One word: YUCK. WITH HOW LONG THINGS HAVE BEEN SHUT DOWN THERE IS NO REASON HOTELS SHOULDNT BE CLEANED OR BLEACHED IN BATHROOMS?! Obviously haven't bothered here. How about this hotel owners, YOU stay in your worst rooms you're giving to public and see if it's acceptable. Most hotels along trip have been ok, to of these have been deplorable. Other reviews aside, quick and clean visit all told. The room was clean -- and I even did the Anthony Melchiorri ("Hotel Impossible") dust check in a few places just for grins. It passed the test. Shower ran hot and steady through, the room had a microwave and fridge -- bonus! -- and plenty of parking for bigger rides. The night clerk (arrived about 10pm) was outside when I arrived, then in the lobby chatting with some friends about her trip earlier to Little Rock, but whatever... when it came time to get me checked in, she was all business, and got me squared away without much fuss. For better or worse, I "Motel 6" it a lot, and this was definitely one on the upper scale of decent. read more

This room is disgusting and dirty. Even though the room is big it needs to be cleaned and fixed. The sink is clogged, room smells, carpet dirty, walls have stains and mini fridge is dirty inside like no one even bother cleaning after the last guest. The only thing they did was made the beds and hopefully sheets been washed. I don't even feel safe sleeping on the bed. Wish I could stay in a different room if it wasn't for the icy road. I can't wait to check out in the morning so we can get to our destination. This place looks good from the outside but beware. Check out rooms before checking in. read more

Drive the extra hour to Memphis or Little Rock. My wife and I immediately changed rooms upon checking in because entering the room was like stepping inside one of those vanilla-lavender wax things that your grandmother fills her bathroom with. This was clearly meant to compensate for the smoking room next door. After asking if we can switch rooms, staff upgraded us to a king-sized bed, which was nice. We haven't checked out yet, however, so I don't know if they'll charge us more. Overall, the staff was fine, but they didn't make us feel welcome, by any means. The second room also reeks of the same smell, though it's a little less terrible. The air conditioner is raising holy hell in the corner. The television is a direct purchase from the 1970s. There's no refrigerator or microwave in this room, even though the first room had both. Overall, we drove 7 hours today, already, so my wife and I aren't going to make the effort to continue on and get a refund and all of that. But you should. You should definitely drive right by. read more

My family is in the process of moving across the country [from Northern California to Tennessee]. My sons were driving the pickup, my wife was driving the van with my two daughters, our dog and our cat, and I was driving the 26' U-Haul towing a Toyota. We were quite the entourage. We attempted to stay at some motels earlier in the evening but [much to my dismay] my family did not seem daring. My son called the other motels "Children of the Corn". Anyway, Motel 6 -- usually a reliable, consistently average place to stay for a large family -- sometimes disappoints. In this instance, I was pleasantly surprised. To begin with, we needed two rooms because [obviously] putting 6 people in a room with two animals is a bit much. It was getting late and cars were starting to fill up the parking lot, but I drove the truck around the back and found VERY convenient parking for larger vehicles with trailers. At the last 2 Motel 6's we stayed at, pets were $10 each (which is understandable) but they didn't charge us for the pets here. It was a welcome surprise. The staff was very friendly, the easiest check-in we have had on this trip so far, and as we were unloading all of our PILES of stuff into our rooms, the phone rang. It was just the front desk clerk making sure we have everything we need. Yes... at a Motel 6. We were impressed. When we settled into our rooms, we kicked back to check our Facebooks, ready our emails, and let everybody know we were safe. The wi-fi was free and decent -- not really fast enough to stream video, but I have FINALLY been able to post my Yelp reviews for the last few days. (Yes, I'm staying here tonight... so if anything happens like my truck is gone or something, I'll do an update.) :) I don't know how comfortable the beds are yet, but I can see that this was quite a motel in its' day -- and it looks like they are in the process of getting it there again. So why am I only giving it 3 stars when I clearly like this place? Well... My room is full of mosquitoes. It's been so wet and muggy that mosquitoes are all over the place. My room, my sons room, etc. Bring some bug repellent or mosquito traps -- or maybe even a fly swatter. We were killing them right and left when we realized we were smacking on the neighbors walls. Would I stay here again? Yes. And I would even recommend it to my friends -- if they brought bug repellent. :) read more

Check the room before you check in. Our room was very clean but there was a couple maintenance issues. The toilet seat was not attached, the smoke detector was hanging, and the door lock would not unlock at first. But everything in the room was clean. The fridge, microwave, bathroom, carpet, etc. we're all fine. The building is old and showing it's age. The staff was friendly and hard working. They seem to be renovating and trying to improve the facility. Bottom line, we got a good night sleep and saved some money. read more

Worst Mote6 I have ever stayed in. Dirty Floors, when wiped with paper towel, the towel was black. Supposed to have in room coffee maker, didn't have one. Wood floor was coming apart and up off the floor by the sink area. Stupin wood plank installation right on top of the old stinky carpet. NO one was manning the check in area in the morning of 20 Oct 2017 between 0600 -0730. The room was locked with no access to any so called morning coffee. It appears the owner/manager/worker absolutely does not give a care about anything in the motel! Basically accepts your money at check in and doesn't give a s--t about their facility or service. Have Stayed at the Brinkley AR motel 6 at it's previous location across the freeway and it was great, Now absolutely terrible! Never, Never again. read more

This was the motel of my nightmares. I was with a big group, so we had three rooms. All the rooms had different amenities, such as no TV in one room even though there was a remote and channel guide. The carpeting was jank. There was a slightly creepy atmosphere about the place, and the sign from the previous motel was still clearly visible from the parking lot. Then came our unsettling discovery. My friend found that he had been attacked by bed bugs in the night. When we informed the staff, they said that they had been very busy and hadn't had time to turn all of the sheets over! They offered to let us wash all the clothing that was in the infected room for free, and gave us a full refund. There was only one useable washer for the entire place and we noticed the cleaning staff go into the room and clean it as normal! We called the local health department to inform them of our disaster, and they said that they would come to inspect . The lady at the front desk said that they were fully booked, but as we drove off we noticed only 1 car in the parking lot. Shady place.... read more

We almost always stay at Motel 6 and are satisfied. All we are looking for is a basic place to sleep . This one was horrible. To start, my husband asked for either a king bed or two full size beds. We were given a room with one tiny full size bed. The toilet tank was leaning against the wall like it was going to fall off. There were at least three layers of carpet. The table and chair (ONE chair) looked like garage sale finds that were wobbly and ready to fall apart. The TV remote only worked for going down the channels. The up button didn't work. There was no type of guide to let you know which station you were watching. The pool was green and scummy and had obviously not been used in years. It did have free wifi and the shower had good pressure and hot water. read more

This has been a fantastic motel to stay in! I just wish I could change the tv to HDMI and watch movies on my laptop. However I haven't had any problems at all. The staff is friendly and always seem happy. I highly recommend staying here if you come to town! read more

Stayed here with my wife and two year old. Cheap cheap cheap, seriously your not gonna find a better deal in the area. Not that impressive from the outside, but plenty of parking (including trailers) and a very good attached Mexican restaurant. Rooms are much better than the outside would suggest. Only gripes, key-card readers are upside down and the water pressure isn't super great. read more

Truthfully, I don't think the staff does anything between guests besides change the sheets (I hope) and pick up trash. My husband had to clean the pubic hair and urine spots off the toilet and in the shower you could wipe what appeared to be many weeks of scum from the shower wall. The carpet wasn't swept.and needed scrubbed desperately. Awful, awful, awful. It may be conveniently located off the interstate, but it's not worth it. KEEP GOING! read more

I don't recommend this place at all. The first room we were given the door didn't close at all. Not even enough to lock. The second room the bathroom door wouldn't shut. There is no pet walking area on the hotel property. There was a possible gun shot that I heard while walking my dogs. read more

The room was filthy, had not even been vacuumed. The bathtub and shower curtain were covered in mildew. The room had an unpleasant smell, too. Will NEVER stay at a Motel 6 ever again. Second bad experience. The other was at the Scott Hamilton location in Little Rock. read more

After having traveled 3 days of a 6 day cross country move, we chose this Motel 6 because they are a pet friendly chain and we've stayed at many locations in the past. This one by far the worst. The room was next to a couple with a baby. When I talked to the front desk about it, because we didn't want our dogs to bother them, they chose to only "talk to" the guests in that room. Why?? Not their fault! Then the doorknob of the room came right off...missing screw, tv (nice big flat screen) just shut off and stopped working, had to spray the non smoking room with febreeze as it clearly had been smoked in. Went to front desk to ask for another room and the owner (older gentleman) was angry with US. Had me check out another room...other side of building on 2nd floor...it was missing the remote to the 1990s tv, but they got a new one and got it working. We left a bag of take out food in previous room so my husband went to go retrieve it not even 5 minutes later. The owner first said he didn't see it, then said he threw it away...no dinner for me. And he was preparing the room for another guest!!! How can you rent out a room in that condition?! I'm no motel snob so this place was a huge disappointment!! read more

It was a nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and rooms very really spacious. No charge for pets was excellent. One of the best Motel6 we stayed at. They also have swimming pool, which is great for kids and cool off in this heat. We had a pleasant stay. Will definitely recommend to others. read more

Wish I'd read the other review before I showed up. The room was very large, but was by far the dirtiest motel room I've ever seen. The very old and dingy sheets featured multiple stains, and even a few pubic hairs to welcome me into bed! There was a large spot of toothpaste on the carpet and also drops of what appeared to be shampoo on the side of the tub. All of these could have been removed with 30 seconds of work with a damp sponge. The staff were fine in the lobby, but seemed to think of checking people in and out as an interruption to chatting with their friends. Nasty, nasty place. Avoid! read more

Motel 6's motto of "We'll leave the lights on" should remain off at this location. The staff was minimal, and the room's rug was spotted with unmentionables. The pass key did not work. Also, somehow my cosmetic case disappeared from my room, and when I realize it was missing from my suitcase at my next destination, I tried calling the motel and no one would answer the phone. I called the reservation number to try to get some assistance, and they called the motel and called me back saying they did not find my property. The motel chain apparently doesn't take responsibility for items left behind. I don't recall I had left anything behind. I had my medications in the cosmetic case. So don't make the mistake of staying there even though you need a place to stay after a long day of traveling. read more

This is the worst motel I've ever stayed at. From the room not opening to the other one smelling like something died! The first one was not clean. We had to try three rooms before we got in. We looked in other windows and there were ripped up mattresses on the tables. I do not recommend staying here. read more
