaning more instead. Yes, it's a low budget motel, but a little effort will help. I've stayed here before for concerts at Ridgefield & it was always pleasant minus the pool being shut down for years. Never, again. I am in a wheelchair and have an inability to transfer out of it. I made a reservation for July 3, 2025. It was very excited to see some family from out of I put in the part of the reservation that I was a wheelchair so they were aware that I would need a handicap accessible room when I arrived at the hotel however, I discovered there was a 2 inch lip to get into the room, which made it impossible because of my disability to stay there when into the office after they had already taken my money off my card and explain to the lady why I couldn't in the hotel instead of offering me a solution and being sympathetic to a situation that was clearly not my fault and a violation of ADA laws because if you claim that a room handicap accessible, and there is absolutely no way for a handicap a wheelchair to get into it. It's handicap then me that the bathroom inside the room was handicap now I ask you what good handicap I can't get into the room she then tells me that I can get a refund and they my reservation, but the refund will not arrive for 5 to 6 business want a low income and that money was all I had to try to get another hotel was very dismissive and I will never stay at a motel six again this one or otherwise and anybody that reads this review that has anything to do with any attorneys or situations might need to look at at the motel six thank you very much. read more

This is the worst stay I've had at any motel 6 ever! The housekeeper Joanna is completely outta pocket. Today after purchasing my room this morning at 8 am. I returned to my room after work at 330 pm. I still hadn't had my garbage taken out or clean towels stocked. I clean my own room as I am a housekeeper aswell. Just needed basic follow up. Not too hard correct? Upon arriving back and not having clean towels to shower after work I simply walk to the maid who's cart was outside a room a couple doors down and asked for a few cleans towels. Joanna, the maid responded with a foot stomp, stated I wasn't on her list and she'll get me some towels. When she dropped the towels off she threw them at me and pointed at the trash, she stated " and the garbage can is down there, take your own fucking trash out". After that comment, I can't deny I did say, your the fucking maid, do your job and take my trash out. Mind you, I am a housekeeper myself and never would I ever speak to a customer or anyone like that ever. After my reply she called me a stupid fucking cunt. I walked to the office to inform the office about the behavior of there maid. After walking to the office, I met Elle. Someone who falsey identifies as the manager . She had no time for me. Didn't care what I had to say and completely dismissed me. Elle is not a good customer service representative aswell. And if employees like Joanna and Elle are employed there. They will continue to lose business. I have never met any housekeeper so ungrateful or rude or vulgar. Joanna stated she has worked there for two years. I am curious how? With a mouth like hers I'm surprised her head is still on her shoulders. read more

This is the best Motel 6 location I've ever been to, and I was introduced to Motel 6 on a trip in 1976. Things started well when I called for reservations, and wound up speaking with the manager. He was quite pleasant and helpful, and seemed like a really nice guy also When I got there, the woman at Registration was delightful, very nice and also very helpful. Other employees were also nice and helpful. Overall this place earned a return trip the next time I go to Mt St Helens The only negative was minor, that I asked for clean sheets, and didn't get them. I am not a picky person and my expectations were not high, I want to say that out the gate. I know the value I look for in Motel 6 or I wouldn't stay there. That being said, this was not a good experience and I won't stay here again. The bed was super bad with worn in body holes where you sleep. Just plain awful. I stayed in 210 so beware. The stairways are not conducive with travel back and forth for our room. It was literally the longest possible walk. Our bed was placed against a wall so that only one person could get out for the restrooms. This was not necessary since the room is half empty. Lastly, there is only a shower and no tub. I knew this ahead of time but this is not always the case with Motel 6. The staff was very very good, no complaining about them. The facilities are terrible and need a bad upgrade. read more

I don't particularly understand all the bad reviews. I looked this place up on our way here and got freaked out that we would have to go find another place to stay. After the fastest check in ever, we found our room. We stayed on the backside of the property, so the noise from the interstate was next to nothing. Our room smelled strongly of air freshener when we walked in - nothing that couldn't be fixed by leaving the door open for a minute. I'm not a huge fan of the bed being shoved up against the wall like it was in this one, but ended up being okay. Small stand up shower was different- but nothing we couldn't handle. Overall, the place is clean and cheap, what more could you ask for when staying at a motel 6? read more

Checking in was easy and the room was a lot nicer than I expected but there was no microwave, their ice machine was broken and I got a strange call from the front desk saying someone reported people smoking on the balcony and it wasn't allowed and if I could go tell the guests to not do that....so me being nice I got up went out on the balcony and walked down to a couple smoking and passed on the message. Let me start by saying it's a Motel 6 and not the Ritz Carlton. You get what you pay for and shouldn't expect more. We checked in around midnight and the women working the desk was fast, efficient and friendly. She was also willing to keep an eye on the goodies in the bed of our truck while we slept, which is an A+ you don't find often at the M6. The room was small, but clean and well kept. Although it had the trademark shower head that was so low that I had to limbo to wash my hair, there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was a little hard, but the pillows were soft and didn't smell like yucky detergent. There were plenty of clean towels and the noise level was far less then I expected from a motel next to the highway. Overall, $39 was a bargain for this clean little motel. read more

I left the Springfield Motel 6 and drove up to Kelso to the Motel 6 expecting the same kind of room. I was asking too much. There was no furniture in the Room, So no table to sit at to eat. There was a huge empty area where the table and chairs used to be, But what am I supposed to do with all that space? I suppose I could have danced..... In appearance it was OK. But that bed was so horrible that my back still hurts 2 days later. The Sun baked the front of the Room and the air conditioner struggled to compensate for that. It's very noisy, I 5 is right there and so loud it almost echoed. The laundry Room was closed, There was no ice and she said it had been weeks since they requested the machine get fixed, The pool is of course closed because of covid 19. I felt exposed to the weirdos wandering around in the parking lot. It was basically miserable. The clerk at the desk was cranky. After a few hours I went to another motel and reserved a room for the rest of my stay, and I must say, the extra $20 is completely worth it! Corporate needs to take a look! read more

I am a huge fan of Motel 6 generally. This is our motel of choice when we travel, and we travel quite frequently. We generally stay at the one about 20 miles South, but all of the bottom rooms were rented and I have a problem with the stairs. We asked for the handicapped room, as we always do, but hubby was told they did NOT HAVE one. How can that be? Isn't that a law in Washington? Then he needed to see "my ID" too. I won't lie; I was hesitant to book a room after reading other reviews. But I was in town for a lure coursing trial with my 2 dogs, and the "no pet fee" won me over. Checking in: So fast and easy. Sign here, tell them about my car (don't want it getting towed!), read the pet policy... And I'm done. What? Literally less than 5 minutes. My room: PERFECT size for an overnight. Best way to describe it is a "commuter room". And, on the ground floor as requested! (Senior dog; stairs are hard and her bladder isn't as strong as it once was). Everything was clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable!! By far the best part of the room though; the floors. Any dog owner knows, paws track in dirt no matter what, but especially on a rainy day. Well, have no fear. These pet-friendly rooms are laminate wood!! I could trust they were clean, and wiping up after 8 wet paws was a breeze! I also loved that the front desk called me an hour after check-in.. Just to ask how the room was and if I needed anything. A little gesture like that goes a long way in my book! Location: just off the highway, but I honestly didn't hear any noise. Maybe because the backside of the motel is nestled against the forest? Not sure. Added benefit for dog owners: the big grassy field in front! Admittedly, I'm not sure if it belongs to Motel 6, but it's great for potty breaks. (If it does belong to them, I would suggest a garbage can and poop bags for convenience, ). I don't know if this is intentional, but it appeared to me like they separate their guests with dogs from those with out. Something I'm sure both parties appreciate The next morning I reunited with 4 sets of friends also in town for the trial. They had carpeted floors and pet fees that were highly than advertised. After listening to me rave about my experience, they were sold. When we come back in the spring, Motel 6 will be our choice! Too long, didn't read? Brought 2 grandchildren with me from Tacoma to meet their Dad who is doing the STP this weekend. The draw to pick the Hotel 6 was the pool. It's not available today which is very disappointing. For almost $150.00 for one night the rooms are small plus no bathtub to soak in after a long time cycling . Then the pool being closed definitely pushed me into a 3 rating. No offer at the front desk to roll back the room price due to the pool issue. The shining light was the staff, they were apologetic, suggested we check out the local high school or the YMCA in Longview for pool access . read more

Visited: August 16-17 2014 Each Motel 6 advertisement is accompanied by the inviting voice of Tom Bodett and the catch phrase - "we'll leave the light on for ya". His voice and catchphrase effectively implies a relaxing visit. Our party of three was greeted behind the counter by a friendly septuagenarian. She explained the features of the motel calmly but succinctly. Customarily, lodgings offer free WiFi; not so here. She indicated that the optional WiFi was available for $3.75 per night. We decided against the WiFi. Fortunately, the cell phone signal was strong. Don't expect valet service or a luggage cart. We hauled our luggage up TWO flights of steps and into our individual rooms. The room was starkly appointed but acceptable. As I plopped my luggage onto the bed, it was apparent that the bedspread was neglected as evidenced by cigarette burn holes and an unclean appearance. The sheets lacked the texture and smell of newly laundered. The water flow from the sink was weak and tepid. Fortunately, the shower flow and temperature was strong and pleasantly hot. There was no shampoo; I used mine. The shower was not without its challenges. Water sprayed from the threaded portion of the shower head and outside the shower stall. I quickly shut the faucet, and placed a hand towel over the shower head then resumed my shower. While attempting to grab the hand towel, I accidentally slammed my knee on the aluminum shower stall causing minor bruising. Just before checkout the next day, I telephoned the front desk and reported the shower debacle. I neglected to report the bedspread and bed sheet unsavory discoveries. To Motel 6: Don't leave the light on for me because, I'm not returning. NOTE: a person in our travel party selected Motel 6. I never stayed at a Motel 6 but, was grateful she took the initiative to call ahead and reserve "any" place for the night. We were weary but happy from driving to several attractions. read more

Very pleased with the management at this particular Motel 6. There was a minor issue regarding room assignment, but the manager, Anthony Wells, quickly and satisfactorily resolved the issue. I was particularly impressed with Mr. Wells' professionalism. Because of Mr. Wells, I recommend this particular Motel 6 to anyone in the Kelso area. The call center booked us a smoking room, but none are available in WA. No biggy. The floor was unswept or vacuumed, the tub was dirty, the toilet seat was delamating nasty. There were old nicotine stains in the washroom and bathroom, and some wierd red waxy substance stuck all over the ceilings. The bed frame was not attached to the wall, so slid against the wall and banged with every shift or movement. The ice machine was broken, and the soda machine completely empty. Even the brochures on the lobby were advertizing events a year past. Altogether a horrid night. I often stay at hotel six, but will never stay at this one again. read more

I had a room in July 2019 that I had booked for a court date. The morning of my court date, the door to the room decided to jam, causing me to miss my court appearance altogether, which cost me $$$$$.The staff was beyond phenomenal with assisting me. The worst customer service I've ever experienced! We were in Seattle, not familiar with the area, and the booked for a hotel room 2 1/2 hours from our location. Once we realized 20 minutes later this was a bad location, I called to ask to move the location. They wanted to re-book us a new room and not refund the other. Room 203 is supposed to be a non smoking room but it reeked of cigarette smoke. Must have been in the walls because the bedding didn't smell. Also, some non handicapped employee parked in the 1 and only handicapped spot. The girl at the front desk couldn't have cared less so I asked for the manager which was Wanda, the acting manager for the day. She seemed to be more receptive. The employee who parked in the handicapped spot lost the keys to the car. It should be towed in my opinion. At the very least it could be pushed out as the windows are all down. read more

But the room had a noticeable smoke smell and the clerk didn't honor the booking.com rate I had thru that site and overcharged me 13 dollars and basically said too bad when I objected. Don't bother, especially if you have pets. I regularly stay at motel 6, Bc of their pet friendly policies. However, this hotel does not follow the same policies as every other motel 6. They also will not communicate this to you until you have already paid for the room and will not refund money. The hotel has a written pet policy which they do not follow. I asked housekeeping to avoid my room while my dog was crated inside because she has anxiety issues and did not want her being disturbed and getting worked up. I was told they would not do that and I couldn't leave the dog in the room, despite what their policy says. When I referenced the hotel's written policy the front desk staff was combative and rude. The only reason to stay at such a low rent hotel in a sketchy area is for the convenience of their supposed pet friendly policies. However this particular branch does not adhere to the company's standard policies. On top of the pet issues this hotel is in a terrible area and in general an unpleasant hotel to stay in. As I let my dog out to go to the bathroom I had a strung out methhead yelling at me from across the road. My supposedly nonsmoking room wreaked of smoked so strongly that I got a headache. The showers had such low pressure I couldn't rinse soap off, had no hot water, and shower head is so low I had to crouch uncomfortably low under it(I'm 5'7" so not exactly tall). Sheets on the bed had stains on them. The shower was dirty and There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. It was as if housekeeping had come it, made the bed and done nothing further. You're much better off finding a different hotel. It's not worth saving the $10/night to stay at this dump and deal with their unfriendly staff and sketchy area. read more

I gave this motel 1 star because both the day and night employees were very friendly. I was a little surprised to see that they didn't offer a military discount and when I asked about that, I was told that Corporate had decided that the motel was too far away from a military base for it to be cost effective to offer a military discount. My comment to this is, if I had a Motel 6 close to my home I wouldn't need a Motel 6 BECAUSE I COULD STAY AT MY HOME!!! The sign offered $39.99 for a single. I was told I could have a room with a noisy heater or a handicap room for $3 more. So now we're into charging handicapped people more for a room? That doesn't seem fair either. And of course Motel 6, unlike their competitors, charge you if you want WiFi. By the time I was done I'd spent about $54 on a room that was the size of a cardboard box almost. I could hear the person next door snoring. No joke. The bed was a double, not a queen, so we were sleeping almost on top of one another. I am older now and I don't have to find the cheapest rooms anymore so we've decided that from now on we'll spend a little extra if we have to and enjoy a few extra amenities. It was really a not so good experience, save for the desk people whom we found to be very friendly. As for Motel 6 Corporate, it's clear to me that they don't understand the struggles of being handicapped, nor do they appreciate the military in a significant way.
