Bath towels are very small, no hot water in the shower, no fridge, no microwave, no drawers. Wall mounted TV couldn't be plugged in as there was no outlet close enough to do so. Floors were not clean; when I wiped up some water on the floor after my shower there were dirt streaks left on the towel, plus I had to rewash the soles of my feet after walking barefoot across the room to get clean socks. No USB ports to plug in a phone charger. Drain plug missing from sink. Surrounding area smells bad, like sewage or stockyards. Rust in the bathroom & gouges in the wall by the bedside table. After 12 hours of driving I chose this place due in no small part to Tom Bodett commercial memories. The clerk was nice and check in was easy. The room was recently remodeled and looked surprisingly clean and modern. It is a Motel 6 still though and that brings some baggage. A cattle facility I've called Cowshwitz because it is such an unhappy looking place is nearby / almost across the freeway which might explain the dust and odor levels people complain about. After a rain tho, I had no problems. If it's you and a buddy or travel with spouse finding you quite can't make it all the way on your trip and sleeping at a rest stop is not an option, I'd have no trouble booking a stay here. It's pretty basic - no fridge or microwave in room and the heating / AC is not ideal. I got my son from school and we stopped here - no problems but we didn't linger. read more

This was literally the worst motel experience I've ever had. It was the nastiest room I've ever seen in my life, and I used to be a maid. The whole place smelled of urine. The room itself was so disgusting there was blood on the bed skirt and floor. There was mold all around the whole shower. There was dirt and gross stuff all over the floor. Poop on the walls. Empty toilet paper holder. The sink was clogged and wouldn't drain. It looks as if the floors have never been swept or moped! Just overall the worst motel experience ever. I stayed here twice as I drive from Texas a lot with my dogs to San Francisco. They allow dogs and it's your typical motel 6. Though this one had more normal people staying in it and not meth heads . It does smell outside due to cattle place across the highway , but nothing I did not expect . I would normally give 5 stars but my bathroom had a leak in the shower ceiling, don't know it was from the toilet in the above room or pipe in the ceiling. I am a Hilton diamond and a Marriott titanium, as I travel for work, they would have comped me the room , giving me points for a free stay or discount my room, motel 6 did nothing , not even an apology. Took a trip to San Francisco and decided to spend the night here. We booked here because it was a cheap place and had a late 8pm check in and 7am check out. I'd definitely wouldn't stay here again. The staff was great but the rooms are very gross. The rooms have bugs and they do have warning signs that it's a farmland and there's nothing they can do about them but I'm sure there is some kind of bug repellent they can spray around the property. We were constantly killing bugs in the room. The bed sheets were worn out they were grey in color not white. Also nasty stains on the bed skirt. They also didn't have hot running water the night we stayed. Next time I'd definitely pay more $$ elsewhere for a decent night sleep. read more

My husband was forced to stay here for work because his normal hotels rooms were sold out. He saw a pubic hair in the bath tub. He saw 5 spiders in his room in less than 5 minutes. He slept in the room in his work clothes and didn't shower because he was afraid he'd catch something or the spiders would eat him. There is also no coffee maker in the room. My very first motel 6 experience! Check-in wrapped up in 3 minutes which was awesome after 11 hours worth of driving BUT the clerk (nice gentleman!) shared his opinion on US events for another 20 minutes until my husband came looking to rescue me The room hadn't been occupied in awhiiiiiiile - maybe since JFK was in office IDK - but there was a dead fly in the middle of the room and a huge spider beneath the desk w/ the biggest spider web i have ever seen. I felt bad we had to destroy his little mansion bc he was truly living his best little spider life. The towels were cleaned I am sure but clearly used ...a lot... a whooole lot.. Tv on the wall was so small my husband walked right past it and said "aw man, no tv" (). Lastly, I was compelled to go out to our moving truck and dig out the cleaning supplies so we could use the bathroom at least. My husband laughed all night at my polite but wide eyes of semi-terror at having to sleep there. The shower was dirty and luckily I brought Clorox with me due to the pandemic but I shouldn't have had to clean a bathroom. The noise from above us was ongoing all night. Thank god we left early. I've stayed at multiple Motel 6's before and this particular location was well-kept. The pool was clean, the room was clean, the grounds were well-kept. It looks like the owners care. Our room was facing the inner courtyard and was very simple with wood floors, no refrigerator, and a desk with a chair. The sink appeared to have been just replaced. I was given a room on the first floor a few doors down from the manager's office, which was good otherwise I might not have felt safe. We stayed here two nights in May 2015 and it was great! The rooms are all new and look very cool. The hardwood floors are nice since carpets can be trashy. But really, really great job. Great prices still. You can get a pass for wifi for 24 hours but have to pay $2.99 to $4.99 after that. Get an upstairs room, if possible because there is no carpeting - the people upstairs can get loud. There is no coffee machines or fridges, but for the price, it is okay. They have the pool, laundry room, ice machine, and plenty of soda machines. Plus you are just a walk from many gas stations and fast food places. Coffee is available in the lobby as well. Be aware that anywhere that you go outside, it may smell like cow poop but you cannot smell it in the room and the smell comes and goes outside. All in all - 5 stars - Staff is really friendly, met the owner, he is nice and you cannot go wrong for the price and the new upgrades. read more

Checked in at 2 pm. with a family of 4. Was given room 156 for a 1 night stay. When I walked into the room, I was greeted with an old room smell. Almost mildew, that I didn't like. The air conditioning was loud, and you could tell the filter had not been replaced in months. Also, the bathroom fan didn't work. Tried getting a refund from the person at the front desk at 10 pm after I decided i couldn't stand the poop smell when i relieved myself since the fan didnt work, i got a new room elsewhere. So...we were moving up north and became fatigued on the way up. There's really no other reason to stay at a crap-hole like this. We bit the bullet and slept here for about 4 hours...just enough to be relatively safe on the road in a 26 ft moving truck. Unpleasantries: Poop air. At nighttime, you may not notice it, but bright and early in the morning, it's hard to avoid. You're probably less than a mile from thousands of cows that live on dirt. Cows that are soon to become beef. Try not to spend too much time outside here. The air smells wet...and heavy. As far as the room goes: it LOOKED clean, but it had that vibe...like you just can't see the grime but it's really there. So call us snobs...but both of us slept with extra clothing covering our pillowcases. I slept with my hood on. The bathroom...there was a pube on the toilet seat when we got there. Apparently, visitors must steal trash cans here or something because there were NONE in the room at all. Two ashtrays and a non-smoking sticker? Am overwhelming smell of smoke in the room. They are pet-friendly...not that anyone would notice if your smuggled your pet in anyway. read more

Do not stay here. The room was dirty. The amount of dust on the vent grates was absolutely appalling. The heat controls were broken and then when we tried to check out, the door was closed and a sign on the door saying "Out to lunch. Be back soon". Literally at check out time. Jose, the night clerk was WONDERFUL. I had just spent 6 hours packing a moving truck for my move from San Diego to Washington State and I could barely walk I was in so much pain. This young gentleman was accommodating, polite and happy even though he had phone calls coming in and people going into the office. He took the extra time to assist me. He called me 15 minutes after check in to make sure everything was okay. When I felt the air conditioner wasn't working right and came and checked on it and brought me a fan and extra pillows. This young man is management material in the making. Any manager would be very happy to have somebody with this kind of customer service spirit because it doesn't come along every day. Stayed here last year, first the whole town smelt like cow poop, which was highly unpleasant. The rooms were dirty, extremely hot despite having the "fan" turned on, payed 5 dollars for "high speed" wifi which was about as fast as dial up internet from the 90s. Pros: * Cost. I confused hotel .com prices with another M6, but the front desk agent was kind enough to give me a bit of a discount. It was $67+tax as a walk-in... I thought it was $45... she gave me $54/nt+tax. I'll take it. * Very clean, modern, quiet, safe motel. Seems to have been recently refurbished, otherwise, it's a relatively new motel. The whole property has a nice, calm feel to it. * Central a/c is very effective... noisy, but I don't mind the white noise while sleeping. It did mean, however, that I needed to crank the TV sound in order to hear it. * There are a few fast food places... McD's, Taco Bell, Carl's Jr, Baha Fresh, Subway (all walkable) & for some reason, an expensive sit-down restaurant/inn... Harris Restaurant & Inn... tonight's hotel fee is $169. Since this is basically a truck stop & no one lives out here, I wouldn't have thought most would be looking for a pricey inn & fine dining... well, it's here. There are also some Chinese & Mexican sit-down places, according to Google, but I don't know if they deliver & didn't pass them... you'd need to drive. * Nice flat screen TV, but no HBO. Cons: * No fridge or microwave. * That's it. 5* out of 5. A really nice gem in the middle of nowhere on your way to somewhere. read more

Luckily the axe murderer stayed in the room next to us and the rapist was in a different building so we were safe. I did my usual inspection for critters. The mattress looked pretty new. It was comfortable. I had no problems. Yes, this is a Motel 6. Yes it is along the 5 frwy in cow country. So you are going to smell the lovely fragrance of livestock. It's not the motel's fault. This is not some high falutin luxury hotel... but for those of us on a budget that don't feel like shelling out a month's car payment for an overpriced night's sleep... this place serves it's purpose and I would stay here again. This is a review of this Motel 6 compared to other low budget hotels. Clearly this isn't the Hilton, but the staff was friendly, the rooms relatively quiet, the hot shower refreshing, and the heater worked wonderfully. My boyfriend and I spent a night here to break up a 15 hour road trip. The place is nothing luxurious, but for what it is, it's completely adequate. Let's be honest...if you're reading this review, you aren't too good for these modest accommodations.
