It's clean, friendly, and cheap. Truck parking in the back. Fast food, and a restaurant close by.

Was greeted with a front parking space for military members which was a NICE touch. We had a double…read morequeen room. Place was great! Would've been nice to have twin sinks in bathroom but not a deal breaker (there's a work area in the room if you want a mirror/vanity area). There are NO coffee/tea facilities in the room BUT the Costa Coffee machines in the breakfast area more than makes up for it! Breakfast was so so. The proteins were all overcooked, but they had several yogurt types. No boiled eggs restocked. Your typical carb heavy breakfast (with a pancake making station if you are so inclined). The pool/hot tub looked VERY inviting (plenty of towels). The gym was great! Equipment all worked and dumbells all present. The one thing I missed was no gym mats. We ate in Hermitage (10 min drive) at The Hickory Bar & Grill - GREAT selection for the fish eater or red meat. We then drove about five mins to Buhl Park which was a perfect way to burn off some dinner. Very scenic and with frisby golf, a walking running trail with work out stations and lovely walking tree lined walking trails. Back at the hotel around 8pm cookies / popcorn were there to greet us, BUT there is really no cozy place in the foyer to enjoy. There is a couch with two side chairs that only face the TV which is really high and could cause a stiff neck. No place to put your coffee/cookies as the only surface is rounded and made of faux leather with a big ornate bowl in the middle of it. However, on check out I asked the front desk if sitting in the breakfast area is OK in the evenings and she said, "Absolutely!" Perfect location for getting off 80 and nice scenic horizon - also the gardens were LOVELY but we didn't have time to sit our there and enjoy them. We would most definitely stay here again.

We were greeted warmly upon check-in. The hot breakfast was well stocked and dining room nicely appointed. Our room was clean and spacious. We were happy with our stay.

Let's just say, we aren't totally the dedicated campers where we need to pitch tents, bring all the accessories and sleep on the ground. That's why this place especially stood out as they had luxury cabins for rent. Or as my partner said, I'm good as long as I have air conditioning and running water! The cabin came with a screened-in porch, an outdoor fire pit for evening s'mores, a loft where the kids slept, a full living room and kitchen with refrigerator another room with bunkbeds, a bathroom and then the master bedroom at the back of the cabin complete with dressers to put away your clothes. I'm one of those people that always unpacks and must have things organized, so it was a lifesaver. You can rent golf carts, highly recommended as the grounds are spacious and some of the cabins are located far away from the activities. There are also communal laundry facilities, which were great to have since we had to use them day 1 of our trip! The common area offers free activities like playgrounds, mini golf, character meet n' greets and wagon rides along with firetruck rides. Other activities cost extra like ceramic making, tie die shirt making, glitter tattoos and several others. Some nights they offer free movie screenings and other programs. Overall, this was like camping without the pain! That's my kind of camping. Cabin rentals are a little pricey, but with all that space, it could accommodate a large family or even combine it with others to help split the cost. Finally, the biggest hit was the water park. This is a can't miss. We got a poolside cabana and spent most of our days here. The kids didn't want to leave!

The mechanic said they couldn't get the part installed until the next day, so we were forced to stay the night, but he said that thankfully there was a pleasant motel right up the hill. We didn't know what type of place it would be, and couldn't have been more pleased that it ended up being a friendly, clean, and comfortable place to stay. The owners were very kind and welcoming, and the room was very clean, which is what matters most as far as I'm concerned. The decor was a bit dated, but in a way I found pleasantly nostalgic and unique, not like staying in a generic chain motel/hotel, and the restaurant down the hill did a decent dinner and breakfast. There may have been some faint traffic noise from the highway seeping in at night, but nothing I couldn't sleep through. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise view from the top of the hill. Overall a very pleasant stay for very cheap. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, even if our car doesn't break down! We were fortunate enough to have a bad thing happen in a good place.

Emlenton Motor Inn has the ability to make a campfire, quaintly decorated rooms, Sasquatch-themed, kitschy souvenirs and decor. Comfortable rooms with fridge & coffee maker. Loses a star because it advertises included breakfast, yet you only get a $5 coupon per person to the local diner (our "free" breakfast for a family of three was $25 plus tip). Also, they hold an extra $100 on your credit card, which was not something disclosed at booking. Still, a quaint motel off the beaten path which we look forward to frequenting in our future travels!
